The next morning, when Ji Feng arrived at the restaurant downstairs, the four people indeed noticed that he had changed his clothes, even his shoes were not the same as yesterday's. They exchanged glances and nodded secretly.
The man in front of them was either really problematic or a rich wastrel. Otherwise, how could he have changed into such an outfit without bringing any luggage? He must have bought it last night.
However, the four people quickly dismissed this thought because the clothes Ji Feng was wearing were clearly old, not too new, and didn't look particularly expensive—just ordinary clothes worth a few hundred yuan. He didn't seem to be very wealthy. But if he wasn't, how could he be wearing a Patek Philippe watch worth 400 million Korean won? This was something that Kwon Yoo Ri had specifically looked up online and shown to the three of them last night, which had shocked them. They hadn't expected Ji Feng to be so wealthy.
Noticing the somewhat strange looks from the four people, Ji Feng looked himself over and then raised his head, asking, "What's wrong? Is there a problem with my clothes?" At that moment, Ji Feng was wearing a light blue long-sleeved T-shirt and a pair of ordinary jeans, with a pair of white and blue sneakers.
Choi Soo Young hurriedly smiled and said, "No problem, you just look even more handsome. Can't we indulge in a little fangirling?"
Ji Feng shook his head, somewhat amused and exasperated. After having breakfast with the group, he went to the parking lot downstairs with Seo Hyun, while the other three went straight back home.
However, Ji Feng didn't know that the three girls had secretly looked down on him. A man who could afford a 400 million Korean won watch was wearing clothes that probably cost less than 1,000 yuan in total. They couldn't tell if he was being low-key or just had a unique personality.
The two of them had a very pleasant time over the next two days. Seo Hyun took Ji Feng all around Jeju Island, enjoying the beautiful scenery, delicious food, and the simple and honest people, which made Ji Feng extremely satisfied. Of course, it would have been even more perfect if the two bodyguards hadn't been following them, but Ji Feng understood their job and was fine with them tagging along.
Ji Feng even occasionally listened to Seo Hyun's suggestions, as Jeju Island also had its imperfections. To turn it into a dream home, there were many areas that needed improvement.
This was Ji Feng's first visit to Jeju Island. He had only learned about it online before. He had originally thought that he might not be able to travel around the island without knowing English, but upon arriving, he realized he was wrong. The English proficiency on the island was quite high, possibly due to the large number of foreigners. The English environment on the island was very good.
Especially after the completion of the Education City project, half of the island's population spoke English. Only the native residents and ordinary tourists from Korea spoke Korean.
You could see people from almost any country here, especially from East Asia, such as Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, and even India. This was despite a 5% decrease due to the island negotiations; otherwise, there would have been even more people.
Despite having several billion dollars in cash, Ji Feng still felt it was a drop in the bucket. Just the infrastructure construction would cost at least a third of it. The most important thing was a modern, safe, and pollution-free power plant. This was a major expense, and electricity and communication could never be controlled by others. Currently, Jeju Island received power from Korea through an underwater cable, but with the ongoing negotiations, even if it were given to him in the future, he would still be at the mercy of others. Therefore, the first priority was to solve the power issue.
Although there were some wind power stations on the island, they were too small. Although Jeju Island had a lot of wind throughout the year, relying solely on wind power was still insufficient to meet the growing power demand due to the island's prosperity.
Ji Feng noted this issue and wrote down several other problems, planning to find a team to solve them later. Many of these were future issues for the island government, and Ji Feng was just raising them. What he really wanted were the ranch and the fishery. As for the land for cultivation, he would leave it to the farmers since most of the arable land was already in their hands, and he didn't want to forcibly take it back.
When they returned to Lotte, Ji Feng pulled Seo Hyun into the duty-free area. After browsing for a while, he finally found the Louis Vuitton (LV) specialty area and smiled, saying, "Hyun, I don't know much about bags, so you pick one. I'll buy it for you as compensation."
During the day's activities, Seo Hyun's LV bag had been scratched with a two-centimeter-long cut, and she had looked like she was about to cry. This had puzzled Ji Feng, but he didn't ask and only said he would compensate her.
Seo Hyun quickly waved her hands, "No, really, I can still use it. I'll just get it repaired when we get back."
Ji Feng smiled and pulled Seo Hyun's hand, leading her into the specialty area and directly asked the saleswoman, "Miss, recommend a bag that suits my friend."
Seo Hyun tried to refuse again, but the saleswoman had a keen eye and, upon seeing the Patek Philippe on Ji Feng's wrist, quickly led them to the high-end area and began introducing several bags.
Without hesitation, Ji Feng picked up each bag and placed them in Seo Hyun's hands for her to try. In the end, Ji Feng chose a bag priced at 15,800 yuan, which was also Seo Hyun's favorite. Only this one made her eyes light up with reluctance, while the others, even the more expensive ones, didn't catch her attention.
