Chapter 11

The mansion on Long Island.

Ororo and Zhou Yi began to prepare for the scene of holding hands, but at this moment, the phone rang urgently.

Annoyed, Zhou Yi was about to continue, but Ororo pushed him away as if she had been electrocuted and fumbled through the clothes on the floor to find her phone.

She glanced at it and said to Zhou Yi, "Something happened at the school. It's Jean's call, a secure line!"

Even though Zhou Yi was already consumed by desire, he still controlled his behavior rationally, knowing the status of the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters in Ororo's heart. It was like a home to her, and he didn't want to ruin his impression with her for a moment of desire.

With a heavy breath, Ororo answered the phone.

"Jean, what's wrong? What's the problem?"

"Is that you, Ororo? Your voice sounds a bit strange," Jean said, pausing for a moment before responding.

"Cough, cough, nothing, just a bit... tired. What happened at the school?" Ororo tried to cover up her breathing and change the subject.

"Ororo, it's about Rachel..." Before she could finish, Zhou Yi immediately grabbed the phone, "Tell me, Jean, what happened to Rachel?"

There was no response from the phone for a moment, until Zhou Yi called out again, and Jean Grey's voice finally came through.

"Yi, what are you doing there?"

"That's not important. Tell me, Jean! What happened to Rachel?"

Jean Grey paused for a moment before responding.

"Rachel and two students have disappeared from the school. I tried to track them, but I haven't found anything yet. Zhou Yi, you and Ororo need to act immediately. If something happens to them, it will be too late!"

Zhou Yi, hearing Jean Grey's words, didn't immediately take action but said into the phone, "Jean, stay at the school and wait. I'll handle this. Trust me, I'll bring them back unharmed."

After hanging up, Zhou Yi turned to Ororo and said, "Dear, stay here, okay? Just like you promised, let me handle this."

Seeing Ororo nod, Zhou Yi quickly put on his clothes, walked out of the bedroom to the balcony, and then crouched and leaped. In a deafening roar, he disappeared into the endless night sky.

At the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters, Jean Grey put down the phone, somewhat dazed. She knew who Ororo was with and was somewhat prepared for what was about to happen. But when she heard Zhou Yi's voice and Ororo's heavy breathing, she couldn't help but let her thoughts wander. For her, tonight was bound to be a sleepless one.

Similarly unable to rest were a group of people on night duty at 30,000 feet.

A cold beauty in a tight outfit walked into a large monitoring room, flanked by armed soldiers, and loudly asked the busy staff, "Who can tell me the reason for the alarm?"

"Report, sir, we detected an unidentified flying object, moving very fast, about 20 Mach, and it's still accelerating."

"What is it?" The cold beauty pushed aside the people in front of her and walked to a large 3D image. All that could be seen was the night sky, with layers of clouds being torn apart by high-speed movement.

"Sorry, sir! It's too fast, we lost it!" The staff member monitoring the screen responded.

"Continue searching. I want detailed information. Also, question all potential targets, whether military, space agencies, or defense contractors. Immediately, now!" The cold beauty's attitude was as harsh as her demeanor.

"Yes, sir!" The staff responded with standard replies and the efficient operation of numerous devices. The cold beauty stood there, believing that this sudden flying object would not just appear once and would reappear.

Meanwhile, in a underground bar in Brooklyn, Rachel and her few friends began their adventure.

This was a rather strange underground bar, according to Rachel's impression. It was too hidden; if she hadn't followed a punk couple, she wouldn't have found such a place.

Who would have thought a bar would be in an abandoned factory underground, and which bar would have a dozen security guards at the entrance?

"At least, we're mutants!" Rachel smiled proudly. At her signal, Katie held her hand and another girl's hand, and they passed through the barriers like smoke. When they came to their senses, they were already in the bar's restroom.

As soon as they landed, they heard a woman's high-pitched scream and a man's low growl from the stall behind them. Rachel awkwardly smiled and said to her two friends, "Wow, this is intense!"

The two friends nodded numbly, then, as if remembering something, blushed and led Rachel out of the restroom. The battle between the man and woman continued behind them.

In the center of the bar, as they had expected, there was loud heavy metal music, chaotic lights, and men and women dancing wildly, half-naked.

This place, filled with a wild atmosphere, made the three underage girls feel incredibly fresh and curious. A rebellious girl like Rachel couldn't help but exclaim, "Cool!"

Yes, they found the behavior before them very cool. Compared to the monotonous life of studying from 9 to 5 at the school, this was what they wanted.

Freedom, no constraints, completely letting go.

