sorry for keeping you wait.

I took a two months break because of personal matters.

And many of you might already know this, but in case you don't, let me tell you that the Chinese manwha that was inspired by this novel ended at Chapter 184 with a cliffhanger.

Sadly, it seems that the project of the Manhua had been dropped. And I must say, personally, I'm not surprised at all.

The storyline and events in the latest chapters were all way too different and far from the original story of the novel, and way too many gaps and story holes were generated by these multiple changes. The biggest one is the character of the Emperor, who is a complete different person in the novel and is a loving father for Murong Ci.

I really couldn't stand anymore the manwha complete ignorance of the novel story and as soon as the manwha was stopped I had mixed feelings. (Quite peculiar that this is also the title of this chapter ahah)

I felt betrayed because I was looking forward to at least see the visuals of other characters upcoming in the following arcs (Western Qin Arc? Ancieny Jialan arc?) since the main reason for me to read the Manhua was because I loved the art style.

But considered the changes of the manwha, it grew in me the awareness that the plot was moving too far away from the original and that I couldn't find a possible way for it to have an ending similar to the novel, given the big changes in the story.

As thus, although I was sad for it being dropped, I also felt kind of a relief in it. This way I didn't have to feel disappointed anymore with all the absurd changes and the weird personality of some characters.

And I decided. I need a small break and refresh from these mixed feelings.

So this ended up resulting in a two months break.

After this, hopefully, I should be back on track with daily (when possible) release of new chapters. So hopefully you can all enjoy the real story and plot of this novel!
