Lu Chong woke up and found himself lying on a double sofa, covered with a thin blanket.

Sitting up, he looked around and saw that the bastard was not in sight, but there was a cake box on the coffee table. Turning his head, he saw his mother wearing an apron, busy cooking in the kitchen.

Lu Chong stood up abruptly and asked loudly, "Mom, where is that bastard?"

"What bastard?"

Mom turned her head from the kitchen and asked, "What are you talking about?"

Huh?

Lu Chong was about to say 'Yang Mo' but noticed his mother's expression was very natural, even a bit happy, and she didn't seem to have just undergone intense mental stress. He quickly replied, "Nothing, I just had a nightmare."

"Yes, I came back and saw you bought a lot of vegetables and brought back a cake, but you were lying there asleep, so I didn't wake you up."

Lu Xin Yi, while cooking, replied, "You must have been very tired. In the future, don't stay up too late playing on the computer at night."

"Okay, I understand."

Lu Chong responded gloomily, sat heavily back on the sofa, and rubbed his forehead, trying to clear his mind.

Was it just a dream? But...

Just as he was pondering, his phone in his pocket rang. He took it out and answered, hearing that extremely hateful voice in his ear: "I erased her memory. Some things are better if she doesn't know. I'll find you at the beach tomorrow."

After saying that, he hung up without waiting for Lu Chong's response.

"It wasn't a dream."

Lu Chong fell back on the sofa and took a deep breath, "That bastard really exists..."

In the kitchen, Lu Xin Yi, seeing her son on the phone but not speaking, asked curiously, "Xiao Chong, who's calling?"

"It's Ping An Insurance, I hung up."

Lu Chong replied casually.

Lu Xin Yi nodded, not doubting at all. The insurance industry was like that; once they made contact with you, they would keep trying to sell you things. If you didn't firmly reject them, they would call again.

Earning money was hard, and everyone had it tough, so it was understandable...

During the birthday dinner, Lu Xin Yi could keenly sense that her son was somewhat distracted. She asked him several times, but he always said it was nothing.

Her son was growing up and had his own thoughts. If he didn't want to talk about it, she wouldn't press him, as long as he hadn't gotten into trouble. Especially on his birthday, she didn't want to upset him.

After eating the cake, Lu Chong helped his mother clean the kitchen and then returned to his room. He looked at himself in the mirror from all angles, pulling his eyelids, blinking, and rolling his eyes...

"That guy took out a pair of eyeballs, saying they were a birthday gift for me, and then I passed out from the intense pain."

Lu Chong remembered the scene clearly and, upon waking, felt his vision had significantly improved.

Although he wasn't nearsighted and didn't need glasses, his vision was only about 1.0 before. Now, he could see things very clearly, even the smallest print on a newspaper from five meters away.

"He gave me a pair of eyes? What kind of gift is this?"

"If I really am that bastard's son, he wouldn't harm me, right?"

"He probably wouldn't. With his bizarre methods, he wouldn't need to resort to such schemes to kill us."

"Fortunately, he knew to erase Mom's memory of today, so she wouldn't be devastated. Otherwise, how much pain would she have endured, giving birth to a son for such a bastard and waiting for him for eighteen years..."

Various thoughts flashed through his mind. Lu Chong thought he would be up all night, but after washing up, he felt a sudden wave of fatigue as if he hadn't slept for two or three days. He fell asleep within seconds.

He slept through the night without getting up to use the bathroom.

When he woke up, his mother had already gone to work. She was a supervisor accountant at a company, having worked there for nearly ten years, and her monthly salary had just reached over 5,000. Fortunately, they owned their house, so they didn't have to pay rent, and the two of them could manage to get by.

The beach stall usually opened at 9 a.m. Compared to his mother, Lu Chong could sleep in for an hour.

After washing up, he had no appetite, so he went to the beach scenic area. The guy had said on the phone last night that he would find him at the beach today.

Meeting at the beach was best to avoid letting him come into contact with his mother.

That bastard was so heartless to his mother, worse than a beast. Damn it! Even though he said he had no mother...

Arriving at his stall, Lu Chong had no interest in setting it up and just sat on a chair facing the sea, lost in thought. His stall was a wheeled rack stored in a nearby centralized warehouse. In the morning, he would pull it out, and in the evening, he would return it to the warehouse.

All twenty-odd stalls in this area were the same. To protect the environment and maintain the scenery, no one was allowed to build fixed wooden stalls, no matter how beautiful they were.

