Prologue
Netkama became a saint.
"…."
She looked in the mirror and thought.
I have become the character I customized in the game I play.
Not that I suddenly fell into an unknown world,
Just my appearance is exactly like the character in the game...
I was in my room, but it wasn't me.
My chest is jiggling so much.
My butt is unnecessarily big and it's inconvenient.
Ah.
I should play the game.
Author's Note (Author's Afterword)

Let's look at the hitchhikers who are stuck in the yellow 1,2~orange level of the game.

Re-He (meaning Rainbow Tales He)
Hello, ReTe gallery members.
Today, we will look at the named characters at the yellow 1,2~orange level.
Before that,
Rainbow Tales has been open for 10 years now, and it's a national game that everyone has tried at least once, but since my posts keep being exported to other places, I'll explain it in a way that even those who don't know can understand.
Rainbow Tales is a third-person battle fighting AOS game.
There are three types of maps, but basically, you protect your base and destroy the core in the deepest part of the enemy base to win.
Let's skip the world view.
It's a traditional fantasy where you think of swords, magic, and holy powers when you think of medieval fantasy.
This game doesn't distinguish between jobs in-game, so it's possible for a character who looks like a warrior to cast a fireball.
The problem is that if you don't choose a staff or orb as a weapon, your output and power will drastically decrease, and if you start reciting spells in the middle of the battlefield, you'll get stabbed in the stomach.
In other words, it's inefficient.
So, most people try to play according to their job.
Yes, I want to talk about the differences in the basic five jobs: warrior, thief, mage, archer, and priest, which start with weapons, armor, and starting equipment.
And there are roles within the jobs.
As you know, not all mages use the same spells. Some use swords, some use spears. Some use longbows, and some use small flails to surprise and attack.
If the starting equipment determines the job, the division between sword and spear and fire and water is the branch of characteristics.
In ReTe, after the match is set and during the waiting time, you choose one main characteristic and nine sub-characteristics that match your weapon and start the game.
The main characteristic varies by job, with the least being three types for thieves and the most being eight types for mages. Usually, it's divided into 4-5 types.
The sub-characteristics... I just checked the DB, and there are 851 in total. When did they add so many?
Anyway, you choose 9 out of these 851 for your job.
So, you can start with a greatsword and choose the main characteristic for a warrior, but you can also put emphasis on magic in the sub-characteristics or even go for a full magic build to play as a sword-mage. You can play as a mage who uses all four basic elements and white and black magic.
It's versatile, but that's also the problem...
However, when you first create a ReTe account and start your first game, everything is fixed.
If you start with a light chain armor, a longsword, and a round shield, you can't play as a spear warrior or a greatsword warrior.
At this time, the characteristics are locked, so you can't change the starting equipment.
The same goes for other jobs.
A red magic orb and a red mage robe.
This is the basic equipment for a mage.
The main characteristic is Magic Theory - Fire, and the sub-characteristics are Fire Affinity, Red Lotus's Vow, Familiar = Salamander, Spellcasting Acceleration to increase fire magic efficiency, Insight of Magic, Mana Flask, Magic Control for mana management, High-level Spell Detection, and Dimensional Dagger to counter enemy mages and provide minimal resistance in close combat.
In other words, you can only play as a standard fire mage.
This characteristic restriction is lifted every 10 levels, and some difficult characteristics are unlocked at higher levels.
For example, the sub-characteristic Last Desperation.
When you're about to die, with 1-2% HP left, it recovers all the stamina reduction, speed, and reaction penalties accumulated from pain. However, it's hard to use because in a typical battle, one hit from a sword can easily reduce your HP by 10-20%, and if you receive harassment from archers or mages, you'll die with this characteristic.
It's not often used in berserker builds, so the adoption rate is low.
I'm saying this so you don't mess with it and get trolled. Use it when you're familiar with the game.
Ah. The main text is too long. I'll continue in the next part.

