C26 Part2

Translated by An Edited by An

No. 2 was forced to dismiss his thoughts, but No. 4, who was flying behind him, couldn’t help himself. His heart itched to try it so he flew over and pretended to be kind: “No. 1, No. 1, this old bear is so fat… I see that you are exhausted… Come, let me carry him.”

No.1 glanced at him: “5 crystal coins.”

It’s okay for you to have fun, but you have to pay me after going back.

“So expensive? How about 3?”

“Deal. I’ll let you carry him~”

“Ah— Help~” When Zheng Shou found that No. 1 let go of his grip on him, he was scared out of his mind. However, he was caught by No. 4 when he started sinking to the ground, who continued tossing him back and forth.

“Will he be okay?” Yang QiQi looked back at Zheng Shou with distress. She wasn’t sure if her going to help Zheng Shou in this situation violated their customs here. In this world, they respected the strong. If a male beastman was rescued by a female, would he be considered useless?

“It’s okay, No. 1 and them are sensible.” Chi Zhan said wickedly. “Besides, this male is scared enough to cry and howl after two times of tossing. He needs to improve his endurance.”

When a male contends with another male, can a female not intervene rashly?! However, it seems that they wouldn’t hurt Zheng Shou in reality. So, maybe they really were doing some sort of a special training.

In the end, Yang QiQi had to withdraw her gaze and no longer look at him: What the eye doesn’t see, the heart doesn’t grieve over.

Chi Zhan, who was carrying her on his back, felt that Yang QiQi shone with the brightness of thousands of stars. Pink bubbles floated in his heart as he thought: As expected. Miss QiQi is really the kindest of all the females I’ve ever seen. She is worried about her Guardian Beast because of such a trivial matter.

After more than five hours of flying, they crossed the boundary of the Saintess Forest and entered the army camp of the Prison Guards situated on the edge of the forest on a barren land. The camp consisted of many army-green coloured tents. The other Prison Guards were very curious about the arrival of the legendary little female, but they still had to continue doing their daily patrols and drills. A few other team Captains came to see Yang QiQi, but she was immediately hugged away by Zheng Shou, who ran over to her side while stumbling. He pressed her face to his chest with one hand, preventing the male beastmen in the camp from seeing her face clearly.

While holding Yang QiQi, Zheng Shou stared angrily at all the Prison Guards who had approached her: There really is nothing good about this group of birds. This place is their base camp ah. No matter who grabs QiQi and flies to the sky, I and Nian JiMo can only look on with despair…… Nian JiMo, I take back what I said before. The world’s most annoying thing is the long wings of the birds ah. When compared with these birds, the snake clan is still very cute……

Yang QiQi really looked too good, so Chi Zhan and the others approved Zheng Shou’s deeds silently.

The number of single male beastmen present in the camp was huge, so Yang QiQi’s beauty would albeit cause some turmoil.

The highest person in charge of the camp was General Luo YuCheng, a middle-aged male beastman, who was originally very strict. However, after seeing Yang QiQi, he immediately transformed into a perverted uncle with a wretched smile pasted on his face in front of his subordinates. He warmly asked her about her wellbeing and even said that he would personally send her to the ‘Saintess Hall’ in Han City. In the end, it was his adjutant who dispelled his thoughts. Thus, according to the original plan, Chi Zhan’s team escorted Yang QiQi and her Guardian Beasts to Han City.

After resting for a while, the group of eight set out again under the reluctant gazes of General Luo YuCheng and his men.

Their destination was the ‘Saintess Hall’ in Han City. They would have to pass through the vast desert region on their way to meet up with the Envoy of Han City’s ‘Saintess Hall’ in a small desert border town and then head to Han City together.

I. Author’s note on th e various levels of the ‘Saintess Hall’:

Wherever there is a female, there will a ‘Saintess Hall’ that specializes in caring for female beastmen. Therefore, every city, regardless of its size, has a ‘Saintess Hall’. The ranks, from low to high, are — white, green, yellow, red, and purple.

1. White Rank: For all females. However, those females who have their attributes detected by the special instrument, have a chance to be promoted to green rank. Do not have the permission to cultivate without any exclusive approval.

2. Green Rank: Have ordinary females as well as Female Warriors. It has a specially designed ‘Ladies’ Combat Court’ for practice purposes. If any female’s attribute gets promoted to the next level, it must be reported to the Yellow ranked ‘Saintess Hall’. No private training.

3. Yellow Rank: Have some ordinary females as well as Female Warriors of a higher stage. For females, there are primary ‘Ladies’ Combat Court’ and advanced ‘Ladies’ Combat Court’. Have no right to withhold females of Lady Marshal rank.

4. Red Rank: These Saintess Halls have only one building — ‘Lady Marshal Building’ which houses females who reach the Lady Marshal rank.

5. Purple Rank: Has only one ‘Saintess Temple’ which is the highest place for all the females in the Beast World. Purple rank is the ultimate honor for female beastmen. They are the Empire’s most powerful females with attributes and the location of the temple is concealed.

II. Author’s note on the attachment of the ‘Nursery Hall’ to the ‘Saintess Hall’:

Like the classification of the ‘Saintess Hall’, the ‘Nursery Hall’ is also divided into five levels. From low to high, it is Tier 1 to Tier 5 respectively.

There are separate buildings for Tier 1 to Tier 3 of the ‘Nursery Hall’, which are usually adjacent to the ‘Saintess Hall’. On the surface, the two halls are equal, but in fact, priority is given to the needs of the ‘Saintess Hall’ over the ‘Nursery Hall’ in every aspect.

Tier 4 and Tier 5 of the ‘Nursery Hall’ are directly merged into the Red and Purple Rank of ‘Saintess Hall’.
