C97 Part2

“Go!” Yun City’s Zi Xing let out a low shout, and two silver boomerang-like objects shot towards the zombies, flashing a curved trajectory. They immediately reaped the heads of two zombies before flying back into her hands. On everyone’s watch, her ‘No. 046’ surpassed Yang QiQi’s number and got second place. Her male beasts also rushed towards the group of zombies, wantonly scrambling for points.

Female Warrior Zi Xing knew very well that only two of the twelve teams would be eliminated in this round. It went without saying that the three teams from Cang City would advance and retreat together. On the other hand, LanJing City and Han City had joined hands and this did not lose out much in comparison to the union of Cang City’s three teams. Next, there was the alliance between WanQing City, DuYue City, and QiuShui City’s three teams. Therefore, the two eliminated teams would certainly be anyone among the remaining three: herself, Xian City’s Female Warrior QingYun, or Pian City’s Female Warrior Mei. Hence, what she needed to do now was not to compare with the three alliances, but to win against the two teams of Xian City and Pian City.

Female Warrior Zi Xing was not the only one who thought so; Female Warrior Mei and Female Warrior QingYun also thought like this.

As a result, the other two also launched a fierce attack on the zombie group after Zi Xing.

The three major alliances rushed toward the other three directions in tacit understanding. This round tested their ability to adapt and cooperate. Killing or injuring the other participating teams was strictly forbidden. If anyone was found to violate the rules, their score would be deducted and their qualification for participating in the competition would be canceled. Thus, everyone would go all out to kill as many monsters as possible to accumulate a high score.

Both of Yang QiQi’s hands were holding thorned vines. She rolled up a zombie with the vine in her right hand and smashed it into a dense pack of zombies, coating the ground with a thick layer of broken bones and rotten flesh. Her left hand whipped down, and another zombie’s body got severed from its head, which fell to the ground with its mouth still moving in an attempt to bite Xiang BuChen’s legs which appeared before its eyes.

Unfortunately for it, Xiang BuChen’s footwork was so fast that by the time it smelled the tempting scent and instinctively bit down, it only managed to bite the wind.

It was still deeply missing the sweet aroma of Xiang BuChen’s legs when another pair of feet flashed before its eyes. The male beast, while running, exclaimed excitedly, “Ling Yue, Xiang BuChen, let’s compete and see who can kill the most!”

When the third one ran past, the zombie’s head didn’t feel like opening its mouth anymore. After that, it was trodden into the mud by the little female beast who separated it from its body, at last returning to where it should truly belong.

Yang QiQi’s pair of vines fluttered as she followed the three male beastmen to harvest points. Although zombies were endlessly crawling out of the ground and swaggering towards the group, those things couldn’t overcome their fierce destruction, allowing Yang QiQi and her team to move forward little by little.

The red digits beside the participants’ numbers were also constantly increasing. At present, Cang City’s Female Warrior Xiao Yuan was occupying the first position, the second position was held by Female Warrior ZiZi, the third by herself, while the fourth, fifth and sixth were by Wa Hu, YueDu, and Xu respectively. Anyhow, there were still 42 minutes left before this round ended.

Yang QiQi’s eyes flickered as her gaze fixed on the red digits beside ‘No. 077’ on the wristwatch.

“Yuan Ping!”

A loud shout from the front left broke her chain of thoughts. She looked up and noticed that one of the Guardian Beasts of Female Warrior Wa Hu was thrown to the ground and bitten on the shoulder by a zombie leopard. His companions were just about to rush forward to rescue him but the figure named Yuan Ping gradually faded and disappeared in barely two or three seconds.

“Everyone, be careful. If you are injured by these monsters, you will be thrown out of the virtual battlefield.” Wa Hu yelled before looking at Yang QiQi. “Female Warrior QiQi, we have to cooperate to get rid of this monster leopard first.”

“The three of us will be responsible for slaughtering this zombie leopard. The male beasts will serve as a protective layer.” Yang QiQi led her team towards Wa Hu. From the other side, Mu YouYun also approached them.

Once the three teams came together, the male beastmen took position around the females, forming a circle around the three female beasts to block off the other zombies that kept coming toward them.

Both Yang QiQi and Mu YouYun had wood attribute. Firstly, Yang QiQi’s thorny vines and Mu YouYun’s ‘Thousand Coiling Grass Blades’ bound the zombie leopard securely with brute force and suppressed it. Then, Wa Hu used her Great Iron Hatchet to finally behead the zombie beast.

“Damn! This monster leopard’s value is quite high. Laoniang obtained 5 points as soon as this hatchet beheaded it.” Wa Hu stared at the number on her wristwatch and grinned, raising her hand.

“I got 1 point.” Mu YouYun said.

Yang QiQi looked at her wristwatch: “I also got 1 point.”

“They’re coming again.” Xiang BuChen warned.

Of course, his words did not refer to the ordinary zombies, but rather, those considerably tenacious zombie beasts. Those beasts with blood and pus flowing down and skin and flesh whirling around, ran out from behind the group of ordinary zombies. Compared with their slow movements, the speed of these zombie beasts was extremely fast. They were even faster than the ordinary female beastmen. And judging from the battle with that zombie leopard, their strength was greater than that of an adult male beast.

“There’s five.” Mu YouYun counted.

If one were to say that it was still relatively easy to get rid of the leopard with the combined strength of the three Female Warriors, then handling these five all at once was not a child’s play.

Yang QiQi gauged silently, and spoke up, “My team will take charge of three. You both and your teams can deal with the other two.”

Without waiting for their reply, her figure vanished from their sight. A soft cry was heard immediately: “Inescapable Snare, condense!”

A large net made of thorny vines suddenly dropped and captured the unguarded zombie tiger and three ordinary zombies around it in one go. The net began shrinking around the zombies and thorns pricked them, bundling them all together into a giant meatball.

“Xiang BuChen.” Hearing Yang QiQi, Xiang BuChen understood and immediately pounced on the other two zombies.
