The amusement park in Jiangcheng is located in the eastern district, not far from where Yang Yi lives. It didn’t take long to get there by taxi.

As soon as they arrived at the entrance, Yang Yi was still buying tickets, but the little one was already excitedly pointing at the tall Ferris wheel and shouting, "Daddy, I want to ride the Ferris wheel, Daddy, take me on the Ferris wheel!"

Perhaps influenced by the little one’s excitement, Yang Yi’s slightly gloomy mood gradually brightened up.

He laughed heartily, picked up the little one, and gently lifted him up so that Xi Xi straddled his father’s neck.

This was the first time!

Xi Xi felt as if she was riding on a cloud, and the little girl couldn’t help but let out a scream, then giggled even more happily!

There were many children at the entrance of the park. This amusement park was probably the most popular place for kids in Jiangcheng, aside from the zoo.

Yang Yi, a tall and strong man, and the little princess Xi Xi, who was smiling sweetly on his neck, were quite noticeable in the crowd, drawing everyone’s attention.

Of course, the other children frequently glanced at the high-sitting Xi Xi, their eyes filled with envy.

Not long after, a little boy not far behind Yang Yi was pulling his father, shouting that he wanted to ride on his father’s neck too!

However, his father was unwilling, and the little boy started to cry loudly.

The commotion was so loud that even Yang Yi, who had caused it, couldn’t help but turn around to look. Just one glance, and even the usually aloof Yang Yi had to suppress a laugh.

No wonder his father was unwilling!

Look at that little boy’s build; he was as big as his mother, and at just six or seven years old, his arms and legs were much fatter than those of other children, not to mention his chubby belly!

And his father, who was standing awkwardly to the side, was as thin as a bamboo stick. If the little fatty really climbed up, his father would probably collapse first!

Well, since the incident was caused by him, Yang Yi didn’t feel right to continue watching the commotion. When it was their turn, he quickly took Xi Xi through the ticket check and entered the park.

As they walked, Xi Xi turned back with a curious look and asked, "Daddy, why doesn’t that brother’s daddy want to?"

Yang Yi could already feel the resentful gazes from behind him...

The first attraction they visited was, of course, the Ferris wheel that Xi Xi had been looking forward to.

However, upon reaching the Ferris wheel, Yang Yi was a bit disappointed. This Ferris wheel wasn’t very impressive, standing at only about fifty meters tall.

It’s not fun at all!

Yang Yi had been excited to experience the amusement park and relive some childhood fun with Xi Xi, but this height of Ferris wheel didn’t really interest him.

Of course, Yang Yi didn’t forget that today, Xi Xi was the main character. After queuing up, they entered one of the Ferris wheel cabins.

With a “clank,” the door closed.

The Ferris wheel kept moving, and the creaking sounds from outside were clearly audible inside the cabin.

At first, Xi Xi was excitedly peering out the window, but as the cabin slowly ascended, the little one started to panic.

There was a growing sense of fear as if they were gradually suspended in the air!

The small, enclosed space of the cabin exacerbated this fear.

“Daddy, I’m scared,” Xi Xi’s head slowly shrank back, and she turned to look at her father, trembling.

Yang Yi had been looking out with interest, but upon hearing his daughter’s call, he quickly bent down, picked up Xi Xi, and sat down with her.

“Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid, Daddy’s here!” Yang Yi gently patted Xi Xi’s head, and the soft hair felt very comfortable to touch.

In her father’s arms, Xi Xi’s fear of heights diminished significantly. Her natural curiosity made her peek out again.

“Everything looks so small!” Xi Xi murmured.

“Daddy, look, look there, that’s the little brother from earlier!”

“Daddy, Daddy, look, that’s a car! It looks like a little bug~”

The little one eagerly shared everything she saw with her father, and Yang Yi smiled, nodding in response without getting tired of it.

After getting off the Ferris wheel, Xi Xi was still unsatisfied and begged her father to ride it again.

This time, she didn’t need to be held in her father’s arms; the little one seemed to have adapted.

To Xi Xi’s delight, when the Ferris wheel reached its highest point, a silver-white airplane appeared in the sky, slowly crossing the horizon.

“An airplane, Daddy, it’s an airplane!” Xi Xi was so excited that she jumped up and down.

Fortunately, the little one’s weight was limited and couldn’t affect the massive Ferris wheel. If Yang Yi had jumped, there might have been an accident!

Yang Yi’s childlike heart was also stirred, and he and his daughter’s heads were pressed together, laughing and competing to look out the window at the airplane.

...

This amusement park in Jiangcheng was actually quite simple, at least in Yang Yi’s eyes.

Although it had large attractions like a Ferris wheel, roller coaster, and pirate ship, they were all relatively small. Other smaller attractions like bumper cars, merry-go-rounds, and maze houses were not very impressive.

But Xi Xi had a great time. She wasn’t old enough to ride the roller coaster, but with her father’s guidance, she enjoyed the thrilling bumper cars and merry-go-round, and the little one was overjoyed.

The consequences were severe. By the time the amusement park was about to close in the evening, Xi Xi was crying and begging not to leave.

“Can we not go back?” The little one clung to her father’s leg, tears streaming down her face, pleading.

“It’s not that Daddy doesn’t want you to play, but the park is closing soon. Look, the Ferris wheel has stopped,” Yang Yi explained, feeling a headache.

“No, no, Xi Xi doesn’t want to,” Xi Xi shook her head stubbornly.

This scene wasn’t unique to Yang Yi and Xi Xi. At the entrance of the amusement park, a line of children who didn’t want to leave had formed...

It wasn’t just Xi Xi crying; there were others who were even more upset!

For example, the little fatty they had seen earlier was wailing so loudly that it frightened several younger children, who stood there with tear-streaked faces, watching him.

The cries rose and fell, and Xi Xi joined in, her sadness and reluctance resonating with the surrounding environment, making it hard to stop.

Yang Yi, holding Xi Xi’s schoolbag, felt a bit frustrated.

“Damn! Why are kids so troublesome?” Yang Yi felt his head was about to explode. He really felt that taking care of a child was more difficult than cracking a powerful security system to hunt down a political figure!

This is unreasonable, right?

The amusement park is closing, so why are you crying to your father? Will crying make the amusement park reopen?

With Yang Yi’s usual aversion to trouble, he might have just packed up and left, waving his sleeve without leaving a trace!

But he held back his temper because the little one’s delicate hand was clinging to his pant leg, and her helpless, pitiful appearance made all his anger vanish.

“Fine, I guess I’m stuck with this clingy little one for life!” Yang Yi sighed inwardly and squatted down.
