"Impossible." Lu Junzhuo roared.

Lu Junzhuo was the vice president of the Red Eagle. You Jia's son coming in and ranking below him was something he definitely did not like. Therefore, making him a vice president was a reluctant decision. Moreover, before coming, he and Su Shan had already discussed it, and they agreed that a vice president position was inevitable.

He could accept the first request.

However, when he heard the second request, which was for Su Shan to be his woman, this was something he would never agree to.

The short boy laughed and pointed at Su Shan, asking, "Do you like her?"

Lu Junzhuo coldly replied, "That's none of your business."

"Have you ever confessed to her?" the short boy continued to ask.

"That's also none of your business," Lu Junzhuo said.

"You are truly pitiful," the short boy said. "A distinguished young master of the Lu family, hiding his feelings for a woman. It's sad and lamentable. Why don't you confess? Why don't you directly tell her your feelings? Is it because she is too beautiful? Too excellent? A goddess in your heart? Or is it because you are too concerned about your own face, worried about losing face if rejected?"

"Whether I like her or not is my business. When to confess is also my freedom. You, You Mu, have nothing to do with it," Lu Junzhuo said with a sullen face. He was truly enraged.

"Since that's the case, why do you think you can speak for her when I ask her to be my woman? What? Do you think you can make decisions for her now?" the short boy asked sharply.

Lu Junzhuo also realized that his previous response was too hasty. He glanced at Su Shan and, seeing that she was not angry at his behavior, he rebutted, "I said no because you are too greedy."

"What a hypocritical guy," the short boy shook his head. He had an adult's face, but because of his short stature, his actions made him look like a little adult pretending to be cute. "You won't win her over this way. In front of her, you are indecisive, lack self-identity, and completely follow her will. She won't see you as a partner, only as a helper. When you no longer see her as a goddess but as a woman, then you might have a chance."

He paused and continued, "Of course, it's just a chance. Because by then, she will already be my woman."

"Daydreaming," Lu Junzhuo sneered.

"Do you know?" the short boy's eyes behind his glasses stared at Lu Junzhuo coldly. "I have two habits. First, I don't like others taking what's mine. Second, I like to take what others like."

He pointed at Su Shan and said, "If you like her, then she will definitely be mine."

Even though she had become the subject of discussion and a prize to be fought over by these two men, Su Shan did not feel particularly angry.

She knew what she wanted. What difference did their grandiose words make?

"I can agree to the first request now. I refuse the second," Su Shan said.

"Do you think I'm not good-looking?" the short man asked.

"Yes," Su Shan nodded. "You are not good-looking."

"Are you refusing me because of my appearance?" the short man asked again.

"No," Su Shan said. "Compared to many good-looking men, you are more charming."

The short man laughed and said, "Su Shan, Su Shan, you are truly interesting. I really like you."

"That's my honor," Su Shan said calmly. "I have already stated my conditions. Please consider them, Young Master You."

The short man shook his head and said, "If you don't agree to the second condition, the first one is meaningless to me. If I understand correctly, the Red Eagle is an economic organization you are dedicated to building, using economics to influence politics, or relying on political resources to achieve economic goals. I must say, you have done very well. Although the Red Eagle has few members, each one is an elite. Every member has great power that you can leverage. They also complement each other's resources. Su Shan, I really look forward to your impressive rise after graduation, using the Red Eagle as a springboard."

"But what does the Red Eagle mean to me? What does being a vice president of the Red Eagle mean to me?" the short man said arrogantly. "I have always been the one others seek. I have nothing to ask of anyone. Am I just a big piece of meat for them to share, or a stepping stone for you to leap and soar? I am not that selfless."

"As I said, if I wanted, I could join the White Eagle or Black Eagle, or even hatch a new little eagle. If I wanted, I could even pull all the current members of the Red Eagle over. Why do they join the Red Eagle? Isn't it because of the power of your Su family and the living billboard of Master Lu? If I can offer them more, would they still choose you?"

