Chapter 12 of 100
Chapter 12

Without any major issues, we progressed smoothly and reached the 20th floor earlier than scheduled.
We can reach the floor boss in less than ten minutes. The floor boss should be easy to defeat with a guide, so it seems today will end here.
The 10th team has also engaged in combat multiple times up to this point.
I was concerned about the three-person team, but during the guided exploration, I came to believe that a three-person formation is not a problem.
First, Logan.
He excels in the selection, timing, and effectiveness of support magic. Although today's battles in the upper floors ended quickly, making it difficult to judge, if he can maintain this level in prolonged battles, he could genuinely perform well in an A-rank party. His offensive magic also meets the required level for a spellcaster. I can understand why Logan takes such an arrogant attitude; he is truly a genius.
However, his command skills are poor. This is something that requires a lot of combat experience, so I expect it to improve over time.
Next, Caroline.
As she aims to be an evasive defender, she has high agility and can even outmaneuver quick creatures like Horn Rabbits and White Wolves in the upper floors. However, there are some issues.
First, she rushes into battle as soon as she spots a monster. While it's good for a defender to engage in close combat, it seems she fights with the mindset of attacking before being attacked, which is nerve-wracking to watch.
Additionally, she uses two daggers. While they match her nimble movements, in a three-person team where she is the only front-liner, her low attack power is a concern.
Finally, Sophia.
Compared to the other two, she may seem less impressive, but her magic power and casting speed are at a level that surpasses what one would expect from a new recruit.
Due to her personality, she hasn't been very proactive, but this should improve as she gets to know her teammates better.
While she still has a long way to go compared to advanced explorers, as a new recruit, she has no significant flaws and is a promising candidate for future growth.
The 9th team... well, I guess there's hope for the future.
As I was thinking about this, the three guides, excluding Selma and me, defeated the 20th floor boss.
For now, today's exploration is over.
I thought there would be more issues, but there must be some internal agreements within the clan.
Even when faced with situations that required some judgment, no one panicked and they handled them well.
I didn't expect things to go so smoothly. It seems I underestimated the organization called "Silver Hare of the Night Sky."
Still, starting tomorrow, we will enter the middle floors.
The number of floors we will advance will be fewer, but it will definitely be more challenging.
Upon reaching the 21st floor, the new recruits took turns placing their guild cards on the crystal. After that, we all moved back to the surface.
Even though we finished earlier than planned, the sun had already set.
Several of the new recruits, exhausted from the tension, were at their peak of fatigue.
The exploration today was tough for the new recruits.
I really want to lecture the short-sighted noble who came up with this plan.
We moved back to the square where we had gathered in the morning, and there Selma praised the new recruits, marking the end of today's session.
I was a bit tired, so I planned to have a quick dinner and go to bed, but Selma called out to me.
"Orun, how were the new recruits?"
"Well, the 9th team has potential for the future, and the 10th team lived up to your expectations as promising new recruits, but their coordination was completely lacking. Especially Caroline, I must admit I'm quite worried."
"Hahaha... She's much better than she used to be, though."
Selma sighed regretfully. If this is better, what was she like before...
"Anyway, I'll count on you tomorrow."
"Yes, good night."
After parting ways with Selma, I walked through the town to prepare for dinner.
