Chapter 40

"Hello, I am your head instructor for this training, Zankong. You are very fortunate, as you are the first group of trainees I have taken under my wing since I started working here," said Head Instructor Zankong.

The students stood there straight, not daring to speak.

In the past, they had only interacted with teachers, who, though knowledgeable, always imparted knowledge. However, the military mages had a unique aura from battling demons, which made these inexperienced students dare not act rashly, even though the head instructor named Zankong seemed quite gentle.

"Rest assured, since you are the first group of trainees I am leading, to ensure you can smoothly pass this training assessment, which is crucial for your college entrance exams, I will give you a special favor!" Zankong said loudly.

Failing the training assessment or receiving a low evaluation would have a significant impact on their grades, and it might even drastically change their lives.

"I know you are the best young mages in our Bocity, and I believe you have the strength to handle this training assessment... So, this major training is very, very simple," Head Instructor Zankong said with a harmless smile.

Luo Yunbo and Pan Lijun couldn't help but frown at this moment. Whenever their leader showed this smile, it usually meant something bad was about to happen!

"I just received a bounty, which is the easiest on our bounty list. There are 100 magic trainees in your school, right... So, as long as any one of these 100 students or any team completes this bounty, all of you will pass the training assessment and receive an A," Zankong said.

As soon as Zankong finished speaking, the entire small village was in an uproar!!

The first to react were the 100 students undergoing training here.

They had heard from their seniors that as long as they didn't offend the instructors, they could pass the training by just getting by. Outstanding performance would earn them a B, and getting an A was no problem.

But they had never heard of needing to complete a bounty before!!

Bounties were special tasks that only adult mage teams would take on for high rewards!!

Outside the square, the hunters who frequently visited the station couldn't remain calm either!!

What the hell is going on.

Let these students complete a bounty task???

Are you crazy? These inexperienced students can't possibly complete it!!!

"Then what if none of us can complete the bounty?" Xu Zhaoting, who was standing at the front, asked.

"Then all of you will fail," Zankong replied calmly.

These words made all the students and teachers lose their composure.

"Head Instructor, you might as well just fail us all!" At this moment, Zhou Min, the class president of the top class, could no longer hold back and stood up.

"Exactly, what's the difference between this and just failing us all!!"

The expressions on the faces of teachers like Zhang Jianguo, Xue Musheng, Tang Yue, and Chen Weiliang also couldn't be hidden.

What's going on? Wasn't it supposed to be arranged here? Why is this head instructor not following the script?

Is a bounty something students can do??

"There's nothing wrong with that, you can talk to your school board member Deng Kai. Anyway, getting a high score from me is not easy. Since Tianlan Magic High School is the best public high school in Bocity, it shouldn't bring a group of useless people here for training. If you just want to pass the days, you might as well go back to school and read some magic books, using that useless magic to hit some dummies. There's no need to come to this dangerous station!" Zankong's tone suddenly became heavy, and his previously smiling face instantly turned into a fierce and terrifying one.

Bringing a group of useless people for training??

These words deeply hurt the hearts of all the students!

"Head Instructor, the assessment you set is too demanding. As far as I know, any bounty usually requires a mature team that has trained in the wild for three to five years to complete..." Teacher Zhang Jianguo said weakly.

"You have 100 people. If you can't even complete one bounty, it only means that the 100 useless people you, these mediocre teachers, have trained, have disappointed me. And you call yourselves top students??" Head Instructor Zankong said bluntly.

Zhang Jianguo's face turned pale and then red.

Is this head instructor crazy? Not only did he set an impossible task, but he also insulted both the teachers and students of Tianlan Magic High School.

"Of course, the teams and individuals who complete the bounty will receive personal rewards from me. The reward is a defensive magic tool," Zankong raised his voice and continued.

As soon as he mentioned the defensive magic tool, all the veteran hunters outside the square became excited!

"Damn, a defensive magic tool???"

"Boss Zankong, please, give us this chance. We guarantee to complete the task perfectly."

"Right, we need a defensive magic tool. This life-saving thing must be given to us."

"Let us compete fairly with these students, Boss Zankong. We want the magic tool too!!"

For a moment, all the hunter teams gathered outside the square shouted.

Magic tools!!

Magic tools are equipment that connect with the soul and can be quickly transformed into real objects to aid in battle through mental activation.

Like the magic shoes that the bald vendor sold earlier, when worn and activated, they significantly increase the wearer's speed. If encountering a demon that can't be defeated, these magic shoes can save one's life.

Moreover, during battles, an increase in speed significantly enhances a mage's combat power.

Defensive magic tools can directly transform into special equipment like shields or armor, blocking magic and demon attacks at critical moments, providing life-saving protection.

Although the value of magic tools is not as high as star dust magic weapons, for hunters who often risk their lives in the wild, they are truly life-saving treasures. What could be more valuable than life?

"Damn, that's a big move. As far as I know, even a very ordinary defensive magic tool is worth at least several hundred thousand yuan!"

"No wonder those hunters are going crazy. Such a valuable item is being given as a training reward to these inexperienced students."

"The question is, can these students get it?"

"You're right, bounties are usually very difficult, and even experienced hunter mages sometimes face life-threatening situations."

Mo Fan was still somewhat unfamiliar with magic tools, but if they were converted into RMB, he understood it very well!

The most ordinary magic tool costs several hundred thousand yuan. Damn, I've never seen so much money in my life!
