The donkey cart followed the mountain path through the dense forest, heading towards the halfway point of the mountain. After passing through several winding and twisting turns, it finally began to descend into a mountain hollow. As the sky began to lighten with the first hint of dawn, the donkey cart finally reached the riverbank. Looking downstream along the river, not far away was the tall, ornate flag of the City God Temple. However, as the sky grew brighter, its world had already faded away, and everything gradually returned to silence.
The night was when it truly flourished!
Just as the donkey cart crossed the bridge, the old man with bulging eyes, who had been dozing on the cart, suddenly opened his eyes and slapped the cart bed. The donkey cart immediately stopped. He sat up, squinted, and looked upstream.
In the distance, it seemed that a wooden basin was floating over the river!
This was just an ordinary wooden basin, but for some reason, the old man felt a sense of unease. He quickly took out a small bottle from his pocket, poured a drop of liquid onto his eye. The liquid was a mixture of various things, including the sap of the hundred-wisdom willow, the tears of the nine-unique ox, the ashes of incense before the Buddha, and a hundred miles of sand, which could temporarily open one's third eye to see certain things.
The old man's original intention was just to see what was happening, but unexpectedly, he saw a once-in-a-century sight:
A thousand shadows swirling, a hundred ghosts transforming into demons!
He was instantly stunned!
The people in the ghost market all had some background, and this old man was no ordinary person. His original name was Wang Bayue, and he was a disciple of a side branch of the Yin-Yang Master lineage. After completing his training, he was young and inexperienced, and he caught and exorcised ghosts and demons without any restraint, which led to him accumulating heavy karma, resulting in him having no descendants. He eventually became resigned to his fate and went into seclusion in the City God Temple ghost market in Que'er Mountain, living with a group of practitioners to avoid calamity and prepare for the rest of his life. Who would have thought that at the age of seventy or eighty, he would witness such a thing!
A ghost fetus!
A ghost fetus, also known as a ghost child, a yin child, or a spirit child, refers to a child born full-term inside the body of a pregnant woman who died and was buried. After birth, the child has all three souls and seven spirits, can speak and walk like a normal person
