As cherry blossom petals danced in the wind, Misaki opened the old diary and read the words of promise written there.

Haurou and his six cronies launched various spells at Louis and his group.

Their aim wasn't particularly good, but the spells had considerable power. They had to be careful not to hit the other class's onlookers gathered in the hallway.

As Louis quickly processed these thoughts, one of the Three Idiots, the giant Doka, stepped forward.

"Leave it to me! Middle-level barrier!!"

A blue, glowing magical barrier appeared in front of Doka, nullifying all of Haurou's spells.

Seeing this, Haurou and his group's faces turned pale.

This is ridiculous. Our spells were blocked by a single middle-level spell!? And by someone we don't even know!?

Taking advantage of their shock, Bahn stepped forward and began to channel his magic.

"Hah-ha! Good job, Doka! Leave the rest to me!! My ultimate explosion!!"

When Bahn activated his spell, Haurou and his group's wands exploded and shattered.

The explosion spell, while highly powerful, is notoriously difficult to control, and it should be impossible to activate it with such precision.

However, Bahn had been participating in Louis's after-school training sessions (commonly known as Louis's Academy) every day and had successfully improved its accuracy while maintaining its power.

"Hey, Haurou!! Wasn't this supposed to be an easy win!!"

"Shut up!! If you have time to talk, attack!!"

"Even if I wanted to, I can't use strong spells without a wand!"

Haurou and his group, caught in a difficult situation with just two spells, were thrown into confusion.

They had used magic in class and bullied weaker students, but they were amateurs when it came to real combat.

On the other hand, Louis and his group had been undergoing daily combat training at Louis's Academy and had even learned the efficient method of channeling magic without a wand, as taught by the Demon King.

They were on a different level from the A-class students.

"Damn it! I can't keep up anymore!"

Saying this, three of Haurou's cronies fled.

However, the last of the Three Idiots, the small boy Merel, blocked their path.

"Whoa, you can't run. That's not fair after starting a fight."

"Move! Or you'll regret it!"

Underestimating Merel because of his small size, the three clenched their fists and lunged at him.

Merel smiled and cast a spell.

"Enhanced leg strength...!!"
