C48 Part2

....

"Your Royal Highness, as for the Blood Rain, can you explain how things went?"

Murong Yu looked at her with interest.

"As for the Blood Rain of the Qingyuan Hall, Concubine An used dog blood, not human blood.

First Concubine An killed a few dogs in the city, took their blood, and smeared the dog blood on the yellow glazed tiles of the Qingyuan Hall in the middle of the night.

She applied it very evenly, as if painting the walls.

There was heavy rain that early morning, and the rain washed off the blood from the glazed tiles.

The dog blood on the tiles would fall with the rain, turning into a 'rain of blood'..."

Murong Ci walked in front of the desk, with an extraordinary looks and vigor,

"※This is like a woman applying a thick layer of makeup powder on her face.

If it is splashed with water, the makeup powder on her face will be washed off."

※※ (N.B.) Remember when Murong Ci asked for Murong Shi - Princess Duanrou's help a few chapters ago?

At that time she made her apply thick make-up on her face and splashes her with water afterwards.

This was to verify and confirm her theory to explain the Blood Rain trick.

"How did she predict that it would rain that day?"

Shen Zhiyan asked with a frown, surprised that His Royal Highness had already solved the mystery of the Blood Rain.

He admired His Highness' talent and ability to investigate and settle cases more and more.

"Even if she was agile at climbing to the roof of the Qingyuan Hall, it will inevitably cause movements."

Murong Yu raised his eyebrows slightly.

"The Qingyuan Hall is the Palace of the Emperor, guarded heavily by the soldiers in and outside, with cross guarding, so how could she move freely without being noticed by a soul?"

"This also should be asked directly to Concubine An."

Murong Ci looked at Concubine An Gui and raised her eyebrows confidently.

"Didn't Your Royal Highness crack all the layout?"

Concubine An asked sarcastically.

"Yes, the Qingyuan Hall is heavily guarded.

It is difficult to avoid the eyes and ears of those old guards.

Moreover, it takes a lot of time to apply the dog blood on the roof of the Hall."

Murong Ci squinted her eyes slightly, coldly staring at her,

"Concubine An was very clever, and of course she also had a helper, her maidservant, Liu Mei.

Before they went to the top of the Hall, Concubine An stunned all the guards with drugs.

Because she had high martial arts light skills, those guards always noticed only a dark shadow and never caught her.

On top of that, it's not difficult to know which day it would rain before early morning."

Master Gu Huai praised:

"Your Royal Highness has done a very good analysis.

This explains the connection with the Falling Rain of that Ballad and how she displayed the Blood Rain of the Qingyuan Hall.

Then how about the death of Sun Yumei in the Luo River, and the death of Xiaolu in the Xiaoyue Pond, that correspond to the Cannibal Fish in the Ballad.

Were they killed by her as well?"

Concubine An's face was cold and silent, like the ashes in the firepit, after the light was slowly extinguished.
