Huoren didn’t wake up at all, and his brain still wasn’t working properly.

His partner led him to the bus, where there was a teacher assistant at the door helping to distribute the breakfast bags.

He was sleepy and wanted to keep sleeping for a while, but when he smelled that aroma, he became hungry.

The bags contained milk, a McDonald’s pork burger with egg, and half a hot, smoky corn.

The last time Huoren ate at McDonald’s was on his birthday and his memory has been blurred ever since.

Carefully, he removed the wrapping paper, where droplets of water were dripping, fearing that the burger would hit the floor.

Next to him, there were students joking with the teacher assistant: “Teacher, aren’t you afraid that we’ll get fat after eating this?”

The teacher assistant hit him on the head with a smile: “We have already calculated the calories. You can eat it without worrying about that.”

Where the teacher and the trainees were, there was a good atmosphere. He didn’t know who had mentioned it, but they started talking about what kind of idol they wanted to be.

Huoren took a bite of the burger, he was eating the pork and eggs, but was a bit reluctant to swallow it.

Until now, his concept of “idol” had been very vague.

Although he was in an elite company in the entertainment industry, he had limited exposure to and from the industry. It was also very difficult for someone who hasn’t had a successful debut yet to gain this exposure.

The company is enormous. It has posters and stage photos of its most popular artists in the hallway, and the mind-blowing lights combined with the beautiful makeup, made it look unreal.

When Huoren went in, he stood by the wall for a moment, trying to define his future work.

Singing, dancing, shaking hands with fans and signing autographs.

That’s what idols do.

For security reasons, the music festival usually starts at 2:00 p.m., but can continue until midnight.

The trainees were guided inside and led to a small square-shaped space.

As soon as noon came, the sun became very hot. The sound system was everywhere, which made it seem more like a death camp.

Huoren mingled through the crowd, wondering who would come to listen to music in this weather, without even a seat.

When entering the indoor and outdoor field at the same time, many people started running to choose their places, looking like zombies.

Some had neon signs, hats on their heads, and even had a poster in their mouths.

If it weren’t for the railings on their side, they would have been terribly crushed.

What happened next was beyond Huoren’s imagination.

First the lead singer, who was the hot topic of that day, came out and then an unknown band came out to sing.

The moment they played the electric guitar, the hot and humid weather seemed to immediately flare up, and the temperature and atmosphere ignited alongside the midday sun at the same time…

Then everyone started singing out loud. Even if the words on the stereo were barely noticeable and even if no one knew what they were yelling at.

The band started to raise the tension of the crowd sky high before dropping it down at once, and then all the musicians began to freak out The audience trembled with the band, happy to be able to release their own nature.

Huoren had never been to a pub before, so he was immersed in this kind of atmosphere for the first time and he couldn’t recover in the slightest, even in the first ten minutes.

“ENCORE!”

When he regained consciousness, he was already on his toes with everyone else on the railing, singing, following the unknown number of musicians. He was screaming and going left and right, as if something was awakening in his blood.

“ENCORE !!”

The drumsticks flickered like thunder and the sound of the beat seemed to rumble like an explosion. Even the dust stirred.

More people started clapping and cheering. Another singer came over and started dancing and singing alongside a dozen dancers.

When they began to sing slow songs, thousands of people swayed together.

When they started singing fast songs, even the security guards couldn’t stop their movements and started tapping their feet.

It wasn’t until the end of the day that the trainees finally recovered and the teachers took them back to the bus.

At night, they were all sweaty.

Huoren’s heart was pounding as he leaned back and went to the air conditioning.

“Did you like it?” The man sitting next to him laughed and said, “It’s great. I wish I could come here every day. “

Huoren tried to control himself when he drank water slowly, wiped his sweat and said “Were they famous singers?”

Internet is too expensive, for 120 minutes you have to pay 60 coins. His only experience is visiting an online forum in third grade, so he is unfamiliar with the hot topics.

“It’s okay, mainly because the atmosphere is perfect.” The trainee waved his hand.

“It’s a snack festival, it’s level 5 or 6.”

Huoren didn’t understand the meaning of snack, but he thought it was the name of the festival and kept it in his mind.

The acting class is poorly controlled, mainly because there’s a big gap between everyone, and in the first month all you have to do is go out on time and show what you have learned.

Huoren took his free time to focus on the piano, and the next day he even ate lunch in the piano room.

When he returned to the piano room after his dance class, the self-study book, 《Czerny Op.599》, was still in his head.

Time passed little by little and after two days he already knew the fundamentals.

He had no difficulty recognizing the sheet music. As long as his ten fingers were familiar with it, it would eventually be the same as typing on a keyboard.

As he went to the place, he suddenly heard familiar voices chatting and laughing.

Huoren took slow steps as he slowly approached the piano room.

