Chapter 88

Zhenbao did not expect this fellow to actually be able to float up into the sky. He was momentarily stunned, but his mind was quick, and he placed the staff on his shoulder, shouting, "Hey! Zhenbao, disciple of the Five Rings Sect of Yin-Yang Masters, is here. How dare you act so recklessly? If you know what's good for you, release the person in your hands, and I might spare your life. Once the Five Thunders strike, and your soul dissipates, it will be too late to regret!"

His sudden charge had already been noticed by the soldiers, who now looked as if they had received a heavenly blessing. They bowed their heads like they were pounding rice, shouting, "Master, save us! Master, save us! We are good people..." They were like drowning men clutching at straws, or falling men grabbing at withered branches, not caring about anything else.

"Five Rings Sect Yin-Yang Master?" Although Shihu Yin did not speak, a sinister voice echoed in the air, reverberating in everyone's ears: "Do you, a mere child, deserve such a title?" The eerie laughter came from nowhere, now far, now near, now light, now heavy, ethereal and pervasive, as if it came from all directions.

Zhenbao ignored the soldiers' pleas and laughed, "I've only heard of a saying, 'If you don't seek death, you won't die.' I used to think it was hard for anyone to be so foolish, but today I've seen it with my own eyes."

The mournful ghostly cries suddenly stopped!

After a while, Shihu Yin's voice sounded again, "If I let you die within three days, it will be my fault!"

Zhenbao laughed loudly, "I won't die within three days, but before dawn, you will be soulless." He had already made up his mind to scare Shihu Yin and the ghosts, to terrify their minds and weaken their courage. Then, with a little effort, he could scare away the other spirits—once he dealt with this Yin聚合凶煞, the rest would be easy.

His laughter had not yet subsided when many black shadows suddenly appeared around him, of various sizes, both male and female, hidden well in the darkness. The inn suddenly became much colder, and a chill wind blew.

Suddenly, there were several clinks, and the inn was instantly lit up. The scene before him changed abruptly. Countless men and women were engaged in lewd acts amidst the red lights and green wine, sitting, lying, standing, lifting... indecent and unspeakable. There were scenes of women sitting on lotus flowers, monkeys climbing trees, roosters standing on one leg... all kinds of postures, including male-male and female-female couplings. The sounds of lust and obscenity were unbearable to hear. Obscene words and phrases were interspersed!

More lascivious women writhed in front of Zhenbao, with beautiful ankles, long legs, slender waists, firm and proud breasts, eyes full of spring, faces full of allure, soft and seductive words, and skin smooth as jade!

Their eyes invited, their smiles invited, their hands, their chests, their legs... every inch of their bodies invited—

Behind the tempting bodies, there were five naked men, their bodies exposed, revealing bloody cavities. This did not reduce the temptation but added a cruel and provocative element!

The moans and gasps mixed, like heaven or hell!

Could any man resist?

Shihu Yin had miscalculated—she had forgotten that Zhenbao had no three fires, and thus they could not bewitch his true heart. In his eyes, all the ghostly illusions were in vain!

Because in his eyes, the scene was still the dilapidated inn, the filthy place, with countless black shadows stealthily approaching, ready to attack...

Zhenbao planted the wooden staff on the ground, and without waiting for anyone's command, he recited the Five Thunders spell, and with a few palm strikes, he sent out powerful thunderbolts in all directions!

The Palm Heart Thunder emphasizes internal cultivation, transformation of the divine, and the practice of the Five Thunders of Yin and Yang. Internal cultivation involves observing the mysteries of change and nurturing true qi, while external use involves the power of the mind, magic, and talismans, releasing powerful lightning from the palms. It is effective in adjusting the feng shui of yin and yang dwellings and can harm vengeful spirits—indeed, as soon as the Five Thunders spell and the Palm Heart Thunder were unleashed, the scene in the inn changed dramatically!

The beautiful and alluring scenes disappeared, and the vengeful spirits were blown apart, a gruesome sight.

The black shadows were torn apart, the yin energy hissing out, the souls unable to return to their bodies, and black smoke swirling in the room. The spirits hit directly turned into green smoke, wailing and screaming as they were drawn back to the cycle of rebirth; those not hit directly were howling and fleeing in all directions...

In the air, Shihu Yin was enraged, suddenly screeching and charging straight at Zhenbao!

"Come on!"

Zhenbao now had some confidence. Holding the staff, he took a few steps forward and thrust it forward!

"Ha!"

Just as he took a step, his foot was suddenly held back by someone who had pounced from behind. Zhenbao fell forward—

"Oh no!" He suddenly remembered the five naked male ghosts!