Lu Chong actually agreed with this management approach. In a scenic area, maintaining the natural beauty was most important, and the inconvenience to the stall owners was a small price to pay.

He waited until around noon, but the guy didn't show up. Instead, three other annoying guys appeared.

These three were local hooligans: one bald, one with red hair, and the other with a more normal hairstyle but with dragon and tiger tattoos on his chest, back, and arms.

The most idiotic one, the red-haired guy, had a series of burn scars on his forearm and a tattoo that read "I Love XX." It was probably originally "I Love Xiao Li" or "I Love Ah Fang," but he had changed his mind and covered the girl's name with two ugly flowers.

Lu Chong had thought more than once: Did you really need that money? Couldn't you have gone to a tattoo shop and paid a professional to do it? Look at you, with your primary school handwriting, how could you be so embarrassed to stick it into your own flesh...

These three guys were hired by Wang Haoqiang, a local thug. They would come to cause trouble every few days, at the very least, they would mock him verbally.

Every few days, a large pile of feces would be left at his stall location, definitely done by the three of them at night.

If it weren't for not wanting to get into trouble and upset his mother, he would have used a thick branch to beat them up long ago.

He used to wonder why he had such a bad temper and was so fierce in fights. Now he understood—it was the genetic legacy of that bastard devil.

"Hey, Lu Chong, why aren't you setting up your stall today?"

The red-haired guy with the "I Love XX" tattoo on his arm was the first to speak, shouting from a few meters away, "Sitting there like an idiot, daydreaming? Did you get laid last night and are still savoring it?"

The short but slightly muscular bald guy chuckled, "Look at his face, he probably wanted to get laid but didn't get the chance."

The one with the more normal hairstyle, who was a bit stuttering, said, "Lu, Lu Chong, don't be sad. Come on, let's go to the small, small woods, I'll do you."

Lu Chong kept his head down, not wanting to deal with them. He was determined not to get into trouble, even after the bizarre and surreal events of yesterday with the devil father.

"Lu Chong, we're talking to you. Why aren't you answering? Do you look down on us?"

As he said this, the three of them had already approached and surrounded Lu Chong.

Lu Chong sat up straight and said to them in a low voice, "Get lost, or you'll be in big trouble soon."

"Ha, I'd like to see what trouble you can cause us."

The red-haired guy pushed Lu Chong's shoulder, almost burning him with the cigarette in his hand.

Lu Chong moved quickly, pushing his arm away. The guy immediately shouted, "Hey, did you see that? He hit me first, he hit me first. Did you all see that?"

He wasn't talking to his two companions but to the other stall owners nearby, meaning: I'm about to defend myself, and if the police come, you have to testify for me.

Lu Chong stood up. The other side was about to attack, and he couldn't just sit there and take it. But just as he was about to act, a figure suddenly appeared beside him.

He had arrived, the bastard who claimed to be his father.

Today, he was dressed differently, wearing a white short-sleeved shirt and dark blue jeans, a simple and more casual look than yesterday, but he was undeniably very attractive, the kind of man who looked good in anything.

"If you don't want to get involved with the police, take them to the small woods."

He whispered to Lu Chong.

Lu Chong noticed that the bald guy, the red-haired guy, and the other stall owners couldn't see this guy, probably because he had used some kind of illusion spell.

A devil from hell, skilled in magic, was not surprising...

Lu Chong then said to the three guys, "Want to do me? Let's go to the small woods. Today, I'll let you have your way with me."

With that, he turned and walked away.

The three guys were clearly taken aback. They had already noticed that Lu Chong's mood was off today, and his resistance was stronger than usual.

However, three against one, they weren't afraid, so they followed Lu Chong to the small woods a few dozen meters away.

The "small woods" didn't have many trees, just some short pines. But because of the giant rocks, it created a blind spot where activities inside were not easily seen from outside.

The three guys still didn't notice the devil beside Lu Chong, who seemed to be in a nearly perfect state of invisibility.

Once in the woods, the red-haired guy asked first, "How do you want to do it, speak up."

"I need your souls!"

Lu Chong's eyes suddenly turned dark red, and a terrifying devil's head appeared in his pupils.

From that moment on, Lu Chong's mind was still clear and normal, but his words and actions were involuntary, clearly under the control of the devil father.

The three guys, seeing the change in Lu Chong's eyes, immediately realized something was wrong. But they were also under control, standing still, unable to move or speak, their muscles completely stiff, and their expressions of shock frozen on their faces...
