Chapter 55

Continuing the work, I finished the drying process for all the magic herbs and looked at the three of them. All three of their magic stones were almost blue, and they were close to completing the Wednesday stones.
"F, F, E... Adel's Wednesday stone is the only E rank. She may not have much experience, but she did graduate from the capital's magic school with decent grades. Erica and Leonora are both F rank, but Erica's quality is better. Erica is good at making things, and Leonora is good at making medicine, so that's probably the difference."
"I'll take the magic herbs to the warehouse."
Saying that, I returned to the branch and placed the dried herbs in the warehouse on the third floor. When I went back to the back of the branch, the three girls were resting at the table. On the table, there were three blue stones, and I could tell they had successfully created the Wednesday stones.
"Did you make them?"
I asked as I sat down at the table.
"Yes, the quality is bad, but we made them."
"I'm so tired..."
"The consumption of concentration and magic power is intense..."
The fatigue is probably due to the pressure of not wanting to fail. I'm tired too.
"From what I can see, I think it's a good first attempt. However, it's not good enough to be delivered, so you can use it in the bath water."
"Adel's looks good, but mine and Erica's are F rank..."
Hmm...
"Leonora, you should hurry up and get your appraiser's license."
If you can understand that much, you'll pass.
"Don't be unreasonable. I can barely manage 9th grade."
"When is the appraiser's license exam?"
"Next week. Anyway, the registration is already closed."
Well, that's no good.
I'll have you take the next exam.
"I'll manage that schedule too..."
"Master, you're like a private tutor."
"It's the same thing. Just do it."
"Okay... If I pass, I want you to take me to a restaurant in the capital."
That's far...
Why do we have to go all the way to the capital just to eat...
"If you pass..."
I'll put in a fake business trip and go...
"Mr. Sieg, what should we do today? It's only 4 PM..."
It's a bit awkward.
"Let's finish early today."
"Okay."
When Erica responded, Helen, who had been lying on the table, got up, jumped, and landed on my shoulder.
"...Mr. Sieg, Erica looks tired. I think it would be good to have dinner out. Let's celebrate the growth of your disciples."
Indeed, Erica looks tired.
I feel bad asking her to cook.
"Erica, how about we go out for dinner today? You guys successfully enchanted for the first time, so I'll treat you."
"Really? Is that okay?"
Erica looked a bit surprised.
"Helen said I should act like a master."
"You don't have to say that..."
But you knew that when you came to my ear, right?
"Um..."
Erica looked at Leonora and Adel hesitantly.
"Since Sieg is offering to celebrate, let's go."
"Yes, since we're being invited, let's accept the offer."
The two of them probably know that Helen whispered to Erica to be considerate.
"Then, I'll treat you."
"Sure. But we can't go during working hours, so let's meet in an hour."
"Okay! Thank you!"
We decided to disband for a moment and returned to the branch, then went to our respective rooms. An hour later, we met again and went to our usual restaurant, ordered food and drinks, and enjoyed dinner.
"This town has a lot of seafood, which is nice. The capital does too, but my hometown is in the mountains, so we rarely got to eat it."
Adel's hometown is in the mountains.
"Right. This town is really a great place."
"I'm glad you think so, as a native of this town."
"I hope we can all have fun together."
Four people?
1, 2, 3...
"Helen, Helen. Am I included too?"
"Yes. If Leonora said three people, it would be a shock, wouldn't it?"
Indeed...
Even if it's just a social nicety, Leonora wouldn't say something to hurt someone.
"Leonora, let me pour you some wine."
I poured wine into an empty glass.
"Thanks!"
Leonora thanked me and drank the wine in one go.
"Don't drink too much."
"Hmm... Adel, you're drinking whiskey, not wine."
"The whiskey you let me try at your place was delicious. But the one mixed with water was a bit off. Maybe the carbonated water was better?"
Highball...
"Carbonated water? What's that?"
"The fizzy water Mr. Sieg made. It was kind of addictive."
"Wow... Sieg, you really make all sorts of things. I want to try it too."
Adel and Leonora probably prefer wine and champagne, but I don't know how to make them.
"Maybe next time. We have work tomorrow, and you'll get a hangover again."
"That's true. Are we making Wednesday stones outside again tomorrow?"
I think it's fine now, but just to be safe, it's better to do it outside.
"Sure. But in the afternoon, we have to go to the government office. You know, that thing."
"Oh, right. What should we do? Should I talk?"
I want to leave it to the noble Leonora...
"No, Leonora hasn't handled such requests before. I'll talk. If the atmosphere gets tense, please mediate."
"Got it. Leave it to me."
It's reassuring to have these three with me in situations like this.
"Erica and Adel, please make the Wednesday stones."
"Understood."
"Yes."
We continued to eat and drink and disbanded before it got too late.