"Miss, please charge this one," Ji Feng said, taking out his credit card and handing it to the saleswoman. It was an international free city, and UnionPay cards were accepted everywhere. He also noticed that the number of Chinese people here was second only to the number of Koreans.
Ji Feng even saw several villas and apartments in the resort area with Chinese signs, and it seemed that many people had already moved in.
Seo Hyun, feeling both happy and a bit embarrassed, said, "You really didn't have to. Thank you."
Seeing Seo Hyun's smile, Ji Feng felt happy and laughed, "Your bag was damaged because you were with me, so you don't need to be so formal. Are you really going to Seoul tomorrow?"
Seo Hyun nodded slightly, "Yes, it's almost the end of the year, and our schedule is packed. I'm lucky to have taken two days off."
Ji Feng frowned slightly, concerned, "Make sure to get enough rest. Even with a busy schedule, you should get at least eight hours of sleep each night. Lack of sleep is bad for your skin."
Seo Hyun smiled bitterly, "We know, but that's how the company schedules it, and we can't do anything about it. We signed the contract, but we're still young and full of energy."
Ji Feng nodded in agreement. Being young was true, but there was no need to push too hard. Money was enough to live on, and earning more didn't matter much. You can't take it with you when you die. If it weren't for the inheritance from his great-grandfather, he might have just lived a simple life.
As they were talking, Ji Feng suddenly frowned and saw a man outside the LV area looking at them suspiciously. He said, "Wait a moment," and walked over.
The man turned and ran as soon as he saw Ji Feng. Ji Feng immediately knew something was wrong and sped up to chase him. If it weren't for the crowd, he would have caught the man instantly.
But even so, the man didn't get far before Ji Feng grabbed him by the collar. As the man turned to speak, Ji Feng's fist, moving like lightning, struck him in the face.
With a crisp "crack," Ji Feng heard a cry of pain. He had accidentally broken the man's nose.
Seeing Seo Hyun's worried look, he smiled and said, "Wait a moment, I'll be right back. I just need to handle something."
Ji Feng glanced around, ignoring the curious onlookers, and dragged the man into the restroom.
The man, about 1.7 meters tall and not particularly fat but weighing at least 100 kilograms, was lifted by Ji Feng as if he were a chicken and carried into the restroom. The onlookers quickly pretended they hadn't seen anything. Some had even thought about stepping in to help, but after comparing their own strength to Ji Feng's, they decided against it.
Ignoring the man's struggles and pleas, Ji Feng threw him to the ground and asked in English, "What were you doing just now? What did you want to do to us?"
The man shook his head in fear, mumbling in Korean, which Ji Feng didn't understand, but he knew it was Korean.
Since he had spoken in English, the man's response in Korean was clearly a provocation. Ji Feng, angry, kicked the man, who flew a meter into the air and landed several meters away, hitting the wall and crying out in pain.
This time, Ji Feng controlled his strength. Although it looked bad, he didn't break any bones, just caused pain.
"Speak English, not Korean. I don't understand Korean. If you don't tell the truth, I'll make you disappear," Ji Feng said calmly, looking at the man as if he were a rat, ready to crush him with a single step. However, he was just scaring the man. He had fought before but had never considered killing anyone.
The man, not understanding Ji Feng's words, continued to mumble in Korean, but his body language and fearful eyes showed he was begging for mercy.
A few men in the restroom, seeing this, were so scared that they stopped urinating. One of them, in broken English, said to Ji Feng, "Sir, he said he just took a few photos and had no other intentions."
Ji Feng frowned and searched the man, finding a camera and a phone. He took out the SIM card and threw it on the ground, crushing the expensive phone into pieces. The camera met the same fate, but Ji Feng took out the memory card and crushed it separately.
Satisfied, he smiled at the man urinating and said, "Thank you. Tell him not to do this again, or he'll face the consequences." He then washed his hands, hummed a tune, and left.
The man urinating, feeling both amused and exasperated, looked at the unfortunate man, comforted him in Korean, and then left with a shake of his head.
Returning to Seo Hyun, he saw her visibly relax and felt a warm feeling in his heart. He smiled, "Nothing serious, probably a paparazzo. I destroyed the camera, so it shouldn't affect you."
Seo Hyun had done a good job of disguising herself over the past two days and had never been recognized. The bodyguards had been given a break to eat, and they hadn't expected to be recognized here tonight. Ji Feng wasn't sure if this was good luck or bad.
Seo Hyun patted her chest, relieved, and smiled, "Those guys are annoying. We can't stay here any longer, or we might be recognized again."
Seeing that she had received her new bag, Ji Feng took the credit card she handed him, nodded, and left the shopping area with Seo Hyun. They then went to the adjacent food area for a sumptuous dinner, both to thank Seo Hyun for her company and to see her off.