"Fair enough. I admit you are right," Su Shan said frankly. "That's why we want to bring you into the Red Eagle. We don't want to be opponents, only friends."

"But you seem to have refused my request for friendship," the short boy said pointedly.

"I want to use your strength, and I want to become as strong as a mountain," Su Shan said. "I have paid a lot for this. But it definitely does not include feelings."

"Truly regrettable," the short boy said. "To me, power is a sword and a warhorse, capable of defeating enemies, expanding territory, leaping a thousand miles, and soaring high. What I want, I can get. What I want to do, I can achieve. And women are like flowers in the pocket of a suit, medals at a coronation—decorations, embellishments, symbols, and additions. Compared to the brocade, I prefer the flowers."

"I understand," Su Shan nodded. "Then I won't disturb you."

With that, Su Shan nodded at him and walked out.

Lu Junzhuo glanced at the short man and followed Su Shan out of the library.

The short man watched their backs and laughed, saying, "Those who have a sword will always find a flower to decorate it. If they can't get it, they will destroy the whole tree."

Great teachers produce great students, and there is a reason for this.

Jiao Yuheng's method of linking real-life examples with psychological knowledge greatly benefited Tang Chong, deepening his love for psychology. He did not lecture on grand theories or psychological concepts. As he put it, those things were left for the course instructors to teach. He didn't need to repeat them. He only discussed examples, analyzing them in detail, step by step, like a skilled detective, exposing the inner workings of the mind.

Unconsciously, several hours passed.

Jiao Yuheng closed his notebook and said, "That's it for today. I've said enough. You need to digest it well. What I said is just my analysis. I hope you will try to analyze it yourself, using your own methods and ways of thinking."

He paused and added, "Tang Chong, why don't you come back to my place for dinner?"

Tang Chong quickly declined, saying, "Teacher, next time. Next time I'll visit your home and meet your wife."

He dared not follow Jiao Yuheng home, fearing the battle that might ensue. Who knew what crazy things Jiao Nanxin might do?

"Alright, then next time," Jiao Yuheng said. He also thought about the problem. If Tang Chong and Jiao Nanxin sat at the same table, they might end up fighting, and the old lady's blood pressure would rise again.

Tang Chong bid farewell to Jiao Yuheng and politely greeted Jiao Nanxin before walking out of the dean's office alone.

"How was it?" Jiao Yuheng asked his beloved granddaughter with a smile.

"How was what?" Jiao Nanxin asked.

"Tang Chong," Jiao Yuheng said.

"Not great," Jiao Nanxin pouted.

Jiao Yuheng shook his head and said, "Your strong comprehension is because you are my granddaughter. You have been influenced to some extent. Moreover, you have always liked psychology and have read many books on it under my recommendation. His comprehension is not slower than yours, and his analytical skills are even stronger. It's all due to his own insight, or rather, his ability to read people. I remember he said his father is a prison warden. If he grew up in such an environment, it makes sense."

"I don't think my analytical skills are weaker than his," Jiao Nanxin said competitively.

Jiao Yuheng smiled and said, "Let's go back for dinner. Otherwise, the old lady will call to urge us."

When Tang Chong came out of the office building, the sky had cleared, and only fine raindrops were floating in the air, barely noticeable and not wetting clothes. He walked through the rock garden, the lovers' path, and headed toward Mingli Lake.

He wasn't sure if he wanted to see the scenery of Mingli Lake after the rain or if he had other expectations.

Which young girl doesn't dream of love? Which young boy doesn't feel passion?

Just then, his phone rang.

Tang Chong took out his phone and saw Bai Su's name and number on the display.

He silently prayed that there wouldn't be another task.

He pressed the answer button and asked, "What's up?"

Bai Su hesitated for a moment but then said in her usual cheerful voice, "Tang Chong, someone wants to meet you."

"A suitor?" Tang Chong asked.

"No," Bai Su laughed.

"Then who?"

"It's—"

Before Bai Su could answer, Tang Chong interrupted, "Alright. I have some things to do. Talk to you later."

With that, he hung up the call.
