The bright sunshine illuminated the earth, bringing a touch of warmth to the people living on it. Early-rising birds chirped and bustled about, either preparing food for the winter or busily repairing their nests to avoid the cold and hunger when winter came. The plants on the mountain began to wither, especially the yellow locust trees, whose light yellow leaves hung from the branches. A gentle breeze blew, and the yellow leaves danced in the wind, eventually falling to the ground, covering it with a golden carpet.

Wang Yong got up in the morning and casually boiled a bag of instant noodles for breakfast. In the provincial capital, his mornings were spent buying a pancake from a street vendor or, if time permitted, a bowl of tofu pudding and two fried dough sticks from a street breakfast stall. Of course, if time didn't allow, he often went to work on an empty stomach. However, back in his hometown, there were no breakfast stalls, so he had to fend for himself.

After finishing his meal and washing the dishes, Wang Yong prepared to go up the mountain to check on the growth of the fruits in the orchard. After all, these fruit trees were the only source of substantial income for him in the near future. The giant greenhouse he planned to build would cost 40 million yuan! The pressure was immense!

Wang Yong walked up the mountain at a steady pace. If there were people around, they would notice that each step he took was the same distance. With one step, he covered a distance of about three meters. This was a basic cultivation technique called the "Flying Leap Technique" that Wang Yong had discovered in his memory the previous night. It was similar to the legendary "Shrinking Earth into Inches." Inspired by his former martial arts dreams, Wang Yong threw himself into the cultivation of the Flying Leap Technique with unprecedented energy. In the small world, he easily reached the intermediate stage, able to fly about 150 kilometers per hour at a height of three to four meters. However, outside, he could only manage the basic level, which allowed him to walk a bit faster but not fly. Without a guide, Wang Yong was puzzled and couldn't help but complain about the irresponsible cultivator who had left the message. At least he should have explained the basics!

Soon, Wang Yong arrived at the edge of the orchard. The jujubes and chestnuts were ready for harvest, and he was waiting for a call from the friend of Manager Li. To be honest, as a poor man, Wang Yong had never heard of fruit selling for over a hundred yuan per kilogram, let alone seen it. His fruits were of exceptional quality due to the genetic modification solution he had sprayed on them. But how could other fruits sell for over a hundred yuan per kilogram? He didn't understand, but he didn't dwell on it. Wang Yong always believed that there would always be a way out, and a living person wouldn't be starved to death. There was no need to be too serious about everything.

On the mountain, over fifty jujube trees were laden with bright red jujubes, looking like a sea of fire from a distance, a magnificent sight. Wang Yong's heart was filled with excitement. His uncle and grandfather had said that these jujube trees would yield at least 5,000 kilograms of jujubes this year, which would be worth 600,000 yuan at 140 yuan per kilogram. Having lived a poor life, Wang Yong had never imagined that just a few dozen jujube trees could provide a life far better than the average person's. All of this came from that strange encounter, which had changed the course of his life. Now, Wang Yong was no longer content with just not worrying about money; he had higher aspirations.

As he thought about the past, he arrived at the chicken farm. The half-grown chicks, seeing Wang Yong, rushed over in a flurry. In their simple minds, someone coming over meant it was time to be fed. The chirping was deafening, and Wang Yong hurried to the house to fetch a bag of corn and pour it into the feeding trough. As soon as he did, the chicks crowded around, leaving no space. The chicks outside were not happy and used various methods to get a spot. Some ran a few steps and flew over to the feeding trough, forcefully claiming a place. Others pushed from behind, trying to squeeze in, but this method often failed. Some aggressive and strong chicks pecked and scratched their way in, while others outside chirped anxiously. A few clever chicks ran to Wang Yong, circling him and pecking at his pants and shoes, as if saying, "I'm hungry, give me food!"

Wang Yong returned to the house and brought another bag of corn, this time scattering it on the ground as he walked, so more chicks could eat. Wherever he scattered the corn, a group of chicks would rush over, flapping their wings. When the bag was empty, Wang Yong finally managed to shake off the few chicks that had been following him.

Hmm? Is that possible? Wang Yong rubbed his eyes and looked closely. In a patch of wild grass, he found a few eggs with a golden hue. Wang Yong was stunned. Could the chickens be laying eggs so soon? He soon realized that it wasn't just early; the eggs were actually golden. This wasn't a fairy tale; the golden eggs were right in front of him.

