It had been a week since Reda welcomed Mina and Luna into his family.
His work as a healer was going smoothly.
It was a relief that Mina and Luna were helping out without complaint.
Over the week, Reda had also investigated Mina's "blessing."
It seemed to enhance abilities, but there was no explosive change.
According to Luna, "Mina's blessing is only meaningful if you already have the power, right? So, it means Dad was already an amazing healer, doesn't it? Is there a problem with that?"
Indeed, Reda felt his recovery abilities had improved, but that was only because he already had the necessary skills as a healer.
Moreover, the enhancement wasn't constant.
Mina wasn't consciously giving the blessing, and it was ultimately something given by a human.
So, it was best to think of it as just feeling "a bit better than usual."
Mina smiled, saying, "I'm happy if I can be of help to Dad," and Luna casually added, "It's lucky for both Dad and the patients, isn't it?"
Seeing their attitudes, Reda tried not to think too deeply about it.
There were changes in his work as a healer as well.
He was planning to set up a clinic in consultation with the guild soon.
He was pleased that his daughters were eager to help.
Around the same time, the Black Dragon's assessment from the capital was due to arrive, and the elves would receive funds for reconstruction, which was a relief.
The Klaus family had already come to Amrus, and Reda, acting as an intermediary, had introduced them to the guild.
He was also scheduled to meet the lord, and things were going smoothly.
On the surface, Reda seemed to be doing well, but he had his own worries.
"Ha... What should I do?"
After finishing his work, he was alone in his room, reading a magic book related to recovery spells, and sighed.
The reason for his worry was the girls he had welcomed into his family.
Mina and Luna were both good girls.
Their relationship as sisters was good, and of course, they got along well with Reda too.
Mina called him "Dad" and had become more affectionate compared to before.
He didn't feel like he was a good father yet, but he believed they were helping each other as a family.
Thanks to her older sister Luna and his friend Maylin, Mina was becoming brighter every day, which was enjoyable to see.
She showed a different side of herself every day, full of discoveries.
She also seemed eager to be filial and had started helping with meal preparation.
The innkeeper Riggs, moved by the earnestness of Mina, his daughter's friend, taught her the basics of cooking with a smile on his rugged face.
The problem was Luna.
She had said she wanted to be his wife, not his daughter, but Reda initially thought it was a joke.
However, over the past week, he had been made painfully aware that she was serious.
First, she was very physical.
Even the usually reserved Mina had become more physical, but Luna took it to the next level.
She would hug him at every opportunity, link her arm with his, and constantly cling to him.
When he was in the bath, she would come in, saying, "I'll wash your back," and if he hesitated, she would play the daughter card, saying, "Are you rejecting your cute daughter?"
At night, they all slept together, but Luna always pressed her body against him.
Despite her small frame, she would wrap her long limbs around him tightly.
She would breathe sweetly in his ear and nibble on his ear playfully.
Mina also slept with them and sometimes joined them in the bath, but she was very normal.
They spent time together that felt very much like a father and daughter.
However, after hearing from Luna that Mina was twelve, he was considering that they should stop bathing together soon.
All of this had left Reda exhausted by Luna's advances.
It was flattering to be liked by a girl as beautiful as Luna, but being tempted by a girl half his age was problematic.
When he had casually consulted his adventurer friend Tex about it, he was laughed at.
He vowed never to seek advice from him again.
According to Tex, it was his lack of immunity to women that was the problem.
Reda was thirty.
He was at an age where it was reasonable to have relationships with women.
While he had a girlfriend in the capital, it ended with her just taking his money.
Otherwise, he had no experience, and his history of not having a girlfriend matched his age.
"Guess I have no choice but to go to a brothel?"
There were such establishments in Amrus.
Reda had no prejudice against prostitutes, but if it were known that he visited a brothel while having daughters, he couldn't imagine what they would say.
While he couldn't say he had no interest, he had firmly declined.
As he continued to look at the magic book, he heard footsteps approaching.
The light steps belonged to Mina and Luna.
Luna, in particular, was skilled in combat, and sometimes her steps were so light he couldn't hear them if he wasn't paying attention.
"Dad!"
"Hey, Dad!"
Surprised, Reda sat up as the two burst into the room, out of breath.
"What's wrong?"
"There's a customer!"
"A customer?"
"Actually, it's a girl customer."
"Who is she?"
"Ah, I forgot to ask her name. But, Dad! With such a cute daughter and wife, if you even think about touching other women... I'll get serious."
"Serious about what!?"
"Hehehe, that's a surprise for when it happens."
Sweat trickled down his back at Luna's ominous words, but if there was a customer, he couldn't keep them waiting.
Thinking this, he took their hands and left the room.
And there, waiting for Reda, was
"Long time no see, Reda!"
—It was a former party member.
