In the East Palace - Sleeping Hall

Murong Ci was sitting by the bed, and the Imperial doctor had come to bandage the wound on her left arm.

The wound wasn't that deep, but was a bit long and was bleeding a lot, leaving a red stain on her robe.

Ruyi stood aside, pained for her master, and worried to death.

The Imperial doctor finished bandaging and told Ruyi to send a maid to get the medicine for His Highness before leaving.

"Qin Ruo, how could you leave Your Highness alone?

Your Highness was almost assassinated and got injured.

Can you feel good about it?

Can you sleep at night?"

Ruyi scolded Qin Ruo.

Qin Ruo stood aside and lowered her head, without rebuttal, as if she was willing to be punished to death for her misbehavior.

Murong Ci couldn't bear the wishful scolding,

"Well, it was just an accident.

At that time, Qin Ruo had an abdominal pain.

It can't be helped!

Would it have been better if I let her hold back to the East Palace without going to the hut?

How could I let her hold it back?

There's nothing wrong with this Prince anyway, just a mere skin trauma.

Well, it will be fine in a few days."

"Your Royal Highness is the precious daughter of His Majesty, and a skin trauma is also a major matter!

The slightest injury of Your Highness is the failure of these servants in taking care of Her."

Ruyi made up the bed and placed a soft pillow.

"Your Royal Highness, please, have a good rest now.

You can't go out these few days."

She then faced Qin Ruo and said,

"Qin Ruo, remember you were just lucky this time that the assassin of Your Highness was a servant, and not someone with a high level of martial arts!

Or else god knows what the consequences would have been for Your Highness...and you'd be apologizing for the rest of your life to death."

"Master Ruyi's lecture is more than understandable and the younger one will learn from this lesson so as not to repeat her mistakes again."

Qin Ruo acted like a wronged and scolded daughter-in-law.

Murong Ci laughed out loud,

"Okay, don't say anything more."

Ruyi assisted His Royal Highness to lie down,

"Your Royal Highness lie down quickly.

I'll bring the medicine later."

Murong Ci looked at Qin Ruo sadly and troubled:

'I'm not a three-year-old child anymore, let alone, seriously injured, you know?'

"This Prince is hungry, Ruyi, please bring in some food."

"Yes, Your Highness."

Ruyi took the lead, Qin Ruo and Murong Ci smiled bitterly at each other.

After lunch, Qin Ruo and Ruyi accompanied her to interrogate the assassin.

There was no prison cell in the East Palace, so the assassin, Xiao Yin, was taken into a small room and guarded heavily by the soldiers.

In the dim room Xiao Yin was sitting on a chair, tightly tied with twine.

The door was pushed open, and a stream of sunlight came in.

He slowly raised his head to glance at the person that entered the room.

The person was standing against the light, and his face was covered in the bright sunlight from behind, surrounded by a faint golden glow.

Xiao Yin seemed to recognize who the person was, struggling violently, with his delicate eyebrows twisted, filled with monstrous hatred,

"I want to kill you! I want to kill you!"

The two guards immediately stepped forward and slapped him heavily until he got quieter.

Murong Ci waved to them to retreat.

Ruyi closed the door, and the room suddenly dimmed.

"Why did you try to assassinate this Prince?"

Murong Ci's body was like a white Jade in the dim shadow, with her white face as white as snow, like white porcelain, bright and moist.

"Because you deserve to die."

Xiao Yin lifted his chin slightly.

His facial features were twisted and deformed shockingly in the dim light,

"I want to send you in Hell."

"Speak up honestly!"

Qin Ruo shouted coldly.

"Who instructed you to assassinate this Prince?"

Murong Ci asked again, patiently.

"Hmph, take a guess."

He sneered with a trace of triumph in the corner of his eyes.

"This Prince guessed that the person who instructed you is related to the 'Blood Jade from Heaven' of the Fengtian Temple."

"H-How did you know?"

Xiao Yin opened his eyes wide in amazement, but it quickly became clear to him,

"Oh, I see...Seems like I underestimated you, it's my fault."

Murong Ci asked calmly,

"The Blood Jade from Heaven is your doing, right?"

He laughed grimly, triumphantly,

"So what?"

"Why did you do this? Who instructed you?"

"♫ When the moonlight shines down on the ground hall,

Blood Jade from Heaven will appear.

♩ When the moonlight shines down on the ground hall,

Rain will Fall from All Over the Sky.

♬ When the moonlight shines down on the ground hall,

Cannibal Fish will Feed on Humans.

♪ When the moonlight shines down on the ground hall,

Jade will Steal our Country."

Xiao Yin sung with affection, raising his head, as if looking at the gods.

"Your Royal Highness, why is he singing this Ballad?"

Qin Ruo asked in surprise.

"Did the Prince Regent instruct you?"

Murong Ci's eyes were cold.

"I did it all, hahaha...!!"

He laughed loudly, raised his head and laughed wildly again,

"♫ The Sky has changed...

♩ Heaven descends to the Wise...

♬ We die in Peace as God has saved Us...

♪ Dying for the Wise New Monarch is Our Glory..."
