Chapter 13

※The cows we released last time, we all ate them afterward.

"――Lady Rize! Please give us a handshake!!!"

"Our savior!"

"Sign for us, Lady Rize!"

Ha ha ha ha ha!

One week after killing Jaikef, I was completely accepted by the people of Bonclay! When I walk down the street, everyone waves at me with a smile!

"Hmph, don't get so excited. I'll sign as many as you want."

"「「「Kyaa, Lady Rize!!!」」」

Oh, I'm so popular, it's a bit of a problem, me! I wanted to make a cool entrance when we stormed the enemy's stronghold, so I had the slum people incite a riot to make Jaikef snap, and it was worth it! Rescuing everyone like Rize-kun is amazing, right?

So, I sent Jaikef to hell as the villain, but he was originally a bad guy who caused the economic collapse of the territory. On the other hand, I'm making a lot of money and making everyone happy, so there's no problem! Heaven is inevitable!

"――People, the economy has been severely damaged by Jaikef's poor management. But! You have me, Rize Baybaron! Let's work together to aim for a hopeful future!"

"Ri, Ri, Lady Rizeeeeeee!"

"Aah, you are truly our hero! Compared to your brilliance, what were the nobles we've seen before?!"

My words, overflowing with justice, made the people even more excited!

Ha ha ha ha! I hope we can get along well, people of Bonclay! Since I made it clear that I don't want to be suspected of being a rebel, even the radical cult sister Alicia seems to be behaving herself. Let's work hard for peace at this rate! Yay!

In the underground chapel of Bonclay.

"New believers, believe in the 'Creator Demiurge'! And believe in Lady Rize, his apostle!"

"「「「Woooh! Lady Aliciaaaaaa!!!」」」

... In the dim darkness, countless people were shouting in ecstasy with the silver-haired sister.

Alicia, who had listened carefully to Rize's words, was advancing her religious activities with all her might while being careful not to stand out, as she was told to do...

"Then, everyone, let's sing the hymn together.

"――Yeaah!!! Lady Rize is our hero! The path of believing in him is glory!!! Let's destroy the country with all the f*cking nobles, Fooooo!!!"

"「「「Chaos!!! Chaos!!! Let's all go on a terror spree, Chekira!!!」」"

... The believers, in a trance, were chanting Alicia's mysterious hymn.

Unlike the crazy Alicia, they were originally ordinary citizens of Bonclay. However, the man named Rize Baybaron had shattered all their values.

That hero was incredible. After killing the evil lord Jaikef, he immediately began the reconstruction of Bonclay. First, he provided more than enough food to all the people suffering from poverty due to the economic downturn. Furthermore, despite being a noble, he treated the injured and sick for free, even curing deadly diseases with ease.

In addition, he did not neglect the care of the craftsmen who had lost their jobs due to the spread of counterfeit goods. He gathered craftsmen from distant territories and beast people with unique skills, and had everyone come up with ideas to develop many new products.

On the tax front, he boasted, "As long as I am the lord, just pay one-tenth of your earnings once a month when you can afford it." In a typical territory, they would forcibly collect up to 50% of the monthly earnings, so the people were truly grateful for the extremely light tax rate, which seemed almost negligent.

... Rize Baybaron is truly the ally of all commoners. He is a savior who gladly extends a helping hand even to those suffering from strange diseases and those in the slums. Knowing about such a great man, the people of Bonclay can no longer return to being 'livestock of the nobles.'

If... if the 'Duke,' the great lord of this region, were to order Rize to be expelled and send another man like Jaikef, the people would not hesitate to start a riot!

---

"Ah, long live Lady Rize!!! And let's cheer for the baby we plan to have with Lady Rize!!!"

"「「「Hooray! Hoorayyyyy!!!」」"

"Please give us the heads of the royal family as a birth gift!!!"

... Thus, the people, whose goodwill was maximized by Rize's own machinations that led to the economic collapse, were easily and thoroughly drawn into a radical dark religion!

※It took me 20 minutes to come up with Alicia's religious terror rap.
