Chen Yushu hurriedly followed behind Chu Mengyao, made a face at Lin Yi, glared at him, and then rushed upstairs.

"Is it really such a big deal?" Lin Yi shook his head, looking at the delicious food on the table. He thought to himself that it seemed they wouldn't be coming down to eat, so all of this should be his. Thus, Lin Yi picked up his chopsticks and started eating, quickly clearing the four dishes and one soup on the table...

Chu Mengyao returned to her room and fell onto the bed. She felt very tragic and wronged. Why did this happen? How could she lose her first kiss like this? It would have been better if it was with a handsome boy, but it had to be Lin Yi, the country bumpkin, the rustic fool!

"Xiao Shu, why am I so unlucky!" Chu Mengyao couldn't help but cry out in frustration. Earlier, with Lin Yi around, she didn't want to make a scene, so she had held back her emotions, even though tears had streamed down her face, she hadn't made a sound. Now that it was just her and Chen Yushu, she didn't care anymore.

"Alright, Mengyao, don't be sad. It was just an indirect kiss, not a direct mouth-to-mouth one. He didn't get any advantage either!" Chen Yushu thought to herself, at most you tasted a bit of his saliva, he didn't get any of yours!

Chen Yushu's words only made Chu Mengyao feel more wronged. If it had been a real kiss, she might have accepted it, but now she had suffered a loss without any benefit. Lin Yi didn't gain anything and wouldn't feel guilty, while she could only consider herself unlucky!

"No, I've made up my mind. Tomorrow I'll tell Dad that either I stay or he does, but not both!" Chu Mengyao said angrily, "I must..."

Chu Mengyao had cried herself out, complained for a while, and then fell into a daze. Chen Yushu shook her head, lay down beside her, and thought to herself, it's just a bit of saliva, no big deal, it's not like she'll get pregnant. Is it really that serious?

...

After finishing his meal, Lin Yi braced himself for a scolding. There was no way around it; his status was low. In the old days, he would have been a servant, and if he displeased the young miss, he might have faced severe punishment.

However, after waiting for a long time, no one came down. Lin Yi tidied up the table and returned to his room. It was already past nine, and Chu Mengyao and the others had probably already gone to sleep and wouldn't be coming down.

After washing his face and brushing his teeth, Lin Yi locked the door and sat on the bed, starting to practice the Xuanyuan Yulong Technique. This martial art had a unique origin; he had discovered it in a cave.

He remembered that when he was eight years old, on a full moon night, the old man called Lin Yi to the top of Xixing Mountain to test his recent progress.

Lin Yi didn't understand why the old man called him to the mountain top in the middle of the night to test his skills, but under the old man's usual strictness, he obediently went up the mountain with him.

However, after just two moves, Lin Yi realized something was wrong! The old man wasn't testing him; he was trying to kill him! Just as Lin Yi was about to say something, he felt a powerful force hit his buttocks, and the old man kicked him down the mountain.

Lin Yi felt the wind rushing past his ears as he flew through the air like Ultraman in an anime. After a long time, he landed with a heavy thud!

Lin Yi felt as if his bones were about to fall apart. Although the old man had been using herbal baths to improve his body and constitution since he was three, falling from such a height still left him dazed and unconscious.

Watching Lin Yi fall, the old man shook his head and sighed, "Little Yi, it's not that I'm heartless, but this opportunity can't be missed. The cave entrance only opens once every five years on the Mid-Autumn Festival full moon night. If you miss this chance, you'll miss the best age for cultivation..."

After an unknown amount of time, Lin Yi slowly regained consciousness. He first cursed the old man for his lack of kindness, then got up. There was no point in cursing now, so Lin Yi checked his body and, finding no serious injuries, stood up.

However, the scene before him shocked Lin Yi! In front of him was a massive, ancient-looking cave entrance with a grand and imposing presence! The red paint shimmered in the moonlight, and the golden door rings glowed brilliantly!

It was like something out of a myth, a place where immortals resided! Above the massive door was a plaque with four large characters: "Xuanyuan Cave."

Where was this place? Lin Yi's breathing quickened. He had lived on Xixing Mountain for many years but had never heard of such a place at the base of the mountain!

Although Lin Yi didn't know why he had stumbled here, and why the old man had kicked him right to the cave entrance, he felt a sense of familiarity, as if he had been here in a dream before!

However, no matter how hard he tried, Lin Yi couldn't remember when he had been here. He stood still and subconsciously walked toward the cave entrance, as if drawn by some unseen force.

When he reached the cave entrance, Lin Yi instinctively pushed the door, but it didn't budge. He frowned and tried to pull it, but the door remained immobile.

Just as Lin Yi was about to give up and turn away, something strange happened! The previously closed cave door slowly opened!

Lin Yi was startled and thought someone was coming out, so he quickly moved to the side, his eyes fixed on the entrance! However, after waiting for a while, no one came out of the cave. Instead, Lin Yi could see clearly inside the cave!

It was a vast hall, without any lights, yet it was as bright as day. He didn't know what was causing the brilliant light that illuminated the entire hall!

The incredible sight left Lin Yi with his mouth agape. No words could describe his amazement! After confirming that there were no living beings in the hall, Lin Yi cautiously approached the open stone door.

With each step, Lin Yi looked around vigilantly, only continuing forward after ensuring there was no danger. But that was because he was young and curious back then. If it were the current Lin Yi, he might not have been so impulsive.

However, if it weren't for Lin Yi's curiosity and impulsiveness back then, he wouldn't have had the subsequent fortuitous encounter.