It was Long Ji and Bo Jue playing four-handedly and chatting while playing the piano.

The two people sat at either end of the bench and each one controlled half the keyboard with hand movements that appeared to be accidental.

The high and low notes were intertwined and combined perfectly.

Long Ji played the low, deep and powerful part, and Bo Jue played the high, light and flexible part.

The series of piano notes were mixed and layered several times in a few seconds, and there was nothing wrong with that.

Huoren was at the door with his sheet music in his arms, smiling bitterly for a moment.

While he was in school, the inferiority complex his family had created could be affected by his grades and rankings.

He was pierced to see these prodigies with innate talent reunited.

He turned to leave, but Long Ji saw him through the silhouette of the piano.

“Huoren is here?” He turned to the boy and said, “Come on, let’s play together.”

Bo Jue got up and said with a smile, “Come on, let’s see how much you’ve learned.”

Huoren’s footsteps stopped for a moment, and he said in a low voice, “I don’t play well, I’ve just started learning.”

Bo Jue walked over to his side, and half-jokingly pressed him against Long Ji’s left hand, knocking his forehead with his knuckles, “If you’re not good, you have to practice.”

“In fact, the whole is quite simple.” Long Ji smiled enthusiastically, “Have you ever heard of 《The castle in the sky》?”

Huoren nodded.

“Look at these three notes,” Long Ji said extending his left hand to show him where it was placed. “LA, MI, DO.”

“If you play a verse with your right hand, you’ll miss a syllable, ‘LA, MI, DO’ and then ‘SOL, FA, RE’, do you want to try it?”

Huoren’s left hand was in the previous position and he looked at his right hand.

The left-hand notes follow the rhythm of each turn as the music plays.

After playing three notes, one note is lost and then another three are added.

It was their first time playing together, but the sound of the instrument was intermingled and mixed like a poker deck, as if the hands of the same person were playing together.

When they finished, Long Ji laughed and rubbed his head: “How well you’ve done, you’re good at playing the piano!”

Bo Jue took his hand and said “Get up, I’ll teach you.”

Long Ji looked at him and with funny eyes: “You are not as good as me at teaching, you are too academic.”

“What’s wrong with the academy?” Bo Jue stared at him and handed Long Ji the book of 《Czerny Op.599》. “Come on, go.”

Huoren, surrounded by the two of them, was nervous and serious about the song he had practiced for the past two days, playing it all at once.

Bo Jue was silent for a while after hearing it, and then turned to look at Long Ji and said, “Do you dare to believe it? He has only studied for three days.”

He answered curiously, “Really?”

Bo Jue had a poisonous mouth, but he turned around to find the piano sheet music and handed it to him, and also took a piece of paper to give him a reading.

After this class ended, Long Ji was very cooperative and clapped, “Teacher Bo is very good.”

Bo Jue took a sip of lemonade and suddenly remembered something: “Do you two happen to know each other?”

“Yes. We went through the preliminary elimination together.” Long Ji squeezed to Huoren’s left and forced three people to sit on the stool: “Huoren, let me introduce him to you, this is our group A flower.”

“Who is a flower?”

“I, I am the flower,” Long Ji coughed: “It turned out that I became his stretching partner, abusing him and making him scream every day.”

Huoren was a bit surprised: “Didn’t you do jumping rope?”

“Jumping rope?”

Huoren told them about Pei Ruye and said sincerely: “Our group works two hours a day and he often came to play on his mobile phone.”

“… That’s the humanity of an assistant.”

Waiting for Long Ji and Bo Jue to leave one after the other, Huoren practiced the piano until evening and ran to go to singing class.

The singing teacher is a teacher in his forties, he usually resonates when he speaks and his voice is very loud.

You could choose the repertoire of your performance. Everyone took turns singing on stage. After singing, they accepted Master Zhong’s comment and explanation.

“This little student named Huoren, you are very interesting.”

Master Zhong turned the scoreboard over and said, “Last time I said you were short of breath and your voice was wrong. If I say you should change, you changed. Today, you really haven’t had any problems. You will change it, you will change everything. “

Huoren nodded cautiously, bowed, and prepared to retreat.

“Don’t rush”. The man lowered his head and wrote a point: “Boy, your strengths and weaknesses are obvious.”

“Good knowledge and unique voice, practice more to broaden your range. The molded voice will protect your voice. It will definitely sound good in the future.”1

“But,” Master Zhong raised his head and said meaningfully, “You sing without any emotion. No matter how good your skills are, you can only make it to the top 20. If you sing without emotion, you will never be in a group.”

Late as alwayssss. I already had this chapter since october, I think? But the reason I’m not uploading anymore it’s because my editor had to leave me, but no one else wanted to be my editor. Fortunately, I’ve got one now (yay!) and btw,

TYSM to ExotikInSomnia who edited this chapter back in October (ty again~).
