The next day!

Zheng Xiaotian stretched lazily.

"Finally woke up naturally." Zheng Xiaotian got up. Looking around and then up, he felt something was off. He stood up and walked around the room, back and forth, back and forth. Finally, he walked to the front of the refrigerator and opened it with a snap. Inside, it was empty.

The robber probably didn't expect that with a gun in his hand, someone would still challenge him. How fearless could this person be?

The robber waved the gun in his hand and stabbed at Zheng Xiaotian. It was just to scare him and make him move.

Zheng Xiaotian's right hand skillfully dodged the gun and successfully hit the man's throat.

The man fell to the ground with a thud.

"When did I try to rob you?" Zheng Xiaotian pointed at the man on the ground still holding the dagger. "Wasn't he the one who tried to rob you?" "He's my bodyguard!" the woman said.

Zheng Xiaotian thought, why would a bodyguard wave a dagger around? It just made him look like a robber.

Actually, what happened was that the bodyguard had taken the knife from the robber. The robber then grabbed the handbag and ran. The robber had already run past Zheng Xiaotian when the woman shouted. Zheng Xiaotian heard her and mistook the bodyguard with the knife for the robber, and then...

"Social University, Enlightenment Department, that means you're taking a break from work for various reasons." The woman thought. Then she said to Zheng Xiaotian, "If I ask you to be my personal bodyguard, would you be interested?"

"Ah?" Zheng Xiaotian was shocked, his mouth wide open. He thought, he had beaten up her bodyguard, and she didn't even blame him. Now, this was a stroke of luck. It seemed that the two sarcastic comments he made to the bodyguard had been taken to heart.

"Three thousand a month, with food and accommodation provided. How about it?" The woman offered.

"Money is not an issue. It's my honor to be a bodyguard for a beautiful lady." Zheng Xiaotian smiled.

"My name is Lin Ziyuan." Lin Ziyuan extended her right hand to Zheng Xiaotian.

"Pleased to meet you, pleased to meet you. Zheng Xiaotian!" Zheng Xiaotian shook her hand and then let go. He thought, this hand is so smooth, well-maintained.

Zheng Xiaotian had landed a job.
