Chapter 3

Ye Qiu came out of Bai Bing's office, feeling so wronged that he wanted to cry. Guo Shaocong not only took away Zhang Lili but also framed him together with her. The most critical part was that Bai Bing actually believed them and made him work as a caregiver.

What is a caregiver?

To put it bluntly, it's a nanny.

His daily tasks would be to wash the patient's face, feet, feed them, clean their body, wash clothes, and take care of their toileting...

I am a top student from a medical school; if I do these things, wouldn't the five years of medical education be in vain?

The scar on Guo Shaocong's nose was very obvious, a result of the earlier incident at Zhang Lili's apartment where Ye Qiu had hit him.

What a narrow escape!

Ye Qiu instinctively wanted to step out, not wanting to share the elevator with this despicable couple, but Guo Shaocong laughed maliciously: "Oh, isn't this Caregiver Ye? What a coincidence!"

Zhang Lili glanced at Ye Qiu with disdain: "Why do I keep running into you everywhere? Bad luck!"

Ye Qiu chose to ignore them; he had nothing to say to this despicable couple.

Little did he know, his indifference infuriated Guo Shaocong.

"Ye Qiu, I won't let this go so easily," Guo Shaocong said. "Today, you were lucky that that bitch Bai Bing protected you, or you would have been kicked out of the hospital long ago. Even as a caregiver, you wouldn't have a chance."

"What does this have to do with Director Bai?" Ye Qiu asked.

"Hmph, if it weren't for Bai Bing's solemn promise to the medical department, saying she would take full responsibility if you caused any more trouble, do you think the medical department would let it go?"

"I just don't understand, what's the relationship between you and Bai Bing? Why does she protect you so much?"

Guo Shaocong curiously asked Ye Qiu, "Do you have something going on with Bai Bing?"

"None of your business!"

"You—!" Guo Shaocong raised his fist, ready to hit Ye Qiu.

"Don't be impulsive." Zhang Lili quickly pulled Guo Shaocong back, whispering, "There are cameras in the elevator. If you're caught, you'll be in trouble."

Guo Shaocong retracted his fist and coldly said, "Ye Qiu, as long as you stay in the hospital, I can ruin you."

Ye Qiu ignored Guo Shaocong, his mind preoccupied with other thoughts.

"It seems I misunderstood Director Bai. If she hadn't protected me, I would have been kicked out of the hospital long ago."

Ye Qiu felt a warmth in his heart.

Seeing that Ye Qiu had no reaction, Guo Shaocong's eyes darted around and asked Zhang Lili, "How did you ever fall for this waste of space?"

"Blind, I guess!"

"True, if you weren't blind, how could you have fallen for this waste of space. Lili, that erotic hotel we went to last time was great. Let's go there again!"

Their conversation became increasingly explicit.

Ye Qiu's anger flared up. This despicable couple was clearly trying to provoke him by talking like this in front of him.

The elevator reached the first floor, and they stepped out into the hospital lobby.

The lobby was crowded with people queuing to register, pick up medicine, and pay fees...

Guo Shaocong glanced at Ye Qiu coldly, thinking, "I'll see how long you can hold out."

Ye Qiu also noticed Guo Shaocong's gaze, sensing something was wrong, and quickened his pace to leave quickly.

"Caregiver Ye, don't be in such a hurry to leave!" Guo Shaocong blocked Ye Qiu's path with a smile.

"What do you want?" Ye Qiu asked guardedly.

"You'll find out soon enough." Guo Shaocong laughed sinisterly and then loudly said, "Everyone, look this way. I have someone to introduce to you."

Immediately, many people were drawn by Guo Shaocong's voice and looked over.

Guo Shaocong pointed at Ye Qiu and said to everyone, "His name is Ye Qiu. He is a probationary doctor at our hospital, but he has a twisted mind. He copied my medical records and even attacked me when I caught him."

"Did you see the scar on my nose? He did that."

"Now he has been demoted to a caregiver. Everyone, remember his face. When you need a caregiver, don't choose him. If you get hurt, don't blame me for not warning you!"

The patients and their families in the lobby, unaware of the true situation, began to curse after hearing Guo Shaocong's words:

"Jiangzhou Hospital is a top-tier hospital. How can it hire such a person!"

The entire lobby was in an uproar.