Anyway, when you reach level 50, the last characteristic lock is removed, and you can play ranked games.
From level 1-50, the first 5 ranked games for placement are called no color,
After that, the ranks are divided by MMR: purple, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, red.
Yellow 1 is often said to be the highest rank that a normal person can reach.
From orange, pro players are often seen, and from this point, the 1,2,3,4 indicators that show the skill difference within the rank are removed. If you say you're orange 1 or red 3, you're a noob, so remember that.
And the highest tier.
Rainbow.
Unlike other tiers, Rainbow has a limit of 200 people.
If the 201st person scores enough to surpass the 200th, the 200th is demoted to red.
It's a dream rank. There are 4 million accounts that can play ranked games in Korea, and out of those, only 200, or 0.005%, can enter the Rainbow tier.
Now... I think that's enough explanation.
Let's move on to the main topic.
We will look at the ghosts of orange who couldn't become red.
When you hear the term "speed demons," you should understand that they are these people.
They are much better than the average person and have invested a lot of time in the game, playing hundreds to thousands of games per season. However, their ambiguous talent and luck keep them oscillating between orange and yellow 1,2.
Because they play so much, they often merge their game and real life into broadcasts.
Let's look at some outstanding ones.
1. Berserker.
" What is our team doing? "
Real name: Kim Sanghyun (emphasized)
This is the broadcaster who inspired me to write this article.
His nickname is Berserker.
It's a rare nickname.
Since he was one of the fossil players who started playing as soon as the game came to Korea, he must have been able to secure the nickname.
His broadcasting nickname is also Berserker, and you can just call him Berserker or Sanghyun.
This person is a crazy guy who has been playing ReTe without a break for over 10 years. His total ranked stats show over 20,000 games.
What's even more amazing is that Berserker only plays the berserker build, which is crazy.
In the game's ranked mode, you can ban one weapon, one main characteristic, and a few sub-characteristics (which vary by battlefield), which can be used to counter or completely disable threatening builds.
Since Berserker only plays the berserker build, the snipers in the broadcasts ban most of the characteristics he uses, and even the greatsword, which can be considered his signature weapon.
However, Berserker, undaunted, used a parrying warrior build, chose the main characteristic of a shield master, and equipped a berserker build with sub-characteristics like Last Desperation and Blood Feast, and carried the game. This is a famous anecdote.
Of course, he didn't use parrying once in that game.
In fact, it's questionable whether Berserker can use advanced techniques like parrying.
His playstyle is even crazier than an in-game berserker.
He always charges forward and sweeps away the enemies in front of him.
His specialized front-line build combined with his unique sense means he rarely loses.
When he gets into a frenzy, he has the potential to take down two or three enemies.
However, his defense is limited to light armor, and he has no magic resistance, so he always takes significant damage from archers and mages.
When he sees that the enemy ranged units are targeting him, he charges forward and dies, saying the same thing as in the first paragraph.
" What is our team doing? "
This is the decisive reason why Berserker is stuck at yellow 1,2.
He just doesn't have a brain.
It's as if he's a real berserker. When a split formation appears, his brain freezes, and he can't time his join, often giving up important objectives or even the core of the base.
If you face him, I recommend a more indirect playstyle rather than a frontal battle.
It's a great experience to trick the berserker with intelligent play and watch him scream in the broadcast.
That doesn't mean I'm a sniper.
2. Arrow One Shot
" That was my wish as an orange. "
As his nickname suggests, he is an archer user. I don't know if it's an alt account, but he started the account last season and finished with 98 points in orange, and is now at 0 points in yellow 4.
His playstyle is as bad as his personality. The fact that he has orange-level skills but is stuck in yellow 4 is proof of that.
You might think he doesn't have enough games.
No. Even though it's the end of the preseason, he has played 450 games in two months.
It's a number of games that only hardcore players who only play ReTe can achieve.
In my opinion, his skills are equal to or better than orange. He might even be able to reach red.
But there's a reason he's in yellow 4.
He's a very bad climber, also known as a yeti.
One day, in a broadcast, he suddenly said,
" I will free the people with 0 points in orange and yellow 1 from the terror of yellow 4... I will free ReTe from suffering... "
Then he trolled every game and was demoted to yellow 4.
" The only salvation... the euthanasia of all yellow 4... if I can stop the promotion from green 1... "
There's a clip left that might be the reason why Arrow One Shot said such things.
It was right after a game where he was demoted from orange to yellow 1 due to a critical mistake at the beginning of the preseason.
( Rough donation jammer voice )
Arrow: I'm in yellow 4, so we're friends now, right? ㅋㅋ
" What the fuck, you outdated piece of shit, you're going to die!!! "
If you're a player trying to promote from green 1 to yellow, I recommend watching his broadcast at that moment.
If you ignore my advice and end up matched with Arrow One Shot in your team or the enemy team, you will lose your promotion game.
3. Vigor King Park Geuntae
" Ah, fuck, it's a typo, you bastards. "
Vigor King Park Geuntae.
His main job is a spirit user. He has played over 5,000 games as a spirit user.
He is often compared to Berserker, but since he started in season 6, he is also a hardcore gamer.
Before he appeared, there were no spirit users in this game.
Did the game company patch something? No, that's not it.
The
