"Move again, and I'll shoot!"

By the time his fat police partner realized what was happening, Su Yang had already returned to his original position, smiling as if nothing had happened.

"Don't point that piece of iron at me, or you won't have any teeth left!"

Su Yang coldly threw out a sentence in English, which actually scared the other party into lowering his gun and involuntarily stepping back two steps.

"Hey, headquarters, I need backup."

At this moment, the fat police officer, who had been beaten into a toothless state by Su Yang, had already fainted. The other police officer stared at Su Yang in fear, neither daring to raise his gun nor to run away, and could only seek help through the walkie-talkie.

"There's no need to keep staring. I'm not going anywhere. I'll stay and play with you today." Su Yang showed no intention of leaving.

A few minutes later, three police cars arrived with sirens wailing. More than ten fully armed police officers got out of the cars and quickly surrounded Su Yang.

"Raise your hands, put your head down, and kneel. This is not a request but an order. Otherwise, you will bear all the consequences."

How could Su Yang listen to this? He stood firmly and said disdainfully, "Have the highest-ranking officer come and talk to me."

From the back of the包围圈, a middle-aged bearded police officer walked out: "I am Detective Richard. You are now surrounded. Early surrender is your only choice."

"Is it just a small detective?" Su Yang frowned. "Have your chief come and talk to me. Otherwise, you will bear all the consequences."

This was a blatant provocation! This was the unanimous thought of the police officers present.

But as the most senior detective in the department, Richard noticed something amiss in Su Yang's fluent London accent and calm demeanor.

The young Oriental in front of him, unless he was crazy, must have some backing to be so fearless.

"State your identity," Richard hesitated for a moment and then said, still aiming for stability.

"Detective, he just knocked out all of Hans' teeth, severely injuring him and assaulting a police officer. This is a serious crime!" The fat police officer's partner said in confusion.

"Charlie, shut up. Don't think I didn't see those three guys over there gloating. I won't interfere with what you did, but that doesn't mean I approve." Richard pointed to the nearby pickpockets and glared at Charlie, who immediately shut up.

Collusion between pickpocket organizations and the police was not uncommon in London. Richard, being a shrewd person, could see through it, which made him even more cautious. After all, someone who could beat up three pickpockets and a gun-wielding Hans to the point of losing all his teeth and still act nonchalant deserved careful handling.

"Stay put."

After giving the order, Richard looked deeply at Su Yang and said, "Regardless of how this incident started, the fact of the injury exists. Please cooperate. If you think the current officers are not qualified to handle this and need the chief to personally intervene, please state your identity."

"Finally, someone with some discernment." Su Yang chuckled. At some point, he had a pure gold medal with dazzling diamonds in his hand.

Su Yang directly threw the medal to Richard and said, "If you recognize this medal, you should understand that even your chief has no right to interfere in my affairs. Perhaps his superior's superior, the Home Secretary, might be qualified."

Richard caught the medal in a somewhat awkward manner and couldn't make out what it was until his eyes fell on the inscription at the bottom of the medal: "Duke Su Yang, Eternal Royal Friend."

What shocked Richard the most was the signature at the end of the inscription, which was none other than the most powerful woman in Britain today—Elizabeth.

He rubbed his eyes hard to confirm he wasn't seeing things, then took a deep breath and cautiously called the chief.

"Are you sure you didn't see it wrong? A royal duke?"

The London Police Chief Emerson sounded somewhat angry on the phone: "And an Oriental? Richard, today is not some annoying April Fool's Day."

"Chief, the medal is made of pure gold, exquisitely crafted, and signed by the Queen. I really can't make a judgment."

"This Oriental is very calm, has a transcendent aura, and is not an ordinary person. If it's all fake, it's no big deal; we can charge him with impersonating a royal noble. But if it's real, I can't bear the responsibility, even you, Chief, might—"

Emerson was well aware of Richard's keen eye. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been preparing to promote him to the position of police commissioner. After a moment's thought, Emerson said, "Stabilize the situation. I'll be there soon."

Su Yang wasn't in a hurry. His hereditary dukedom was real and verifiable, and he had the right on his side. The whole situation was quite amusing.

