Chapter 6

This canyon is easy to enter but hard to leave, or rather, it's hard to enter and even harder to leave. Di Jiu was certain that if he hadn't been in the flying vehicle and hadn't been brought here by that strange spatial crack, his fate might not have been much better than in his previous life.

Carefully navigating through various thorny bushes, he was injured countless times. Even with a stone that could stop bleeding, by the end of half a day, he was still covered in wounds.

Walking and stopping, it took him two full days to climb out of the canyon. He still couldn't figure out which direction he should go.

Because of the golden light, his eyesight had improved several times over, but looking around, he still saw nothing but a misty haze.

He really didn't know how his previous self had entered this place or why he had come here. Perhaps his previous self had come here for that red ying flower.

Choosing a direction at random, Di Jiu walked for nearly a day and finally stopped at a small lake.

After three days of walking, Di Jiu had only eaten some wild fruits and dry rations. If it weren't for the water in the flying vehicle, he wouldn't have had anything to drink.

Now that he had reached a lake, Di Jiu naturally wanted to replenish his strength. At the very least, he needed to catch some fish or find some game to roast.

Two hours later, Di Jiu caught two wild black fish, each over a foot long.

After cleaning and roasting them, even without salt, they were incredibly delicious. In less than ten minutes, Di Jiu had eaten both fish.

After eating the two roasted fish, Di Jiu felt his strength greatly replenished, far more than eating dry rations could provide.

Resting by the lake for nearly an hour, Di Jiu filled both of his water flasks and was about to find a place to sleep for the night. Over the past two days, he had hardly rested. Just then, he heard a faint sobbing sound.

Someone? Di Jiu suddenly stood up, his short dagger already in hand. The place where he was was absolutely desolate, even a primeval forest. He hadn't seen a single person in three days, and logically, it should have been uninhabited. How could there be sobbing sounds, especially at dusk?

After a few minutes, more sobs were heard. This time, Di Jiu heard clearly that someone was sobbing, though they were quite far away. His hearing was excellent, which is why he could hear it.

Di Jiu quickly put on his backpack and followed the sound of the sobs. After about ten minutes, he stopped.

In front of him were indeed people, two girls. One girl, wearing a light red top, was sobbing softly with her back to him. The other girl was lying on the ground, seemingly in trouble.

"Do you need help?" Di Jiu spoke, no longer in the language of Jiguo. His words were a bit rough but didn't falter.

"Ah..." The girl suddenly turned around and fell to the ground, her eyes full of fear as she looked at Di Jiu.

Seeing the girl's frightened eyes, Di Jiu quickly said, "I'm just a tourist here, you don't need to be afraid."

After a while, the girl calmed down. Perhaps because of Di Jiu's words, the fear in her eyes lessened, and she said uncertainly, "Are you really a person?"

The girl had a slightly round face and was quite pleasant to look at.

Di Jiu's hair was messy, and his clothes were tattered. The exposed parts of his skin were covered in scabs. Seeing him in the Wuchuan Mountains, it would be strange not to think he was a wild man.

Di Jiu looked at the girl speechlessly and said, "My clothes are a bit tattered, and my hair is a bit messy, but you can't talk like that. Besides, I think you should get up and let me see the girl who was bitten."

"No, no," the girl in the light red top quickly waved her hands, having calmed down and confirmed that Di Jiu was neither a wild man nor a dangerous person. She then remembered her companion and anxiously said, "Yu Mo was bitten by a snake, and there's no antivenom here..."

The girl in red moved aside, and Di Jiu could see the girl who had been bitten by the snake.

This girl was wearing a loose purple top, and her jeans had several tears. Her face was pale, her lips dry and purple, and she was completely unconscious on the ground.

Despite this, Di Jiu could still see that she was a very beautiful girl. He bent down and opened her eyes to examine them.

"Brother, is Xiao Mu still okay?" The girl in red asked anxiously, her eyes filled with fear and unease as she saw Di Jiu bend down.

"She can be saved," Di Jiu nodded. The purple-clad girl was deeply poisoned. According to Di Jiu's memory from his previous life, such a level of poisoning would be fatal unless she was in a hospital. But with him, it was no problem.

His medical knowledge in Jiguo was unmatched. If he hadn't been searching for a formula to activate his martial root and hadn't practiced medicine, he would have long been famous throughout Jiguo and become a medical master.

The snake bite was on the girl's left calf, and the leg's pant leg had been rolled up, showing a purple mark from the bite. It looked like the venom had been squeezed out once.

Di Jiu only made a few cuts with his dagger at the wound, squeezed out some black blood, and then grabbed a few herbs from his backpack, chewed them into a paste, and applied them to the wound.

He then took out golden needles and inserted them into several acupoints on the purple-clad girl.

In less than five minutes, Di Jiu put away his dagger and golden needles and said, "She's fine now. She'll wake up in a few minutes."

"Ah..." The round-faced girl looked at Di Jiu in disbelief, hesitated, and said, "But brother, I saw that the venom wasn't completely removed from the wound."

She had seen Di Jiu apply the herbs to Yu Mo without thoroughly removing the venom.

"It's fine. I've already used a method to send the venom to the herbs..."

"Fang Xue..." Before Di Jiu could finish, the purple-clad girl woke up. She called out to Fang Xue and then saw Di Jiu standing nearby, looking like a wild man. She was about to speak but was momentarily speechless. If she hadn't seen Fang Xue first, she might have screamed like Fang Xue.

"Yu Mo, you're really okay, that's great..." The round-faced girl, Fang Xue, said in surprise, then remembered Di Jiu and quickly added, "Fang Xue, this brother saved you."

Di Jiu saw that the two girls still looked worried and quickly said, "I'm also a tourist who got lost in here, which is why I look like this."

Hearing that Di Jiu was also a tourist, Yu Mo breathed a sigh of relief and struggled to sit up. "Thank you, brother, for saving my life. I was bitten by a venomous snake, and if you hadn't helped, I would have died. Your medical skills are truly remarkable."

Yu Mo was studying medicine and knew exactly what kind of snake venom she had been exposed to. She had thought she was doomed, but to be saved in such a place showed that the person who saved her was truly skilled.

Di Jiu waved his hand, "I just learned some of these techniques from others. I can't really call myself a doctor. By the way, do you have a map to get out of here?"

He had a map in his backpack, but he couldn't understand it at all.

(That's it for today's update. Good night, everyone!)
