Chapter 3

On the floor, Cornelia's broken fan lay alone.

"Fall into hell!"

The school auditorium, the scene of the broken engagement, should have been filled with nearly 30 teachers, including the principal, and about 50 graduating students, but it was deathly silent, as if water had been poured over it.

The air seemed to be chilling.

Was it just an illusion that something black seemed to be coming out of Cornelia's broken fan on the floor...?

"Brother! Congratulations!"

The silence was broken by Elansio, the second prince, born to a concubine.

Unfortunately, I, the earl's daughter Miriam Honest, am his fiancée.

His dark green hair, twisted as if reflecting his personality, was loosely braided and tied back, and his blue eyes, similar to his highly ambitious and aggressive mother, were always smiling, but his cheek muscles never moved. My fiancé, Elansio, is a half-brother to Altevalt, differing by a few months, and is a different type of handsome.

Ignoring the tense atmosphere, he had somehow made his way to the stage and was shaking hands with Altevalt, a rare genuine smile on his face.

This is my chance to move.

After this graduation ceremony, I will go directly to the castle for the graduation party without returning to the townhouse.

I will meet my parents at the castle.

But the sudden cancellation of the engagement between the crown prince and Lady Cornelia.

Cornelia's father, Pianess Resharka, is the prime minister of the Solridia Kingdom and is effectively running the country in place of King Baladux, who is straightforward and true to his heart.

That's why the engagement between the crown prince and Lady Cornelia was so important, yet it was suddenly broken...

Before the graduation party, I need to inform everyone about the broken engagement and confirm the future direction of the Honest family, or I won't be able to move at the party.

Not just me, but all the female students stood up and curtsied.

"We wish the Crown Prince happiness!"

In unison, as if following the call (proposed by Poala, executed by Altevalt) that was supposed to be made at the graduation ceremony, we left the scene with quick, cheerful smiles.

The teachers and male students followed in a flurry, as if startled.

Left in the auditorium were the three people on the stage—Altevalt, full of happiness, Elansio, and Poala—and the countless broken fans scattered on the floor...

"Fall into hell!"

I was surprised!
