Chapter 018: Getting Used to Eating

After finishing these tasks, Lin Yi started to prepare the broth. In reality, it's not possible for a household to prepare a large pot of broth like a restaurant and keep it for daily use. "Done, I was just about to call you to eat." Lin Yi took off his apron and hung it to the side.

"Yay, you used Yao Yao's apron, don't let her know!" Chen Yushu looked at the apron on the wall and said, "Since you cooked for me, I won't tell her."

"Hmm?" Lin Yi was a bit puzzled. When did Chen Yushu become so kind-hearted? But then he thought about it and realized that Chen Yushu's heart was really very bad. "No," Chen Yushu shook her head, "Go get me a glass of water."

"Don't you have drinks behind you?" Lin Yi pointed to the refrigerator behind Chen Yushu and then served himself another bowl of noodles.

"It's not good to drink fruit juice in the morning. Drinking plain water is healthier... Why do you talk so much? Are you going to get it or not?" Chen Yushu glared at him, impatient.

"Alright..." Lin Yi put the bowl of noodles on the table and then went to the living room to get water for Chen Yushu. There was nothing he could do; after all, she had something on him.

"Where is your cup?" Halfway there, Lin Yi realized he hadn't seen Chen Yushu's cup and didn't know what to use to pour the water.

"Oh, it's in the cabinet under the water dispenser. The pink one is mine," Chen Yushu said.

Lin Yi nodded and walked to the water dispenser.

"Ah—so sleepy, that annoying alarm clock." Chu Mengyao yawned and groggily came down the stairs. She hadn't slept well all night, thinking about losing her first kiss and crying to Chen Yushu for half the night. Eventually, she was so tired that she fell asleep. When she woke up, she wasn't as sad about yesterday's events.

However, Chu Mengyao felt like she had only slept for a short time before the alarm clock woke her up. She didn't want to get up, but she had to go to school, so she had to get up.

Noticing that Chen Yushu wasn't beside her, Chu Mengyao was puzzled. She had been talking to her all night, and it seemed Chen Yushu had gone to bed late too. How could she have gotten up so early?

Coming downstairs, she suddenly smelled the aroma of food. Chu Mengyao hadn't eaten much the night before and had vomited everything she had eaten, so her stomach was empty. The smell made her mouth water immediately. "Xiao Shu, what are you eating that smells so good? Why didn't you call me?"

Chu Mengyao ran to the dining room and saw Chen Yushu eating a bowl of noodles. Across from her was a full bowl of steaming hot noodles. She was delighted, "Ha, I knew you wouldn't forget me. You even prepared a bowl for me. Thank you!"

Chen Yushu was drinking the noodle broth, which she found very flavorful and couldn't bear to miss. Just as she was drinking, she heard Chu Mengyao's words. She wanted to speak but saw that Chen Yushu had already picked up her chopsticks and started eating, "Uh..."

Chen Yushu sighed, wanting to say something but stopping. She thought, "It's not my fault. Why did you eat so quickly? I didn't even get a chance to speak, and you started eating!"

"Really fragrant, so delicious," Chu Mengyao was really hungry. After taking a bite of the Yangchun noodles, she couldn't stop eating. She praised while eating, "Xiao Shu, where did you buy this?"

"I didn't buy it... Arrow Brother made it." Chen Yushu shrugged, looking at Chu Mengyao with sympathy. She couldn't bear to hurt Chu Mengyao's already fragile heart any more.

"Ah!" Chu Mengyao was shocked, "He made it? I don't want to eat anything he made..." She put down her chopsticks.

Chen Yushu thought, "You've already eaten it. What's the point of saying you won't eat it now? But since you already ate Lin Yi's saliva yesterday, it doesn't matter today. You'll get used to it... hehe," Chen Yushu thought evilly.

"Hmph, who would refuse food? I'll eat it!" After putting down her chopsticks, Chu Mengyao felt her mouth watering. Looking at the fragrant noodles in front of her, she couldn't resist and picked up her chopsticks again, "Eating his food doesn't mean I forgive him. I just didn't eat anything last night and am hungry. Actually, these noodles are just okay, right, Xiao Shu?"

"Uh, yeah..." Chen Yushu really wanted to see how Chu Mengyao would react when she found out she had eaten Lin Yi's saliva again, but she felt that Chu Mengyao was already pitiful enough and decided not to say anything.
