Chapter 66: The Pit is Too Small, the Face is Too Big!

A fluorescent light hung on the noodle truck, and Su Shan was facing it, her cheeks flawless and her expression calm.
When she stared at something for a long time, her long eyelashes would gently flutter.
Indeed, Tang Zhong was sitting opposite her, clearly able to see the movement of her eyelashes as she blinked.
So beautiful, yet so alluring.
"Since you know so much about me, you must also know that after eating the noodles, I still need to buy a cup of Old Zhang's apple juice to take back to the dormitory," Su Shan said.
"Let's do it tomorrow," Tang Zhong suggested with a smile. "I'll treat you again tomorrow."
"Our relationship isn't good enough for me to follow your suggestions," Su Shan refused. She picked up her ball bag, pushed back her chair, and stood up.
When the boys who had run over to surround Tang Zhong saw Su Shan, they all stood there like wooden statues.
"Move aside," she said to a boy blocking her way. Her voice was calm but carried an unchallengeable force.
The boy quickly moved aside, avoiding the beauty as if she were a fierce beast.
Then one, two, three, four, five...
As Su Shan walked past, everyone naturally made way for her.
Whether they were tall and strong, short and agile, long-haired handsome men, or bald and bespectacled, everyone automatically moved aside, without any obstruction.
"Pay the bill," Su Shan said as she walked, addressing Tang Zhong, who was still sitting there.
Tang Zhong took out fifteen yuan and placed it on the table. The noodles cost five yuan per bowl, and they had eaten two bowls, with another one ordered.
Although the third bowl had not yet been served, Tang Zhong still paid for it. He was a reasonable person.
"Let's go," Su Shan said.
Tang Zhong didn't move.
Some things ultimately needed to be resolved.
Su Shan glanced back at Tang Zhong, not forcing the issue, and then walked straight to a nearby shop to buy some juice, carrying her ball bag.
With Su Shan gone, Tang Zhong had less to worry about.
He looked up at a boy standing in front of him and asked with a smile, "Where's Qiao Lei?"
"We don't know any Qiao Lei or Zhang Lei," the boy pointed at Tang Zhong. "Kid, you stole my girl, and I finally caught you. If you don't give me an explanation, I'll give you one."
"Why choose such a poor excuse, especially one that makes you wear a green hat?" Tang Zhong said with a helpless smile. "Are you going to fight?"
"Brothers, attack!" the tallest and strongest boy shouted.
Unfortunately, before his brothers could react, Tang Zhong had already made his move. He grabbed the chair Su Shan had been sitting on and smashed it hard into the guy's head.
The guy was also tough, extending his arm to block.
Bang!
His body was knocked flying.
As his body staggered backward, knocking down several of his companions who were trying to help him, Tang Zhong sprang up and kicked him in the chest. Thus, the big guy and several others behind him all fell to the ground.
A strong wind came from behind, and Tang Zhong crouched and lowered his head.
Bang!
A large bowl of noodles flew past his head, smashing against the wall of the alley and breaking into pieces.
Tang Zhong swung the chair 180 degrees and fiercely smashed two guys who were trying to attack him from behind.
"Ugh!"
Tang Zhong grunted, having been hit on the back with a stick.
He quickly turned around, using the chair leg to block the second strike from the big guy. Then he kicked out, and the big guy clutched his groin and rolled on the ground in agony.
Tang Zhong, holding the chair, was like a tiger descending from the mountains, smashing these student-turned-hoodlums into a panic, crying and fleeing.
Although the other side had a numerical advantage, with over thirty people, they were disorganized and scattered. Moreover, they were hesitant in their fighting, thinking more about running before they could achieve anything. They only cared about protecting themselves, prioritizing safety. How could they possibly be a match for Tang Zhong, who had received military training in prison?
Tang Zhong's fighting skills came partly from the occasional pointers from Big Head, partly from the guidance of a former special forces soldier who had been sent to prison as a guard after making a mistake, and mostly from his interactions and learning from the vicious criminals.
Fierce. One hit, one kill.
Accurate. Strike at the vital points.
Fast. You punch me once, I punch you eleven times.
Moreover, he fought with the ferocity of a man willing to risk everything to bring down the emperor. This murderous aura was enough to scare the others into a disorganized retreat, leaving them unable to fight back.
"Don't hit me, don't hit me!"
Bang!
"I'm wrong. I won't do it again...*"
Bang!
"Spare my life. I have no grudge against you. We were just helping Qiao Lei..."
Bang!
No matter who it was, as long as they had attacked him earlier, if Tang Zhong caught up to them, he would smash them with a chair.
Reporting their names didn't work. Begging for mercy didn't work. Informing on others didn't work.