They began to mimic the people around them, moving their bodies, trying to blend into the wild environment. The people around them, seeing these three fresh-faced girls, began to smile strangely.

Under their conscious pushing and crowding, the three girls were gradually led to the back of the crowd. Compared to the crowded front, there were fewer people here. But looking around, the men and women here were clearly more handsome and beautiful. They were either a couple or two women, embracing each other, rubbing against each other, and exchanging fluids. The air here seemed to be filled with hormones.

Seeing this, the three innocent girls looked at each other, feeling a bit overwhelmed. For them, this scene was too intense. Although they were about 16 years old, and in the U.S., girls of this age should be somewhat accustomed to such scenes, they were not.

They were mutants, from the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters, founded by Professor Charles. The old man had protected them well, even keeping them from excessive exposure to such things. So they now felt quite uncomfortable.

Fortunately, Katie saw the bar's counter not far from them. She tugged on Rachel's sleeve and pointed in that direction.

Rachel glanced and immediately understood, putting on a bossy air and saying to the two girls, "Let's go, girls, I'm buying today! Let's drink to our heart's content!"

This rich and bossy expression would usually annoy people, but for those who knew her, it was too normal. After all, Rachel had a wealthy and handsome brother.

Moreover, for the other two girls, they didn't have extra pocket money to spend here. As mutants, their backgrounds were not as fortunate as Rachel's. Even if they weren't abandoned by their families, they didn't receive the same pampering as normal children. So sometimes, Rachel was the odd one out among them.

The three girls laughed and came to the bar. Rachel called out to the bartender, "Hey! Buddy, give us three of the strongest drinks!"

The bartender was a bald middle-aged man. He looked at the three girls strangely, continuing to wipe the empty glass in his hand while giving them a nasty smile.

"Little girls, I don't have milk for kids here!"

"Hey! We have money!" Rachel pulled out a thick stack of Franklin bills and waved them in front of the bartender, but he still didn't move, and the strange smile on his lips became even more pronounced.

"Alright, Joe! Give the ladies a cocktail, on my tab!" At this moment, a cold and alluring female voice sounded from behind the three girls.

The bartender, hearing this voice, immediately put away his smile and said respectfully, "Yes, Miss Nissa!"

Rachel then turned to see the person behind her. It was a rather strange woman.

First, her skin was very pale, without a hint of blood color. Second, she was very beautiful, with long black hair tied up, a beautiful face that was seductive and sexy. Especially her bright red lips and hazy eyes, combined with her pale skin and black hair, created a mesmerizing effect even for Rachel, a woman herself.

What impressed Rachel most was her unique aura. It was completely different from anyone she had ever known, mysterious, alluring, and with a special charm. It was something she couldn't experience. If Zhou Yi or Tony were here, they would recognize it as the mark of time, a captivating wine aged by time.

Of course, Rachel wasn't entirely accepting of the woman's beauty. First, she thought the woman's jewelry was too old-fashioned, whether the intricate gold necklace or the gold headband. For Rachel, they were not to her liking.

Indeed, such ancient jewelry wasn't suitable for everyone, but for this woman, it was just right. The ancient mystery seemed to be something only she could handle. Of course, the proud Miss Rachel wouldn't admit this.

The woman in black leather didn't care about the resentment her voluptuous and sexy body might cause in the young girls. She elegantly walked to Rachel's side, sat down, and said to the three girls,

"Dear girls, you shouldn't be here!" The bartender had already brought a bright red drink to the woman named Nissa, as well as the cocktails for the three girls.

"We came with a friend, it's our first time!" Rachel said before the other two girls could speak, secretly pulling their sleeves.

"That's right, exactly!" Katie and the other girl quickly agreed. The woman smiled slightly.

She raised her glass and said to the three girls, "The people here don't care how you got here, because no one leaves here!"

"What do you mean?" Rachel pulled on her beret, feeling uneasy. Suddenly, she noticed something strange; the woman beside her didn't have a normal person's breathing, and the people's eyes here were also strange.

"Stay still, girls! This is a feast, and I can't guarantee I can control these wild beasts," the woman said, her smile fading as she spoke in a low voice.

Her words made Rachel even more uneasy. The words "feast" and "beasts" intertwined, making her feel a chill down her spine. She looked at her friends, who also had a look of fear in their eyes.

Rachel instinctively wanted to activate her crystal screen to escape, but seeing her friends, she gave up the idea. Her power control wasn't perfect, and using it to open a long-distance portal in such an unstable mental state could have severe consequences.

The three girls involuntarily held hands, their palms beginning to sweat.
