Just after the two of them finished their idle chat, the plane had already landed on top of a building. It was more of a factory than a mansion.
At least Zhou Yi could smell the strange medicinal and disinfectant odors. The security personnel and searchlights everywhere made Zhou Yi feel that the person living inside must be a cowardly bully. At the very least, Zhou Yi believed that a truly powerful person should have the composure and mindset to remain calm amidst any storm, just like himself.
Nisha stood up, tidied her appearance, and casually took out a ring with a crest to wear on her hand while putting on a mink coat. She did not make any intimate gestures towards Zhou Yi, as if their previous conversation had never happened. She merely called out to Zhou Yi indifferently, inviting him to follow her forward.
Zhou Yi got off the plane, first standing still to look around the surroundings. His black armor almost blended into the night, with only the Dawn emblem on his shoulder standing out. The black cloak fluttered in the night breeze, and the thin armor plates wrapped around his muscular body, making him look like a black panther stalking its prey in the night. Such an outfit would be exceptionally eye-catching anywhere, and here it would attract even more attention.
To humans, the Dawn Knight was a topic of combating crime and eradicating evil forces, a superhero. For many days, he would always descend from the sky during the rampant activities of evil forces, delivering a thunderous blow to those who disrupted order and endangered the safety of others. Together with the New York police, they solved many major cases, and both the media and the public gave this newly emerged superhero extremely high praise. Of course, this praise also included dissatisfaction with his insufficient attendance.
To vampires, the Dawn Knight's infamy rivaled that of the veteran vampire hunter, Blade. Blade's infamy was built up over countless battles, with each sword and bullet, slowly pieced together. It was the result of Blade's relentless and tireless pursuit and slaughter of vampires over many years. Decades of effort had earned him his infamy.
The Dawn Knight was different. To vampires, he was like a newly launched intercontinental missile. In just three strikes, he had eliminated hundreds of vampires. Subsequent investigations showed only a bright light, followed by hundreds of vampires turning to ashes.
Such methods even made some experienced vampires believe that this was a precursor to humans breaking their alliance. Despite the fact that the Dawn Knight had only killed a few hundred vampires, which was a far cry from Blade's thousands, it was important to note that Blade's numbers were accumulated over decades, while the Dawn Knight achieved this in just three nights. Even for humans, a race with billions, the death of hundreds in three days would cause international shock and significant waves. Therefore, the surrounding vampires looked at Zhou Yi with strange eyes, filled with fear and hatred.
However, who would care about the thoughts of ants at their feet? Zhou Yi completely ignored these people and followed Nisha into the building. Inside, the security was even stricter, and the confidentiality measures were even more rigorous.
Nisha walked up to an elevator with a cold face, placing her slender hand on a device that looked like a fingerprint recognition system. However, it was not a fingerprint recognition system but a more stringent skeletal DNA verification system. Five thin needles extended like slowly spreading fingers, then slowly inserted deep into Nisha's palm through the gaps in her knuckles.
Zhou Yi could clearly see the frown on the cold beauty's face. Clearly, using this device was not comfortable. Zhou Yi wanted to say something to the woman but ultimately said nothing. The two of them entered the elevator, which quickly descended into the depths of the building, bringing them to a room surrounded by stone walls. In this room, besides the elevator, there was only a mechanical device with a vampire style in the center.
Nisha took out a cylindrical device and inserted it into the slot of the mechanical device. As the cylindrical object descended, heavy mechanical sounds echoed throughout the room, and a wall slowly opened, revealing a metal-filled door. This door was no smaller than the one in Zhou Yi's laboratory, but it was opened by mechanical power, while Zhou Yi's required human effort.
As the door opened, Nisha introduced with pride, "Now, before you lies the true face of the Vampire Empire. The true power of the Vampire Empire lies here." Zhou Yi didn't know what had happened to this woman, who seemed intelligent and rational. A vampire empire sounded like a joke. All he saw were decaying vampires and more unsightly, dirty things. Such an existence was a desecration of life.
