Chapter 29: Cannibalism

7 min read1,794 words

In the dense forest, Diyalan carried Muyedi on his back, moving through the woods with Shiyen.

Shiyen's face was solemn as he calmly observed the surroundings. Whenever he detected signs of beast activity nearby, he would warn Diyalan in advance to change direction and avoid encountering the beasts.

Time quietly slipped by, and gradually, the bright day turned into a deep night, with a full moon hanging high in the sky.

The forest, originally silent, was occasionally interrupted by heart-stirring roars. Some beasts that preferred to be active at night woke up from their daytime rest and began hunting in the woods.

At night, Shiyen's vision was affected, making it difficult to discern which areas were safe and which were infested with beasts.

Some beasts did not make any sound when hunting at night.

Therefore, areas with beast roars were definitely unsafe, but areas without roars were not necessarily safe and might even be more dangerous!

After three hours of running, both Diyalan and Shiyen were exhausted.

Although they had worked together to kill Tumu in the evening, both had paid a significant price. Diyalan had been drained of much of his essence by Tumu's violent power, and he had been carrying Muyedi without rest, further depleting his strength.

At this point, Diyalan was both physically and mentally exhausted, relying solely on his strong will to keep going.

Shiyen was not faring much better. His shoulder had been pierced, and although the wound was bandaged and his "Undying Martial Soul" was healing it, it would not recover quickly. The side effects of using the "Rage" martial skill left him weak, and the essence he had absorbed from Jinmo and Tumu was still being digested, causing occasional urges for blood and madness. Despite this, he had to remain vigilant, observing the tracks of nearby beasts.

... He was even more exhausted than Diyalan.

"Let's find a place to rest," Muyedi said softly, noticing that Diyalan's steps were becoming heavier and slower, realizing he was nearing his limit.

"Alright," Shiyen took a deep breath and said calmly, "I'll find a good place to rest."

With that, he climbed up an ancient tree like a monkey, looking for a place with dense foliage to hide.

Standing on the ancient tree, Shiyen looked around and suddenly let out a light "hmm." Using the branches to swing through the forest, he slowly moved toward a dead ancient tree.

The roots of the dead tree were thick, and the branches were dry, with no moisture, having been dead for many years.

Swinging to a dry branch of the dead tree, Shiyen examined it closely and suddenly exclaimed with joy, "This ancient tree is hollow. We can go down inside, and the space at the root is large enough for all three of us to sit. This place is quite good. You two rest here, and I'll come back up in a moment."

The top of the ancient tree was narrow, but the roots were thick, and the hollow space in the trunk was large enough for a normal person to fit. The tree was ten meters tall, and Shiyen and Diyalan could easily climb down. With a rope, Muyedi could also descend without difficulty.

Hearing about such a good place, Diyalan did not rest any longer and said urgently, "Let's go in quickly. There are beasts around, and if we are spotted, it will be very troublesome."

"Alright, give me the rope, and I'll pull Miss Mu up first."

...

Two minutes later.

Shiyen, Diyalan, and Muyedi were sitting in the hollow root of the ancient tree.

Starlight filtered through the top of the tree, and the roars of beasts could be heard from outside, sending shivers down their spines.

None of them spoke.

Muyedi and Diyalan were filled with immense grief.

On this journey, they had relied on each other, facing numerous dangers with Luo Hao and the others. Now, only the two of them remained, and they did not know if they could escape the pursuit.

Their companions had left one by one, and the pursuers were relentless. Perhaps the Dark Abyss and Fang Tooth people would catch up tomorrow, and perhaps they would suffer terrible fates...

This feeling of having no tomorrow made Muyedi and Diyalan lose all hope, living in constant fear.

Shiyen was slightly better off. He had not spent much time with Luo Hao and the others, and their deaths had not deeply affected him. He could still remain calm.

However, Luo Hao's death left him feeling somewhat regretful. Luo Hao had been kind to him in recent days, training him with a gravity field every night. Shiyen knew that releasing the gravity field every night required a lot of energy, and he felt indebted to Luo Hao for his efforts.

Especially when he learned that Luo Hao's death was related to the Mo family, he felt a sense of responsibility.

Silently remembering the Dark Abyss, Fang Tooth, and the mercenary forces, Shiyen decided to seek bloody revenge on these three factions in the future.

However, when he glanced at Diyalan and Muyedi, he frowned. The two women looked lifeless and filled with despair, as if they had lost all fighting spirit.

He knew that the deaths of Luo Hao and the others had greatly affected them, but they still had a long way to go to reach the Merchant Alliance. If they lost their fighting spirit now, they would not survive this ordeal.

After a moment of thought, Shiyen decided to do something. He stared at the two women for a while and gradually formed a plan...

