Yonel Bavaria elaborated.

“My son… I’m not quite sure, but Bavaria traditionally has a hunting tournament every year, and that’s going to be happening in a few days.”

“Until last year, we didn’t have this tournament, but……. Now we have to continue this tradition. For my son and daughter’s sake.”

Yonel’s explanation struck a chord in Arthur.

‘Wow… perhaps my mother has changed more than I did?’

He’d known she’d changed, but to see her so actively involved in family affairs was, quite frankly, surprising.

Wasn’t she the same mother who always put the responsibility on her own shoulders?

From Arthur’s perspective, there was no reason for him to turn down the idea.

After all, he had to adapt to his 15-year-old body.

So moderate exercise was a welcomed

And so it was time for him to start the shooting practice with Yonel.

Finally, the appointed day arrived, and Arthur and Yonel were headed to the backyard with the other Bavarian vassals.

The spacious backyard had been prepared in advance, with signs and several guns lined up.

After staring at them, Arthur shifted his gaze.

A rugged-looking man stood before him, his mouth twisted into a crooked grin.

“Your Excellency, the Duke, you need to lower your stance.”

Kedilac Rhynan.

A Bavarian knight, and one of the traitors Sebastian had told him about.

“While using a gun you have to shoot with a proper stance in order to get a good shot. And right now the Duke’s posture is all wrong”

Arthur stroked his chin as he watched.

‘Hmm… a traitor as a teacher.’

If I didn’t know any better, I’d think he was an outstanding knight.

His portrayal of a noble knight and his guidance of Yonel was so sincere that there was no loyal follower like him.

The way he played the role of the upstanding knight, and the way he instructed Yonel, gave one the impression of his loyalty.

‘So tricky… I’d have nipped him in the bud if he did something bad.’

In fact, it wasn’t just Kedilak, it was the same for all the traitors.

They were deceiving the people of this house by pretending to be loyal to Bavaria.

‘I have to get rid of them, but it’s not that easy.’

He knew they were traitors, but he had no proof.

Even if there was evidence, he didn’t have the power to expel them at his current state.

Troubled by this, Arthur cleared his throat and muttered.

‘Now that I’m healed, why don’t I just assassinate them?’

After some serious consideration, Arthur shook his head.

The Kedilac standing in front of him was a fifth-circle knight.

He didn’t even have a circle, so he was no match for him.

So Arthur decided to sit tight and watch the situation unfold for the next few days.

Time passed and it was a weekend morning.

Arthur’s eyes widened in surprise as he walked into a restaurant to eat with his family.

“…?”

It was because there was someone else sitting in the restaurant besides Irene and Yonel.

And the face was very familiar.

Arthur scratched his head and muttered to himself.

‘ What’s the Sword Master doing here?’

* * *

An elderly man who was occupying a seat in a restaurant reserved for members of the Bavarian family opened his mouth.

“Oho…. You’ve changed a lot since I last saw you. Are you really Arthur Bavaria?”

Yonel, who is sitting next to him, giggles.

” Heaven helped us, he’s looking better and better by the day.”

“…I see, Your Excellency, I am very glad to see you have one less problem to worry about.”

The old gentleman turns his gaze back to Arthur.

Arthur ignored that intense stare and returned to his seat.

Then he remembered.

‘Marquis of Holan Leverkusen. Commander-in-Chief and Swordmaster in charge of the northern part of the Empire…. Why did he come to see me?’

In the future. There are a total of seven Swordmasters in the Empire.

One of them is Marquis Holan Leverkusen.

A shield and sword that protects the empire from the brutal barbarians beyond the northern snowfields, he was an active soldier even though he was over fifty years old.

So Arthur could only ponder.

Why would such a man be here at Bavarian Street so early in the morning?

Arthur picked up his cutlery with this question in mind.

Yonel spoke.

Irene, Arthur. say your greeting The Marquis of Leverkusen, Holland, is someone who has maintained a close relationship with the Duke of Bavaria for a long time.”

Arthur’s eyes widened.

This was the first time that Arthur, who knew the information about the future, had heard of it.

Meanwhile, the elderly gentleman flaunts his stylish mustache.

Marquis Holan Leverkusen spoke .

“Technically, I’m more closely related to your father, who is now passed away. From your point of view…. Yes. I suppose you could say I’m your godfather.”

A subtle remark that seems like crossing the line, but doesn’t actually cross it.

As a result, Yonel wore an ambiguous smile on her lips.

But she didn’t react any more than that, trying to lighten up the atmosphere.

Fortunately, Holan Leverkusen didn’t break the mood and chatted happily with Yonelle.

Irene as if not showed any interest in the conversation snuggled up to Arthur while whining

Still keeping his eyes on Holan, Arthur soothed Irene.

“…In any case, thank you, Lord Holland. For paying us a personal visit for our duke’s hunting tournament.”

“If the Duke has resolved to do so, what would be the difficulty in taking the step, even if I could not be helpful?”

“No, it’s not that. It’s just that… I think I understand now what you mean by taking a step.”

Instead of responding to Yonel’s words, Holland sipped his tea.

Yonelle clapped her hands together at the sight.

“Well then, how about going out to the backyard and having another cup of tea? We could send the children inside and engage in some light conversation.”

At Yonel’s suggestion, Holland stroked his beard, then glanced back at Arthur.

He pondered for a moment, then asked.

“But first, may I speak with this boy , Arthur, for a moment?”

“…With Arthur?”

“He’s the son of a friend I haven’t seen in a while, and I’d like to see how he’s doing.”

Yonel smiled.

“That’s a good thing. Then, please stay with my son in the dining hall for a while. I will bring light refreshments and tea.”

Yonelle gets up from her seat and leads Irene out of the dining room.

At her gesture, the waiting cooks also left the hall.

Arthur, who was now alone with Holan, greeted him.

“Good evening, Your Excellency Holan Leverkusen!”

Holan’s gaze narrowed.

“Your Excellency? You’re quite the actor.”

“…?”

“Don’t try to fool me. I can already tell.”

Hola Leverkusen.

The moulded eyes of the knight known as the Sword Master scanned Arthur.

“The poison in your body is all gone, and you no longer stutter.”

Silence descends with his answer.

In the midst of it, Arthur’s eyes narrow.

“….”

It was in that subtle atmosphere that Holland opened his mouth to speak once again.

The corners of his mouth raised, Arthur was the first one to break the silence.

“What? How did you know that I was acting?”

TL-“I take back what I said before . Starting from this week, I’ll upload a few complete chapters (2 or 3) each week. Otherwise, you may end up seeing ten parts of a single chapter that haven’t even been properly edited . I haven’t made a proper schedule yet, so I’ll upload them randomly.”
