Night.
After closing the shop, I was in the mansion's dining room.
I and Ririshia sat side by side, with Tetti and Sophisia facing us.
Tetti was cutting into the bread, stuffing it with salad and meat, and then taking big bites.
“Mmm, it’s delicious!”
“You really like eating it this way, huh?”
“With this, I can eat with one hand, and if I’m chased, I can take it and run, right?”
“Not the best reason, I guess.”
Tetti puffed out her cheeks, looking a bit sulky.
“What’s that supposed to mean? It’s a practical tip, you know!”
“I know, I get it. But don’t do anything bad, okay?”
“I won’t. I have Lord Alec now, after all.”
Tetti smiled and took another bite of her stuffed bread.
I chuckled and bit into the meat.
“Good work today… How did the shop and the herbs go?”
“Pretty well! About 300,000 goats! And I met my quota for the herbs all by myself!”
“That’s impressive. Thanks, Tetti.”
“Thanks for gathering the herbs, Tetti. I appreciate it.”
Ririshia and I praised her sincerely.
But just a light compliment made Tetti’s face turn red, and she looked away, fidgeting.
“Y-Yeah… I’ll try harder. Thanks.”
Ririshia and I exchanged glances, tilting our heads in confusion.
I decided to make a guess.
“Maybe you’re not used to being praised?”
“N-No… but… when I try hard, I get praised… and it’s the first time I’ve been praised when I wanted to be… so… ugh…”
Her long ears, which had turned red, twitched as she looked down. But her small mouth continued to munch on the stuffed bread.
Ririshia looked at Tetti with a warm, big smile.
“Right… I’ll praise you more from now on.”
“Thanks… I’ll try harder to be more useful!”
Tetti looked up, her emerald eyes glistening like jewels.
I thought to myself.
—She must not have been praised for her efforts for a long time.
I live for myself, but I want to be grateful to those who help me.
“Then, keep it up. Next, I need you to use spirit magic.”
“Okay, I understand. Even though I’m not good at it, I’ll try to get better.”
Tetti nodded seriously.
—I thought, she’s become such a well-behaved and cute girl.
Ririshia turned her attention to Sophisia, who was eating bread elegantly.
“Sophisia, you’ve been helping with the shop. Should we pay you a wage?”
“Huh, me? I’m fine, really. I get to use the bath, and I can read and study as much as I want, and I get meals… So it’s okay.”
Sophisia tilted her head, looking troubled. Her shoulder-length blue hair moved smoothly.
I nodded in agreement.
“Yeah, that’s true. How about this: basic service is free, but if you use magic or combat skills, you get one gold coin per day as a special reward. What do you think?”
“That sounds good. I can stay without feeling guilty.”
“Alright, let’s do that.”
I nodded while eating.
Honestly, as one of the top sacred magic users in the country, it was a very cheap rate.
She nodded back with a smile. Her short blue hair bounced lightly.
I suddenly noticed her hair was shorter.
“Hey, did you cut your hair, Sophisia? It used to be much longer.”
“Yes, you noticed? I take baths multiple times a day, and long hair was a hassle, so I cut it.”
Sophisia lifted her short hair with her hand. The way her hair spread emphasized her slender neck, making her look more attractive.
I nodded while eating bread.
“Yeah, it looks fresh and cute. I think it suits you.”
“Really? Ah, thank you!”
Sophisia smiled, her eyes narrowing in genuine happiness.
Ririshia glanced at me and Sophisia but said nothing.
Then, Tetti, seeing Sophisia’s happiness, asked curiously.
“Hey, hey, is that bath really that good?”
“Yes, it’s amazing… It feels like healing seeps into your body from the inside, and it purifies you.”
“Wow, that’s why you take it so often. —Can I try it too?”
“‘No!’”
Ririshia and Sophisia said in unison.
Tetti puffed out her cheeks.
“Why not? It’s unfair that only you two can use it!”
“That’s because…”
“That bath is for adults!”
“Right, that’s it! As Sophisia said, it’s dangerous for children!”
“I’m not a child anymore!”
She moved her slender hand, pushing her hair back in a grown-up gesture. Her golden hair spread out, giving off a hint of youthful charm.
However, Sophisia patted Tetti’s chest from the side.
“You’re still small… When you grow up, you’ll be different.”
“I don’t have much chest, but I have a lot of courage!”
While listening to their argument, I was thinking about something else.
—Right, a children’s version of the bath would be good. Offer it at half the price for adults.
But how much does the adult version cost?
I decided to ask everyone.
“If we charge for that bath, how much do you think would be reasonable? —By the way, Tetti, you used it on the first night, remember? The one that completely healed your injury.”
“Aah! That bath! The one with a bit of thickness. I thought it was a more sensual bath because Sophisia always comes out with a melting smile!”
“It’s not sensual! It just feels so good that I get a bit of a heavenly feeling!"
Sophisia’s cheeks flushed as she argued desperately. Her blue hair shook wildly.
I felt her argument was a bit off, but I didn’t push it.
Since the conversation had veered off, I asked again.
“So, how much do you think it should cost?”
“I thought I’d never be able to walk without a hood, but if it can fix that, 1,000,000 goats might be worth it.”
“Eh! That’s too much! I want to use it more casually. Maybe 2,000 goats per week? Or 10,000 goats per use!”
Tetti and Sophisia’s opinions were at odds again.
I frowned while drinking soup.
“I understand both sides. You use it differently… Indeed, it has amazing effects, but if it’s too cheap or too expensive, or if everyone can use it, various problems might arise.”
“In that case, a high-end, members-only bathhouse… It might end up with a seedy atmosphere.”
A bath that can make you feel heavenly.
People would definitely assume it comes with excessive services from beautiful women or men.
Ririshia covered her mouth and chuckled.
“Master, you’re rushing things. The shop is still in its early stages. —Why not take things more slowly and carefully?”
“You’re right. If we rush without a solid foundation, we might stumble and fall. First, let’s focus on the children’s version… Anyway, I’ll need everyone’s input moving forward.”
“Yes!” “Okay!” “I’m always available if you need me.”
Satisfied with their bright, cheerful responses, the warm family dinner continued.
Since it exceeded 5,500 characters, I’ll split it into two parts.
I’ll update it in the afternoon or evening to get it out sooner.
