The adventurers who surrounded us brandished their weapons and threatened us.

"Even if they're just kids, they're SSS-ranked monsters! They should be killed immediately!!"

"Unforgivable, huh? Is there a law that says SSS-ranked monsters must be killed as soon as they're found?"

The man who had been shouting turned red with anger, not expecting such a counterargument.

"Shut up! Don't nitpick like that!"

It was clear that continuing this conversation would get us nowhere.

"I understand what you're saying. I'll talk to the guild directly—"

"No way. We're taking care of this Fenrir right here. Besides, Fenrir's materials can be sold for a premium price. I'll let you in on the split if you understand. Now, move aside."

If that was their goal, it made sense why they were so belligerent.

Looking around at the men surrounding us, their faces were more menacing compared to the other adventurers who were just watching.

A chill ran through me.

I could feel my mind objectively judging them as enemies.

There was no need to show mercy to those who would harm a monster for their own gain.

The man in front pulled out a gun from his waist and aimed it at Fen.

I stood in front of Fen, not taking my eyes off the man.

"I'll handle this. To prove that Fen isn't a dangerous monster, it's better if Fen doesn't attack."

"Understood... I don't want to cause you trouble. I'll refrain from biting them to death."

"Hey, Fen. That's a scary joke."

"Hey, what are you mumbling about! If you don't move, I can't guarantee your life!"

"That's a relief. Thanks to your statement, I can claim self-defense."

"This brat... Acting all cool just because he has Fenrir!"

The man in front raised his gun.

--Master, it seems we're about to fight.

Yetti seemed to sense the impending battle and woke up.

"Good morning, Yetti. I'll need your help again this time."

Because Fen is behind me, I can't choose to avoid the fight.

I need to decide which ability to use while defending.

I made a quick decision and activated ice magic as a shield.

The bullet fired by the man embedded itself in the ice shield and stopped moving.

"Damn...! You're a shield magic user. Guns don't seem to work well against you!"

"Then how about this!!"

The adventurers who were in sync with the gunman drew their swords and attacked me all at once.

Dealing with each one individually would be troublesome.

"Wind magic, activate."

The adventurers, who thought I could only use shield magic, froze in shock.

Immediately after, they were swallowed by the tornado I unleashed.

The adventurers spun around in the tornado.

When I dispelled the tornado, they fell to the floor one by one.

The adventurers were piled up like a mountain, unconscious.

Without hesitation, I activated ice magic again and dropped an ice cage over them.

Trapped in this, the adventurers won't be able to interfere while I talk to the guild.

"Who... who are you...!?"

As I approached, they opened their eyes wide in fear and huddled together, trembling.

"Ah... please don't finish us off...!!"

"If you behave, I won't hurt you any further."

The adventurers in the ice cage swallowed hard.

While the adventurers were tense, a relaxed yawn could be heard.

--My, my, Master's abilities are so high that it was like twisting a baby's arm.

With the feeling that Yetti was about to fall asleep, the battle ended.
