○ Laila (18)

Daughter of the Kyrka merchant family in the Kingdom of Rendia. She has dark blonde hair that reaches just below her shoulders and purple eyes.

She was engaged to Joachim, the second son of the Count Tra family, but the engagement was broken off. Immediately after, Julius proposed to her.

She is technically a lady but is tough and recovers quickly. Since Julius is often absent-minded, she inevitably becomes the one to point out his mistakes.

She is skilled at making pastries and is a non-magician.

○ Julius (22)

Adopted son of the Bartsek family, a renowned magical family in the Kingdom of Rendia. He has long wheat-colored hair and hazel eyes.

He is an extremely talented magician but suffers from health issues due to his excessive magical power, giving him a very unhealthy appearance. His body fat percentage is surprisingly high.

As a result, some people in society call him the "Ghost Magician."

Despite his appearance, he is calm and laid-back, a mysterious person. He unconsciously dotes on Laila, making her blush. This is a particularly annoying trait.

Fifteen years ago, he was a war orphan found and taken in by the Rendia Magic Army during the Miasis Border War.

○ Verneli (Early 20s)

Employee at the Rendia Kingdom Magic Research Institute. She has short, straight black hair and deep green eyes that slant upwards.

She is Julius's caretaker, and his world revolves around him. She is skilled at all household chores, especially cooking, which she is very particular about.

She generally treats Laila coldly but feels lonely when excluded. She is a type who often ends up losing, a tsundere who becomes happy when praised.

Her relationship with Helka is not good.

○ Helka (21)

Employee at the Rendia Kingdom Magic Research Institute. She has straight, platinum blonde hair and brown, competitive eyes.

She is Laila's caretaker and a cool beauty with a great body. Despite her cool exterior, she is quite curious and playful, showing a cute side in front of Laila.

She treats her colleague Verneli coldly and is slightly more dominant. When she cooks, everything turns into a taste of nothingness.

○ Anton & Helena

The Kyrka family, merchants in the Kingdom of Rendia.

Laila's parents, they are successful merchants. Although they are from the upper middle class, they are recognized for their abilities and are invited to noble gatherings.

They arranged Laila's engagement to Joachim to gain status, but it was broken off for one-sided reasons, so they do not think highly of Joachim. Laila apparently looks like her mother when she was young.

○ Joachim (20)

Second son of the Count Tra family in the Kingdom of Rendia.

His family holds a noble title but is poor, so he was supposed to marry Laila to gain wealth. However, when Carolina had a child, he broke off the engagement with Laila and decided to marry Carolina.

He apparently neither liked nor disliked Laila. He is the "useless man" character in this story.

○ Carolina (18)

Daughter of the Levy family, which holds a quasi-noble title in the Kingdom of Rendia. She has blonde hair and green eyes.

She is Laila's friend from her school days. She somehow ended up with Joachim and is pregnant. She is the "annoying" character in this story.

○ Isabella

Head of the Bartsek family, a renowned magical family in the Kingdom of Rendia.

She is an extremely talented magician who created various legends in her youth. She serves as a board member of the Magic Research Institute and has significant influence, collaborating on various projects and enjoying the trust of the king.

She is Julius's adoptive father's sister and his aunt by marriage. She dotes on her sickly nephew.
