With a thought, *bang*! Ang collided with something, and his consciousness was bounced away.

Coming to his senses, he found himself blocked outside the core area of the Palace of Rest, where inside lay the resting place of the Sovereign.

Clearly, some kind of barrier prevented Ang’s consciousness from entering this area. However, Ang felt nothing—neither surprised nor disappointed. He turned and drifted towards the tallest tower in the east.

The Palace of Rest was enormous, consisting of five major architectural complexes. The central area was naturally the core of the Palace, while the other four complexes were symmetrically arranged at the four corners, with the tower in the east being the tallest.

Ang’s consciousness swiftly entered here, encountering no barrier.

From the outside, it looked like a tall tower, but inside, it resembled a chimney. The internal structure had no levels or partitions, just a straight cylindrical space leading all the way to the top of the tower.

Inside, it was empty, with nothing but a small lectern in the center of the ground, on which a book was placed.

Yes, a small lectern with a book on it—these were the only two things in the entire tower.

Ang’s consciousness drifted over and touched the book, only to find that it was made of brass, hard and heavy.

As Ang touched it, the brass book flipped open, and a massive shadow shot up, instantly filling the entire internal space of the tower. This was the shadow of the book.

Ang began to understand why the tower was built so tall. If it weren’t, it wouldn’t be able to contain the shadow of the book.

The shadow of the book was open and standing upright, showing its inner pages. Initially, the pages were blank, but as they opened, golden letters gradually appeared on the pages.

Ang tilted his head, staring blankly for a long time without moving.

From the pages, a shadow of a brass dragon emerged, looking puzzled as it said, "Why is it just a small skeleton? Cough, um, do you not know how to read?"

Ang nodded.

"Why are you here in the library if you can’t read? What nonsense." The brass dragon grumbled, "Well, although I can dictate, that would be too undignified. You’re lucky."

A stream of information poured into Ang’s soul, directly imprinted on it.

"Hmm? Your soul is quite solid. Why are you only at the Ash Bone level?" The brass dragon muttered, puzzled.

Ang was bewildered, not understanding what it meant, but he could read the words on the pages. The information imprinted on his soul by the brass dragon was knowledge of writing.

The words on the page read: "The Brass Book, all-knowing, can only answer one question at a time."

Can it answer questions? All-knowing? Ang tilted his head and asked with his soul, "Who are you?"

"Ha ha ha ha, finally someone asks this question, finally someone asks this question! Oh, oh, you’re so smart, you actually thought to ask this question?" The brass dragon was so excited it almost jumped out of the page.

Those allowed into the library all knew about the brass dragon, and given the rule of only one question, no one would waste their precious opportunity by asking who the brass dragon was. The brass dragon is the brass dragon, who else could it be?

"Good boy, you asked the right question. Listen carefully, I am the Brass Book, the God of Knowledge, the all-knowing Negris!" Negris’s voice boomed like a bell, resonating in Ang’s soul.

Ang tilted his head and looked at it, while Negris craned its neck to look at Ang. After a long moment of eye contact, Negris couldn’t hold back and asked, "Have you never heard of my name?"

Ang nodded.

Negris was dejected, "I knew it. What does a small skeleton know? Do you have no other questions to ask?"

Ang tilted his head, his soul emitting a puzzled inquiry, "One question."

"That doesn’t count, that doesn’t count. The previous one was a reward. Those who know my divine name can call my name and ask me one question every day." Negris quickly said.

Originally, that was a trap set by Negris. If someone asked who he was, he would answer and then tell them it counted as a question. Then, in their deep sorrow, he would tell them they could call his divine name to ask him a question every day.

After struggling to gain entry to the library, being limited to one question, and then being able to ask one every day, this was obviously a reward. Then he could see their expression change from deep sorrow to great joy, experiencing extreme emotional fluctuations to satisfy his own sadistic pleasure.

However, since he was sealed here, for thousands of years, no one had fallen into this trap. Who would not inquire about Negris’s background before entering?

As for his divine name, no one cared. No matter how powerful a god, they were still sealed here. Could they be more powerful than the Undying Sovereign?

After thousands of years, he finally encountered someone who fell into the trap, but it was Ang, who didn’t play by the rules. After asking who he was, Ang really didn’t plan to ask anything else, almost driving Negris to despair.

"Ask, ask another one. I am the all-knowing God of Knowledge, there is nothing I do not know." Ang’s indifferent attitude made Negris somewhat angry, and he couldn’t help but urge him, preparing to give a thorough answer to Ang’s question to let him experience the power of the God of Knowledge.

"Okay." Ang thought for a moment and asked, "Where did the Sovereign go?"

The massive shadow of the Brass Book *slammed* shut, enclosing the shadow of the brass dragon inside, then quickly shrank back to the brass book on the lectern, which *slammed* shut as well.

The space echoed with the angry voice of the brass dragon Negris, "I don’t know."

With so many questions to ask, he had to ask this one. Negris himself wanted to know where the Undying Sovereign had gone. Clearly a small skeleton, with such a strange personality and such a tricky question, not cooperating at all, he was done, on strike!

Seeing the space return to its original state, Ang tilted his head, and his consciousness withdrew. The brass dragon’s tantrum had no effect on him. Ang was just a small skeleton, with no need for so many answers.

Turning his consciousness, he was about to drift to another complex when he felt someone push him. It was his body being pushed.

Ang’s consciousness returned to his body, and he immediately felt someone shaking him frantically. Turning his head, he saw it was the small zombie.

Seeing that Ang had responded, the small zombie, who had been barking frantically, continued to bark, pointing desperately in one direction. Ang followed the direction the small zombie was pointing and saw a tough-skinned zombie shuffling over, eyes rolled back, arms outstretched, and clearly attacking him.

Does this count as 'active attack'? A question arose in Ang’s soul. He reached for his scythe at his waist and skillfully swung it out.