The hollow part of the ancient tree was just large enough for the three of them to sit cross-legged. When they sat down, their legs were close together, with only small gaps between them, allowing them to feel the warmth from each other's legs.

Initially, Shiyen kept his legs together, maintaining a small gap between him and the two women, keeping a clear boundary.

Suddenly,

Shiyen slightly spread his legs, his left leg naturally touching Diyalan's right leg, and his right leg touching Muyedi's left leg. He could clearly feel the strong and muscular thigh of Diyalan and the soft and plump thigh of Muyedi, both with distinct and enjoyable sensations.

Shiyen's small action seemed unintentional, but both women reacted.

Diyalan raised her head and glared at him but did not say anything more.

Muyedi, however, seemed embarrassed, her face turning red. She fidgeted and tried to move her left leg away from Shiyen's right leg.

But every time she moved, Shiyen would unceremoniously move closer, pressing his leg against hers again.

After three attempts, Muyedi felt frustrated, knowing that Shiyen was deliberately taking advantage of her, but she could do nothing about it. Her face flushed with embarrassment, and she silently cursed Shiyen for being a jerk.

However, Shiyen's antics made Muyedi's grief quietly fade away. She was so focused on cursing Shiyen that she temporarily forgot about the tragic deaths of Luo Hao and the others.

Diyalan's keen eyes did not miss Shiyen's small actions. She seemed to understand something and did not stop him. Instead, she looked at Muyedi strangely, as if telling her that she was overreacting.

Under Diyalan's gaze, Muyedi felt even more embarrassed, her face turning even redder. She pouted and glared at Shiyen.

Shiyen closed his eyes, pretending that his actions were unintentional. His breathing was steady, as if he were already asleep.

"Acting! Keep acting! When I recover, I'll settle the score with you!" Muyedi clenched her teeth, feeling the heat from Shiyen's thigh, her neck turning red. She could only curse him in her mind.

Of course, Shiyen was not asleep.

With his eyes closed, he carefully savored the different sensations of the two women's thighs, secretly comparing them.

Diyalan's thigh was strong and muscular, while Muyedi's was soft and elastic, each with its own charm. After a while, Shiyen felt that both women's thighs were excellent, the sensations almost equally delightful.

As he continued to compare, his mind gradually became distracted, and his most primitive desires were stirred.

Negative energy from his body's acupoints quietly released, gradually amplifying his desires...

His breathing became more rapid, and he did not have any thoughts of bloodlust or madness, only a pure and uncontrollable desire. The more he tried to suppress it, the harder it became to control.

Shiyen gradually lost himself...

Muyedi suddenly woke up and called out, "Lan, something's wrong with this guy. He seems to be acting like he did before."

Shiyen's breathing was rapid, sweat appeared on his forehead, and his body was trembling slightly, as if he were trying to control something.

Diyalan and Muyedi, whose legs were pressed against his, also noticed his unusual state.

After staring at Shiyen for a while, Diyalan's face turned red, and she whispered, "It's different from before. He used to want to kill, but now he wants to... to..."

"What does he want?" Muyedi asked in surprise.

"He wants to eat..." Diyalan answered, feeling a bit embarrassed and not elaborating further.

"Eat?" Muyedi's face changed, and she exclaimed, "This is even more serious! How can this be? Is he going to be like a beast? Lan, will he eat us? What should we do?"

She clearly did not understand the true meaning of Diyalan's words.

"Stupid girl, what are you thinking?" Diyalan spat, her expression awkward, "He's in heat."

Muyedi was stunned, then realized what Diyalan meant. Her face turned so red it seemed to be bleeding, and she stammered, "Lan, I, I'll play the zither to help him relax. Do, do you want to go out and hide? I, I'll go out too..."

"Alright, I'll take you out," Diyalan nodded, her beautiful eyes flashing, and she was about to fly up.

At that moment!

Shiyen suddenly opened his eyes, bloodshot and wild, and fiercely hugged Diyalan.

The tree hollow was not spacious, and when Diyalan was hugged, her body was pressed against the tree wall, unable to escape.

"Jerk! Let go!" Diyalan cried out, "Stupid girl, help me pull him off! Hurry!"

Muyedi was panicked, reaching out to pull Shiyen, but he stood like a rock, immovable no matter how she tugged.

Diyalan was extremely exhausted, her essence not yet recovered, and she could not break free from Shiyen's strong embrace.

"Rip!" The sound of tearing fabric was jarring in the quiet tree hollow.

"Jerk!" Diyalan lowered her voice and shouted, "Quick! Stop him, he's lost his mind to desire."

"I, I can't stop him," Muyedi said, pounding on Shiyen's back in fear.

"Lan, it's, it's too late," Muyedi stammered, her beautiful eyes filled with terror.

"What, what's too late?" Diyalan was stunned.
