Chapter 44: Class

After eating, Chu Jianqiu followed the outer disciples to a building complex that looked like a school.

In the first month after new disciples join, their main task is to learn various courses to familiarize themselves with the rules and regulations, history, and organizational structure of the Xuanjian Sect.

Chu Jianqiu followed the crowd into a large classroom that could accommodate over three hundred people, where rows of desks and chairs were arranged.

Chu Jianqiu casually chose a seat and sat down.

"Senior Brother Chu, you're here too!"

Just as Chu Jianqiu sat down, he heard a voice exclaim in surprise beside him. He turned his head to see a delicate and frail girl standing next to him, holding a notebook. It was Fu Lingxue, the girl from Tianshui County who had come with him.

Seeing Fu Lingxue, Chu Jianqiu was slightly surprised and nodded in greeting, "Are you doing well? Has Han Anyi given you any trouble?"

Fu Lingxue shook her head, "No, after you all left, I was invited by some senior sisters from the Purple Mist Society and joined them."

"Senior Brother Chu, can I sit here?" Fu Lingxue paused, pointing to the seat next to Chu Jianqiu.

"Of course!" Chu Jianqiu smiled slightly.

Hearing this, Fu Lingxue was overjoyed. She placed her notebook on the desk and carefully sat down next to Chu Jianqiu.

In fact, back in Tianshui City, she had long admired Chu Jianqiu, but at that time, Chu Jianqiu was too outstanding, being the young master of one of the four major families in Tianshui City, and he was already with Liu Tianyao.

She was just a lowly-born daughter of a minor family in Tianshui City, so even though she admired Chu Jianqiu, she never dared to show it, let alone even get to know him.

She was always very low-key in her cultivation, and few people knew about her bloodline talent or cultivation level.

It wasn't until the Xuanjian Sect came to Tianshui City to recruit disciples that she mustered the courage to step forward and successfully passed the Xuanjian Sect's test.

Not long after they sat down, a graceful and gentle woman walked in from outside.

The woman walked to the podium, placed a thick book on the table, and looked around at the new disciples below, smiling as she said, "Hello everyone, my name is Li Chunrou. I will be teaching you the introductory courses. Welcome to the Xuanjian Sect."

This woman was already beautiful, and with her gentle and kind demeanor, she instantly won the favor of many new disciples. As soon as the female instructor finished speaking, there was a round of applause and cheers from below.

Li Chunrou raised her hand slightly to quiet the crowd.

"Since you have just joined the Xuanjian Sect, you are not familiar with many things. Next, I will give you some introductory guidance for new disciples."

Hearing Li Chunrou's words, the crowd below immediately perked up their ears. This was indeed what they needed to know the most at the moment.

They had just joined the Xuanjian Sect and were completely unfamiliar with most things, even not knowing where to eat, feeling utterly lost.

Li Chunrou started with daily life and meals, then moved on to cultivation matters, how to advance to the inner sect, and how to obtain resources.

"In the first month, you will learn various courses with me to understand the history and development of the Xuanjian Sect, as well as its rules and regulations. After understanding the basic knowledge, I will teach you the basic cultivation method of the Xuanjian Sect."

"What, just the basic introductory cultivation method?"

"Can you teach us a more advanced cultivation method?"

When they heard that only the basic introductory cultivation method would be taught, the crowd was immediately disappointed. Most of them were from the noble families of various counties and were not satisfied with just learning a basic cultivation method.

"Don't worry, this basic cultivation method is of the highest quality in the Xuan rank, and it will definitely not disappoint you. If you want to practice more advanced cultivation methods, you need to work hard and strive to enter the inner sect," Li Chunrou explained with a smile.

Li Chunrou's words immediately turned the crowd's disappointment into wild joy. If a basic introductory cultivation method could reach the highest quality in the Xuan rank, then the more advanced ones would be of the Earth rank.

They had all practiced at best a mid-quality Xuan rank cultivation method, and most had only practiced a low-quality Xuan rank method, or even a Yellow rank method.

To be able to practice a high-quality Xuan rank method right from the start was beyond their wildest dreams.

In the Xuanjian Sect, this was the basic cultivation method, but if placed in their families, it would be a treasure.

"How can we enter the inner sect?" someone couldn't help but ask. If they could receive such treatment in the outer sect, then entering the inner sect would be even more unimaginable, which was a huge temptation for everyone.

"To enter the inner sect, you need to reach the Sixth Level of True Qi and earn at least six credits," Li Chunrou answered with a smile.

"Credits, what are credits? How do we earn them?"

Li Chunrou's words instantly confused the crowd. Reaching the Sixth Level of True Qi was understandable, but what were these credits? This was the first time they had heard of such a thing.

"Credits are the assessment of the courses you study. After passing the assessment of the courses you study, you can earn credits," Li Chunrou patiently explained.

"What courses do we need to study?" someone asked again.

"The courses we offer in the outer sect include history, geography, talisman techniques, array formations, alchemy, weapon forging, medicine, planting, and beast taming..."

"Talisman techniques, array formations, and alchemy are fine, but what's the use of studying history and geography? Isn't this a waste of our time!" a voice said disdainfully, with a hint of arrogance.

Who was so impolite?

The crowd turned to see that it was Si Fengkai from Qingshan County. This guy, due to his outstanding bloodline talent, was allowed to directly enter the inner sect during yesterday's test, making him even more arrogant and condescending.

Li Chunrou's face turned slightly cold, and she said calmly, "The Xuanjian Sect does not want to cultivate a bunch of ignorant brutes who know nothing but fighting."

"Without knowledge of history, you won't even know basic common sense. If you rashly violate taboos, you will not only be laughed at by your peers but also bring trouble to the sect."

"Without knowledge of geography, if you go out and can't even find your way back, does the Xuanjian Sect need to form a search team to specifically look for these lost fools?"

"Therefore, we not only need to study history and geography, and these two courses are mandatory. If you fail the assessment in these two courses, no matter how high your cultivation level is, you cannot advance to the inner sect. The Xuanjian Sect does not want to cultivate a bunch of ignorant fools who will embarrass us."

The crowd burst into laughter at Li Chunrou's words.

Si Fengkai's face turned red with embarrassment, and his eyes revealed a cold and sinister look.