With his super vision activated, Zhou Yi saw many different things. He found the situation intriguing. Was Nisha just putting on a show, or was she also in the dark? What were the old vampires plotting? Zhou Yi didn't know, but he had to admit that these conspiracy-laden events had caught his attention.
Unlike the modern metal style of the front hall, behind the door was an ancient castle. As soon as they entered, it felt like they were in one of those old, decaying castles from the Middle Ages. In the center of the castle, a decaying figure stood with his back to the door, flipping through an ancient book at a desk.
Beside him was a respectful black butler and three men standing there with wary expressions. Among these three men, an old man and a thin, wiry man who looked like a mechanic were not particularly noticeable and did not attract Zhou Yi's or the other vampires' attention.
The other man, however, was a stone-faced black giant. He wore black sunglasses and a black trench coat. His large, muscular build made his coat look somewhat bulky, but this was not entirely due to his physique. Experienced people could see various prominent bulges on his body, some resembling blades, others guns, and some bombs. He was fully armed, a perfect description of his state.
Zhou Yi even believed that if a fight broke out now, this man's firepower could control the scene for five minutes. He was a killing machine, and fortunately, his targets were pitiful vampires.
This was Blade, the world's most renowned vampire hunter, almost comparable to the legendary Van Helsing, a terrifying existence that had already achieved the rare feat of making vampires tremble at the mere mention of his name.
When the door opened and the cold-faced Nisha and the Dawn Knight, completely covered in armor, entered the castle, each person reacted differently. The castle's owner, the vampire grand duke, continued to read his book, seemingly unaware of their arrival.
The butler, however, was on high alert, his eyes fixed on the newly arrived vampire hunter, the Dawn Knight, his muscles tense. Among the other three, the old man merely scrutinized him, the mechanic looked at him with a playful expression, occasionally examining the Dawn Knight's armor with great interest. Blade's reaction was simpler; he merely tilted his head, and no one could tell what expression was behind his sunglasses. However, Zhou Yi knew that such a person would likely have only two views: enemy or kindred.
Clearly, Zhou Yi was considered kindred.
"Father..." Nisha began, but was immediately interrupted by the vampire grand duke. He raised his hand, turned around, and revealed his true face. It looked like a corpse that had been soaked in formaldehyde for years, dressed in an ancient noble's robe, both comical and terrifying.
"Gentlemen, allow me to introduce my master," the vampire butler said with a grand tone. "The leader of the Vampire Party, the supreme grand duke of the vampire race, Alida Makinos."
After his loyal butler finished the introduction, the supreme grand duke dramatically extended his hand, and his daughter Nisha immediately supported him. Only then did he speak.
"Welcome to my castle. We vampires have a saying: take pride in your enemy and enjoy his achievements. In that case, I should thank you."
A hero's enemy is only a hero. This old vampire, before doing anything, already considered himself the final boss. His pretentious attitude and arrogant tone made Zhou Yi find him extremely ridiculous. He had no idea what tiny bit of arrogance was based on, and he was even proud of it.
"Do you think you are worthy to be my enemy, vampire?" Zhou Yi, unable to bear the arrogance any longer, smiled and stepped forward, asking the vampire grand duke.
His words instantly triggered the already highly alert vampire butler. He shouted, "This is before the supreme grand duke! Human, stop your arrogant actions!" With that, he drew his weapon and lunged at Zhou Yi.
An ant trying to kill an elephant, even with a bomb as heavy as itself, would be useless. Zhou Yi's eyes showed disdain, and he punched the air. The air exploded with a loud bang, and visible shockwaves immediately wreaked havoc in the castle. But that was not all.
A jet of air, like a high-pressure water gun, struck the vampire butler. His charging body was immediately halted and thrown back at high speed, crashing into the wall with a heavy impact, leaving a prominent human-shaped mark. After a while, his body slid down.
This was the powerful wind pressure generated by a supersonic punch, constrained by a telekinetic field, forming a sonic punch. It was a miraculous sight, enough to intimidate those with sinister intentions.
Zhou Yi ignored the loyal butler and continued towards the vampire grand duke. He wanted to see what means and confidence this man had to dare to put on such a show before him.
