1. Full of Complaints

Great heroes.

Or absolute rulers.

Those who dominated an era, whose names alone carried immense presence.

There were emperors who founded empires and leaders of massive organizations.

There were doctors who saved countless patients, and powerful individuals who didn’t belong to any group, and those who received the praise of many.

There were warriors who defeated the Demon King and a certain person named Tenma who unified the continent by force, whose influence was tremendous.

However, when Dave heard stories about them, he was confident he could say this with a firm voice:

"Heroes? Ah, they can bully a mere 10-year-old kid to their heart's content, and if they don’t like it, they beat him like a dog on a festival day."

"Once you become strong enough to reach their level, they throw you another task and bully you again."

"Whenever they get bored, they throw people into lava, hang them off cliffs, and toss them into pits of fire, all while saying it’s for your own good! Are you talking about those people?"

Whether they were heroes or outstanding individuals, most of them, who were somewhat famous, seemed to have a screw loose!

A thousand years in soul perception time!

When he returned to his original body, the weak prince Dave, six years had already passed.

2. Damn Corridor.

The Hall of Heroes, or the Temple of Heroes.

It is said to be a space where the souls of legendary heroes and great figures, who only exist in legends and records, reside after death.

It is said to be a space in the afterlife created to elevate the pride of those who left great achievements, but no one knows who created it.

Everyone seems to have a curious and hopeful expectation of me, but if I’m to be honest, there’s not even a speck of something that could call me a hero.

The heroes, who had been in a state of hibernation, gathered when a new "newbie" arrived after a long time.

It seems that there are not many who have achieved great things, so the influx of new members is almost non-existent.

Naturally, they must think that I have some great achievement.

They were so excited, praising a mere 10-year-old as if he were something great, making a fuss and dancing around.

I feel a bit guilty, but the instinct that I would get a beating if I said I have nothing is overwhelming, so I instinctively keep my mouth shut.

Every time they meet me, they pat me on the back with praise that makes me cringe.

Rude people.

They are so strong that I honestly feel like my shoulder is dislocated.

Sometimes I witness them fighting to the death as a joke, and since they are people who play on a continental scale...

I gradually become scared. If it’s revealed that I’m just an ordinary person with nothing...

I’ve been caught...

It’s cold, as if a dagger has pierced my heart.

But worry... no, that’s not it.

There’s no way an ordinary person like me could have a ticket to such a place.

It seems I’ve properly scratched their meager pride.

They are somewhat noble people, and they seem to understand my situation, but their gaze is uncomfortable.

Their attitude is like they’re looking at a parasite that only eats, and the food I eat gets stuck in my throat.

These are people who have died and only have their souls left, and they were once heroes who dominated an era.

They are incredibly petty about food.

Though I don’t say much, the fact that I’m seen as a parasite that only eats is annoying, and that’s what led to the start of my outburst and anger.

I should have just kept my mouth shut and stayed quiet...

They seem to be analyzing the meaning of my presence here, despite having no power or achievements, and they’ve been in meetings for several days.

A solemn meeting that has been going on for three days.

If you get close to the door of the grand hall, you can hear them arguing and shouting.

I start to worry that they might blow my head off, thinking I’ve tricked them.

After a long time, the meeting finally ended.

I could only watch from a distance as they returned with solemn faces, unable to say anything.

Finally, someone came to see me.

It was the giant man who, when I first arrived, brought a bag full of delicious snacks, danced around, and urged me to eat.

"I’ve decided to grant your request. It’s not your fault, and it’s funny for us to say anything. You’ve been bored to death, so this should be fun too. You’re part of the family now, so I’ll take responsibility. Follow me."

That’s how it started.

The giant man’s name is Heracles. He said his training subject is survival.

I feel like I’ve heard a similar name before, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be the case.

I was lured by his words that he would make me perfect, and I followed him, but I regretted it after exactly half a day.

One year.

That’s the time he left me in a forest infested with unknown monsters and left me to survive on my own!

Poisoned food... water... predators attacking from all directions day and night...

He only helps when I’m about to die, which is incredibly frustrating.

I survived in the desert.

This time, it’s a cave.

Yesterday, a medium-sized sandworm broke through the wall and attacked me, and its sharp teeth are still vivid in my memory.

Though my body is tough, the worm’s teeth were broken.

Damn Heracles!

Even after more than 10 years of survival training, my body hasn’t grown a centimeter or aged.

How do I deal with that loud, bouncy man who claims I’ve grown incredibly and dances around?

He patted my exhausted back and said something that made me jump.

"Alright! My training is enough! With your level of skill, you won’t disgrace my name as my disciple! Hahaha! Then, the next training will be done by the old man Hares, so go to him!"

I should have punched that guy in the face right then and there...

He turned out to be a young-looking man, despite being called an old man.

Though I’m only 10 years old, considering my past life, this life, and my life in the Hall of Heroes, my life isn’t that short, so I try to take it in stride.

He was a serious-looking man, but he was surprisingly bouncy, unlike the solemn image of the legendary figure from the ancient texts of the continent where I was reborn, Tionis.

He was a commoner who rose to the rank of Sword God, but despite his heavy image, Hares was a very cheerful and sharp man.

Sword God Hares. I’ve definitely heard his name before.

Though I had some illusions about him, they were shattered in less than a day.

He might be the God of Laziness rather than the Sword God.

A talent close to a disaster.

Heracles also said that my talent is quite outstanding.

What he taught me was his lost sword technique.

Thanks to Heracles’ training, it wasn’t as hard as the first time, but in another sense, it’s a hellish experience.

I shouldn’t have picked up the wooden sword and metal bag he threw at me...

Damn sword technique! Just looking at a sword makes me want to vomit! Stop making that sound when you swing a sword!

Though I had some talent, it took a lot of time to surprise him.

He seems shocked for a different reason, but if I have to beat him, it might take several more decades, which makes me feel bitter.

I met a man who calls himself the embodiment of archery.

His greasy face, voice, and personality. He often calls out a woman named Daphne, whom he claims to love, so I think I’ll have a hard time.

Why don’t I run away? I’ve tried to escape a few times, but with dozens of people searching with fire in their eyes, hiding is like a flea in a bottle.

Damn... damn!! Save... save me...

I achieved my dream. Yeah, I’ve lived a long time, but here, I don’t feel alive.

Except for the heroes who lost interest and fell back asleep, almost everyone did what they called training and torture.

Magic, spear techniques, sword techniques, chains, combat... Ugh!

Among them, the most psychopathic was a woman named Odin, known as the revolutionary of magic.

It feels like a place where only the most outstanding weirdos are gathered...

During training, I met Heracles.

He tried to stab me with a spear, saying he would make a hole in my stomach, but when I came to my senses, I was abandoned in a field.

It seems that among the heroes, he is one of the top in survival skills.

I’m getting tired of his brute force training, and as a result, I’ve developed a mental illness.

One of the heroes who was studying my condition brought someone who had fallen into a deep sleep, thinking there might be a solution. She was a woman known as the Goddess of Medicine.

Her name is Hippocrasia... This name also feels strangely familiar, though it seems to be a slightly altered version.

What did she and Heracles talk about?

Time is the medicine.

While receiving her miraculous acupuncture, I was offered to learn medicine.

Acupuncture, surgery, meridians, symptoms of diseases, and methods to alleviate and cure them. I learn everything. This time, the study makes my head spin.

My talent shines! Ohh!!
