1. Veteran Transmigrator
Epic Seven is a collectible mobile RPG, but it's a game with a grand world view that puts considerable effort into its story. In a nutshell, there's a goddess who tries to protect the world and her avatar, and a demon god sent by the opposing force. Due to their constant battles, the world is repeatedly devastated. The inevitable destruction. Each time, the goddess sacrifices her life to revive the world, only for the fighting to repeat again. The current setting is the 7th world, which has been revived after the 6th world's destruction. Hence, Epic 'Seven.' While I've summarized it quite briefly, that's the gist of it. As befits a collectible mobile game, the story is straightforward. The protagonist, Las Elclair, who is the goddess's avatar (?), follows the story, gathering companions and overcoming crises to defeat the demon god. "No problem." I instinctively judged as much. The face I saw reflected in that scrap of metal had nothing to do with the protagonist or the surrounding characters. This means that the world would be saved on its own even if I quietly hitched a ride, and there would be no role for me in it. "This is perfect." I could probably live a second life without much trouble as long as I didn't get involved with the protagonist's party. As I was thinking, "I want to check the character information window," the corpse of Ankara in front of me disappeared, leaving a translucent blue sphere in its place. "Is this a drop item? A gem?" When I picked up the object, which shimmered like a water droplet, my slightly distorted reflection appeared on its surface. At that moment, one of my eyes turned red, and I felt a tingling sensation around it, followed by a system window floating in front of me, much like in a virtual reality game. Gender: Male Age: 18 Occupation: ??? Combat Stats: 129 ① Descendant of the Mine Hunter ② Lazy Cynic Ashgreen Clan Secret Technique (S) (Exclusive): ★☆☆☆☆ Time of Hunting (A): ★☆☆☆ Prey Registration (B): ★☆☆ Development Note (F) (Exclusive): ★ A status window, reminiscent of those seen in web novels or webtoons, appeared before me. It listed the information and abilities of the body I had transmigrated into. However, something was off. Hold on. Russell? Russell Ashgreen? This character is not a hero in the Epic Seven game. Moreover, the form of the status window was completely different from the game; there wasn't even an equipment window. "What the hell is this?" I reaffirmed. This is not the Epic Seven game I knew. There is no character named Russell in Epic Seven, not even as an extra, and it doesn't use terms like "powers." Russell Ashgreen. Descendant of the Mine Hunter. "Could this be...?" Once it came to mind, the name became increasingly vivid in my memory. It was a name I had seen in a novel that reconstructed the game's world view. A mishmash of harem, academy, mecha suits, munchkin, and mistaken identity, a potpourri of all sorts of elements. An amateur writer's rough draft, embarrassing to call a work. "Master of the Academy's Mecha Weapons" And I... was the author of that implausible novel. Oh.