Not long after, the bald Chief Emerson arrived at the scene and immediately focused his gaze on Su Yang.

Before he could speak, Su Yang smiled faintly and said, "Are you the police chief? Good. This will probably be the last time people will call you by that title, because under your watch, there has been collusion between the police and criminals, and an attempt to assassinate a royal noble."

Emerson was first surprised by Su Yang's fluent London accent, then stunned by his words. He quickly took the gold medal from Richard.

"Mr. Su Yang? I don't know what happened before, but if everything is as you say, I will handle it seriously." Unconsciously, influenced by Su Yang's imposing presence, Emerson used a respectful tone.

"Oh, you don't know?"

Su Yang's gaze swept over the trembling Charlie and pointed to the three pickpockets nearby, who were about to flee. He said sternly, "Those three are the criminals who intended to steal from and assault me. Are you going to let them get away?"

"Arrest those three." Emerson gave a stern order with a glance.

The dozen or so police officers immediately broke the包围 of Su Yang and roughly arrested the three pickpockets who were trying to escape.

Then, Emerson stepped forward and said, "Mr. Su, is this medal yours?"

"Of course." Su Yang, seeing that Emerson was quite adept at handling the situation, didn't want to make things difficult. He said calmly, "Do you need me to call the Queen to personally vouch for me?"

"Her Majesty!" A large bead of sweat rolled down Emerson's forehead. He hesitated and said, "That's not necessary, but since you did assault someone, including a police officer, I must verify your identity."

Originally, with Emerson's status, he wouldn't have believed that a young Oriental could be a royal duke, but in his conversation with Su Yang, the latter's noble demeanor and arrogant attitude were constantly changing his perception.

"You're a good person, and I don't want to make things difficult for you." Su Yang smiled. "Here is the document proving my royal dukedom. Take a look."

Stiffly taking the document from Su Yang, Emerson read it carefully. Although it was just a piece of paper, the red seal of the Queen was unmistakable, especially the personal signature of Elizabeth, which stung Emerson's eyes.

Richard also came over to examine it for a moment and said in a low voice, "Chief, this seems to be real. The gilded patterns on the document are definitely the exclusive craftsmanship of royal artisans, and few can imitate them."

"The Queen's signature is also genuine."

As the top figure in the London Police Department, Emerson often attended noble gatherings and was very familiar with the Queen's signature.

"Only, the year of the award is too long ago!"

Emerson and Richard both looked at the date at the end of the document. The dukedom had been awarded over sixty years ago. Most striking was the "hereditary" inscription.

This meant that the royal dukedom was essentially permanent and perpetual, and there were no more than five such dukedoms in the British royal aristocracy.

"I think we should consult the Home Secretary." Emerson's attitude became even more humble. He returned the document to Su Yang and whispered to Richard.

At this moment, Su Yang said, "Do you know where Diana lives? I need to find her."

Hearing "Diana," Emerson couldn't help but shudder. As a member of the upper class, almost everyone knew Princess Diana, the Queen's most beloved adopted daughter and a prominent figure in the aristocracy, with immense influence in Britain, even the Prime Minister had to give her respect.

"Mr. Su, do you know Princess Diana?"

"I know her mother well," Su Yang said truthfully.

But Emerson interpreted it as the Queen. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and said, "Princess Diana currently lives in the royal estate outside London. If you don't mind, I can drive you there?"

Although he believed most of what Su Yang said, everything was too fantastical, and Emerson planned to use this as the final verification.

"That would be best. Since you know how to handle things, I won't hold today's incident against you. Let's go."

Su Yang shrugged. "By the way, those guys must be severely punished, especially the two corrupt police officers. If you cover for them, I have a small heart and will hold you accountable."

Seeing Su Yang agree without hesitation, Emerson hurriedly opened the car door himself and said respectfully, "Rest assured, these corrupt elements within our police force will receive the harshest legal punishment."

As he said this, the fat police officer Hans, who had fainted from the beating, woke up and was immediately frightened into fainting again by the stern gaze of the chief.
