In this world, there were three great organizations.
The first is the Phoenix Knight Corps, which Veig belonged to.
This organization was based in the imperial capital of Gheil, and captured criminals to bring peace.
Under the battalion captain, Luke Volndt, there were five squadrons. The third knight squadron, which Veig was commander of, was one of them.
After parting ways with us, Veig returned to Gheil and paid a visit to the captain.
“I’ve returned, captain.”
“Oh, you’re back, Veig. Good job on your mission.”
“Respectfully, if I may, sir, I wasn’t the one who defeated her.”
Veig, showing respect, continued explaining.
“That classless boy you reported? I’ve already arranged for the reward to be sent to him. So how did the scouting go?”
Even as the captain spoke frankly to him, Veig chuckled.
“No dice. He refused the job. Apparently, he doesn’t like the uptightness of the job.”
When the captain heard the reason for the refusal, he was flabbergasted for a moment, but soon after, he started laughing.
“I see! I wonder why you’re so interested in him.”
“Yes. He’s an interesting man.”
The two men shared a laugh… but the captain stopped to announce something.
“We’ll just have to monitor him. He might be just what this world needs… the military seems to be taking notice of his ability too.”
“Understood.”
Veig lowered his head…
The military that the captain spoke of…
That was another one of the great organizations, the Tiger Demon Fang Army.
Although they didn’t have a specific base of operations, the Tiger Demon Fang Army was as large as the Phoenix Knight Corps.
The Tiger Demon Fang Army also worked to keep the peace in Reinbark. However, they were in opposition to the knights.
This was due to the way the military worked. They would take violent action for peace’s sake.
It is told that they carry out an assassination for the sake of peace, and some even say they execute those who go against the military.
The knights couldn’t keep their mouths shut about these methods, and the situation was tense enough for war to break out at any time.
At a Tiger Demon Fang Army base, two men were talking.
“Seira Grundt, wanted in Fielin Forest, was defeated by someone who wasn’t even an adventurer. What’s more, I heard the guy was still a kid.”
“On top of that, I heard that guy was classless.”
“He defeated Seira with such a level difference… If we bring him into our ranks, our army will become stronger.”
The first man replied calmly to the second, who was cackling boldly.
“However, that kid already refused an offer from the knights. This is going to be a hard bargain.”
“In that case, force them to accept. The Demon Tiger Claw Army will stop at nothing for the peace of this world…”
The two men’s bold laughter resounded all throughout the base…
Lastly, the third great organization was the Church of the Eyes of God. This organization adored and revered the god of this world, Rhark.
It was based in a temple established in Rhark’s giant tree in the center of Reinbark, the Temple of Divine Eyes.
Unlike the other two organizations, the Church did not directly bring peace, but rather prayed for peace and monitored the other two organizations.
Therefore, they didn’t interfere with affairs.
In this temple was the head priest, Cain Beig.
At that time, three priests were standing before him.
“What’s going on? It’s noisy.”
“There seems to have been a minor incident in Fielin Forest.”
“So I’ve heard. A low-leveled youth defeated a high-level wanted person.”
The third priest’s words startled the other two, and the head priest took an interest.
“Hm. What a fascinating story.”
“I also heard that the youth was classless.”
This information caused the two other priests to be even more surprised. The head priest also jumped up from his seat in shock.
“That’s…!”
But the head priest calmed down and sat on his throne.
“Priests. The truth is, some days ago, there was a collapse in the world’s boundary.”
“The boundary is…!?”
“Could he perhaps be from another world?”
“So that classless youth is someone from another world?”
The second priest’s words caused the head priest to shake his head.
“We can’t say for sure. Priests, I want you all to stay vigilant in your assigned areas.”
The three priests saluted the head priest.
At the very least, I set these three organizations into action.
Whether this was a blessing or a curse, I couldn’t tell…
