"Terrible... Who could have done such a thing!?"
Rona, the laid-back white mage in the class, called out with tears in her eyes. The other classmates also expressed their anger, but Luisa remained calm.
Or rather, she had become calm beyond anger. Although she had only spent about two weeks with her classmates, Luisa had grown to love them dearly. Such an act that hurt them was unforgivable.
"Chisha, can I talk to you for a moment?"
"Hmm? What is it?"
Luisa approached Chisha, one of her classmates, a young halfling. He was even smaller than the petite Luisa and had a childlike face, which made him get along well with Luisa, who was also small and had a youthful appearance.
"Can you help me find the culprit?"
When Luisa asked this, Chisha smiled mischievously and replied, "Sure."
"So, what do you need me to do?"
"There must still be traces of the culprit. I want you to use your magic to find them."
"Okay, I'll do it right away."
Chisha extended his hand over the devastated classroom and cast a spell.
"Magic Analysis"
As Chisha spoke, a bluish-white light enveloped the classroom. This spell, which can analyze and examine objects within a range, is a high-level spell. Normally, it is used on objects held in the hand, and it cannot be used over a wide area. However, Chisha possessed exceptional talent in analysis magic, allowing him to use it to cover the entire classroom.
Although halflings usually rely on their dexterous hands and agile bodies, Chisha lacked these talents. Instead, he was given the talent for analysis magic. As a rare talent, he was often looked down upon by his fellow halflings who rarely used magic, which led him to leave his hometown and come to the kingdom, seeking a place where he belonged.
"Sure, Chisha. Not only is the range impressive, but the way you channel your magic is flawless."
"Stop it, Luisa. I wouldn't have improved this much without your training."
Luisa and her close classmates practiced magic together after school, which greatly improved the magical skills of the Z class. Chisha's magic, which initially could only cover a desk, had improved significantly in just two weeks.
And soon, the spell detected traces of the intruder.
"Ah, there's a hair that's not ours. And these footprints... they belong to a student in the same year. Ha, even fingerprints are left behind. How careless."
"...Chisha, you'd be a formidable enemy. I'm glad you're my friend."
Having identified the culprit who vandalized the classroom, Luisa asked Chisha for the details and immediately prepared to go.
"Chisha, aren't you coming?"
"I'll pass on the rough stuff. But if Luisa goes, it should be fine, right?"
He said this with a mischievous smile and bumped fists with Luisa.
"Then I'll be off."
As Luisa turned to leave, a trio of classmates stood in her way.
"Hey, rough stuff is our job!"
The one speaking was Burn, who loved fights. Behind him were his good friends, Dokabe and Merel. These three, who often caused trouble, were affectionately called the "Three Idiots" by their classmates.
"O, o but we're angry!"
"Let's go quickly!"
The strong Dokabe and the fast Merel were eager to go. Luisa smiled at the two of them.
"Alright, let's show the power of the Z class!"
Thus, Luisa and the Three Idiots hurriedly ran off to confront the culprit.