As soon as the thought arose, his body moved. He twisted his body, suddenly lying on his back, and swung the staff upward, while biting his tongue to draw blood, which he spat out—

"Break!"

The tip of his tongue gathered the three fires, and the blood there was a concentration of the three primary flames, the most yang energy. This blood, called 'Three Yang Son,' was best for dealing with yin spirits. Combined with the 'Break' spell, it created a powerful yang force to dispel yin—however, it was useless against the ghostly corpses!

The five ghostly corpses were already dead, but their souls had not left, trapped by Shihu Yin for her pleasure, like zombies that could not be directly harmed. So, Shihu Yin only made strange sounds, floating away to avoid the staff, and the naked male ghosts did not retreat.

The world works in strange ways. Zhenbao was wrong, but so was Shihu Yin.

He had no three fires, no 'Three Yang Son' to dispel the yin energy. Yet, the blood from his tongue sprayed all over the ghostly corpses!

Pain! Unbearable pain! Zhenbao strained to spray his blood onto the ghostly corpses, kicking wildly. After a few kicks, he suddenly felt his feet lighten—somehow, he had torn off the arms that were holding his feet!

He cried out and quickly got up, retreating a few steps. He saw that the five naked male corpses' heads were now covered in black spots, spreading and merging, and their bodies were swelling with fist-sized tumors. Their bones creaked, and their flesh was rotting, turning into putrid flesh and liquid wherever there was blood!

It happened so fast!

Another ghostly corpse tried to get up and chase him, but after a few steps, its flesh and blood fell off its bones, landing on the ground like mud.

They collapsed into piles of rotting flesh and bones.

Zhenbao breathed a sigh of relief, feeling a bit more at ease. He turned to face Shihu Yin—though he couldn't see her face, he somehow sensed her fear...

The four soldiers, having escaped death, didn't care about Zhenbao. They quickly rolled off the ground and fled, their cries and wails echoing in the night.

Shihu Yin, one of the nine great evil spirits, relied on her extraordinary charm and sexual allure to seduce people, which was ineffective against the inexperienced Zhenbao. Her second tactic was to create illusions that stimulated the five senses, causing delusions and traps, but Zhenbao could see through them...

With her minions defeated by Zhenbao's blood, what else could she do?

Shihu Yin floated in the air, realizing that the newcomer had a strange power she could not resist. She let out a mournful cry and transformed into a black mist, rushing out through a hole in the inn, leaving a fierce curse in the air:

"You dirty scoundrel! I can't deal with you today, but I won't let it go. One day..."

The sound of her curse faded into the distance, and the faint howls echoed in the night sky.

Zhenbao was stunned, not knowing what to do. As he hesitated, Tianwu suddenly called out, "Chase her! She's trying to escape! Don't let her get away!"

Zhenbao, hearing Tianwu's urgent call, immediately chased after her. He saw Shihu Yin flying toward the back of the inn and ran after her without delay.

Just as he reached the edge of the corpse pit, he saw Shihu Yin stop.

On a large rock nearby, an old man stood.

The old man looked ordinary, wearing a gray robe and a bamboo hat, with a rope tied around his legs and a burlap bag on his back. His hair and beard were white, and his face was deeply lined, with dim eyes—yet, standing on the rock, he exuded an overwhelming and unstoppable aura!

Shihu Yin, standing less than ten feet away, was frozen in place, not daring to move!

Zhenbao felt a chill and knew the old man was no ordinary person. He slowed his steps and approached cautiously. The old man's eyes swept over him, and he turned back, not saying much, but forming a sword finger.

"Heaven, Earth, Thunder, Wind, Water, Fire, Mountain, and Lake, the gate of life is closed, the gate of death is open—Seize!"

As he spoke, an object was thrown into the air.

A few simple words, neither a spell nor a chant, seemed ordinary, but as soon as they were spoken, a round light appeared in the sky, centered on the old man, shooting out in all directions!

"You—!" Shihu Yin let out a mournful cry, unable to finish her sentence as the light enveloped her. The light suddenly intensified, and she was sucked into the object in the air.

Thud!

The object landed in the old man's hand, revealing—

A green, rusted ancient coin!

The old man took a string of coins from his waist, added the ancient coin to it, and tied it back around his waist.

Was Shihu Yin so easily subdued? Zhenbao had many questions and quickly asked Tianwu, but the latter was strangely silent, ignoring him.

Before Zhenbao could think it through, the old man suddenly spread his arms and leaped down from the rock, standing on the ground and smiling at him, "Child, you did well!"

"Huh?" Zhenbao was even more confused. (To be continued)