Since they had come, it proved they had already made a mistake.
Making a mistake meant they had to face the consequences.
If those who made mistakes didn't have to pay any cost, the world would be in chaos.
Tang Zhong didn't imagine what they would do to him if he failed. It wasn't that he thought he was invincible; it was that he would strive to win.
He had paid, he had worked hard. That was enough.
There were still five or six people who ran far away, avoiding Tang Zhong like the plague.
Tang Zhong hadn't taken a step forward, but they had already retreated several steps. This made him lose interest in chasing them.
"Let Qiao Lei come out," Tang Zhong threw the chair on the ground. "We've reached this point, and if he still doesn't come out, it will be too shameful."
"I'm here," a man's voice came.
The crowd parted again, and Qiao Lei, along with Li Dapeng and others, walked over.
Tang Zhong recognized all of them. Four of them had been pushed into the ink pond by him, and two had jumped in themselves.
Qiao Lei stood in front of Tang Zhong, looking at him with a complex expression.
Being thrown into the pond by Tang Zhong was a great humiliation for them.
Moreover, because of the widespread dissemination of this incident, they not only lost face in the International Trade Department but also found it hard to hold their heads high in the entire Nan University.
Revenge!
They had to take revenge!
They knew Tang Zhong could fight. The fact that none of the six of them could match him proved this.
To subdue him, they needed more help.
If there were too many people, it would be impossible to act in the school. The school was easily discovered, and teachers might come to stop them before they could even start.
So, he had people keep an eye on Tang Zhong. As soon as they found him outside the school, they would immediately launch an ambush.
Today, while Qiao Lei was drinking and playing cards with some friends in the dormitory, his phone rang. A guy who was out walking with his girlfriend called, saying he had spotted Tang Zhong leaving the Nan University gate and heading toward the food street, possibly to have a late-night snack.
Qiao Lei threw down his cards and immediately started calling his friends. From the International Trade Department, Civil Engineering Department, Management Department, Humanities College, and others, he gathered a group of over thirty people.
Among them were two particularly large guys, who were good at playing center in basketball. With them to suppress Tang Zhong and a group of brothers to surround him, they thought Tang Zhong would not stand a chance.
However, they didn't expect to be so ineffective that they couldn't even manage to run away.
If they could win, they would fight; if they couldn't win, they would run. If they ran, he could pretend to be an outsider and claim no involvement. The school wouldn't be able to do anything to him.
The problem was that a few idiots, after being beaten by Tang Zhong, couldn't even stand up and were lying on the ground, screaming in pain.
In this situation, Qiao Lei had to appear.
If he ran away now, his reputation would be completely ruined.
If that happened, who would dare to help him in the future? He would have no chance to turn the tables.
Tang Zhong pointed at a few guys who had tried to attack him but were now hiding behind Qiao Lei, afraid to step forward, and said, "It seems there's no point in saying anything, right?"
"You're right. They were the ones I found," Qiao Lei admitted manfully. "I said I would take revenge. If not this time, then next time. If not next time, then the time after. Tang Zhong, one day you will fall into my hands. One day, I will make you wish you were dead."
"I remember I told you before that you're not a bad person, just a bit stupid," Tang Zhong said with a squinting smile. "Why are you so sure I'll give you another chance?"
"What can you do?" Qiao Lei sneered. "Kill me? Or kick me out of Nan University?"
"I don't kill people. Killing is illegal. I don't have the power to kick you out of Nan University. I think, since you dared to do this, you must have some backing," Tang Zhong said with a smile. "Why don't you leave on your own?"
"Why should I leave on my own?" Qiao Lei said sarcastically.
"Suppose you suddenly ate a pile of shit," Tang Zhong said.
"You..." Qiao Lei took a step back in fear.
Tang Zhong suddenly moved, punching Li Dapeng in the eye, who tried to intercept him, and kicking another guy to the ground. Then he crouched down and lifted Qiao Lei onto his shoulder.
Qiao Lei grabbed Tang Zhong's neck, trying to make him hesitate.
But soon, his hands lost their strength.
Tang Zhong carried Qiao Lei, and in the wide-eyed and open-mouthed expressions of the numerous students on the food street, he walked step by step toward a public toilet on the street.
He didn't hesitate to step inside, but Qiao Lei's friends only followed to the door and didn't dare to enter.
What if he made them eat shit too?
Unexpectedly, Tang Zhong soon came out again, carrying Qiao Lei, and said apologetically, "The pit is too small, and the face is too big. I can't make him eat shit."
It sounded like an apology or an explanation. After saying this, he carried Qiao Lei inside again.
"Plunk!"
Then many people heard the sound of something falling into the water from inside the toilet.