Wang Yong rushed over, and in his excitement, the basic level of the Flying Leap Technique performed beyond its usual capacity, allowing him to cover five or six meters in one step. He gently picked up an egg and examined it closely. The color of the egg was similar to the gold he had sold before, just a bit lighter, a pale golden yellow. From a distance, it might look like a golden egg, but up close, it was clear that it wasn't gold, as gold is much heavier. The egg was about the same size as a regular egg, and Wang Yong estimated it weighed about two ounces.

With a mix of surprise, Wang Yong walked around the chicken farm and found seven nests, each containing at least five eggs, with the most having eleven eggs. He left one or two eggs in each nest to encourage the chickens to continue laying there. Chickens are protective of their eggs, and if all the eggs are taken, they might find a new place to lay. After a thorough search, Wang Yong collected 46 eggs.

This was the first time he had so many eggs, and he expected more in the future. He needed to find a suitable buyer. Eggs have a shelf life of about ten to fifteen days, so he decided to call Da Wei. After a moment, Da Wei answered.

"What are you up to? It took you so long to answer."

"Nothing, I just had a fight with my master and the hotel's vice president. They were trying to pass off ordinary dishes as your special dishes!" Da Wei said angrily.

"Oh, what happened? What do you think?" Wang Yong suddenly remembered his super greenhouse eco-restaurant. If he could bring Da Wei on board, he wouldn't need to find a chef.

"My master can't stand their behavior and is planning to quit. I'm going to leave with him, but the general manager hasn't approved it yet. He's trying to persuade my master. By the way, why did you call?"

"Ha, the chickens in the chicken farm have started laying eggs. I was wondering if you could take them. I didn't expect you to be quitting, so I'll find someone else, I guess."

"Don't! Even if I leave, you can still talk to Li Dongsheng, the manager. He speaks highly of you. Besides, the hotel is starting to gain a reputation thanks to your dishes. He'll definitely give you the face. Just talk to him directly!"

"Maybe, but I don't need to worry about selling these eggs. Let me tell you, the chickens in my farm are laying golden eggs, real golden eggs! Just by their golden color, they can be sold at a high price anywhere."

"What? Golden eggs? You think this is a fairy tale? Golden eggs, come on!" Da Wei clearly didn't believe him. How could there be golden eggs? He had traveled far and wide with his master and had seen many things, but golden eggs were only in stories, not in real life.

"Ha, that's why I'm so amazing!"

"Really? Golden eggs?" Da Wei asked in surprise.

"Come and see for yourself. Forget about that, what are your plans after you quit?" Wang Yong asked.

"I don't know. I'll follow my master wherever he goes." Da Wei said somewhat dejectedly. He had a crush on the hotel's assistant manager, and after some time, she had agreed to date him. This situation might change her mind about leaving with him.

"Hey, why don't you come home? I'm planning a big project. I'm going to invest 40 million yuan in a super greenhouse eco-restaurant. How about you come and manage it for me?"

"What? 40 million yuan? Where did you get that much money?"

"I have my ways. Are you in or out? Don't dilly-dally."

"Wow! You've really made it big. I'm in, but I need to talk to my master. He taught me everything I know and treats me like his own son. I can't leave him."

"Alright, you decide. I hereby appoint Da Wei as the general manager of the Half Mountain Eco-Restaurant. You're in charge of everything except the money. If you can bring your master on board, I'll give him a 5% share. The restaurant will be run by you and your master."

"What about me? How much share will I get?" Da Wei asked eagerly.

"Who are we to each other? What's mine is yours, and what's yours is mine. What's the point of shares? How vulgar!" Wang Yong joked. He had already decided to give Da Wei a 10% share if he came to help. He believed that with the vegetables grown with the spirit spring water, this 10% share would be much more valuable than what Da Wei could earn at the hotel.

"Wait for my reply. I'll talk to my master first. I'll get back to you." Da Wei hung up.

Shortly after, the hotel's procurement manager, Li Jigang, called.

"Wang Yong, why didn't you tell me about the good stuff? I'm coming to your place in a few days, and I expect those golden eggs to be ready. Got it? I'm hanging up."

He didn't give Wang Yong a chance to respond and hung up. Wang Yong smiled helplessly. Li Jigang had helped him sell the jujubes at a high price, so he had to give him some face. He just didn't know how many eggs he could provide, as the chickens had just started laying.
