Thank you for reading.
Regarding the parts that have been published in book form, I have intentionally left the typos, omissions, and additions as they are, hoping that they might serve as reference material later on.
Please understand.
There are people who use the typo reporting function to proofread.
I am declining requests other than typo and omission reports.
If it becomes too excessive, I will block it.
Please bear with me.
"R-Really!?"
At a dining table that could seat at least fifteen people, where Rottemeyer usually quietly teaches manners and eats elegantly, she stood up with a loud thud, knocking over her chair.
"Oh, my!"
Blinking in surprise, Rottemeyer said, "I apologize," and righted her chair to sit down again.
"…So you can use 'magic' now?"
"Yes, I checked my skills, and there's no mistake. It seems that the magic element nerves have settled in Fengdie earlier than expected."
"What a surprise…!"
Unlike the cheerful Mr. Romanov, Rottemeyer clasped her hands as if in prayer, trembling with excitement.
In other words, if it's earlier than expected, does that mean both of you knew there was a possibility that I could use magic?
The eyes of an educator are truly formidable.
Is there a special skill that can train a perennial bottom-of-the-class girl to get into the top school?
While I was thinking about this absentmindedly, my eyes met Rottemeyer's, who had slightly softened her gaze… I'm not sure if they really met because of the glasses, but they did.
"Master. We must celebrate this…!"
"A celebration…?"
Is being able to use magic such an important thing?
But if Rottemeyer says we need to celebrate, then it must be.
"Then, please distribute a glass of wine to everyone in the mansion."
Ideally, we should serve a bottle of wine from the mansion's wine cellar to each person, but I'm still a child and don't have that authority. I'm sorry, but please bear with a glass of wine.
When I cut into the soufflé omelet with a knife, the soft, fluffy texture made me laugh. Rottemeyer's expression was hard to read, but the teacher was looking at me with a wonderfully strange face, holding a fork with a piece of soufflé omelet on it.
"…Is the soufflé omelet not delicious?"
"No, it's delicious, but that's not it."
"?"
"Master, when I said we should celebrate, I meant for you. The wine distribution is indeed a gift, but for you, Master…"
"Me?"
"Yes, it's a celebration for Fengdie being able to use magic. Is there anything you want?"
Is it really that celebratory? After all, I didn't open my eyes through my own power; I was able to do it because Princess Baihua pressed the magic element meridians for me. It's not because of 'me' but because of 'him' and his knowledge.
I didn't do anything at all.
But inside me, 'he' whispers.
"Take what you can get" and "This is the perfect opportunity to enhance your hobbies!" and even "Don't you want to eat something delicious?"
Of course, I want to eat something delicious, and I definitely want to enhance my hobbies!
What a ruthless guy, 'he'!
Give me more excuses!
"U-Um…"
I decided to be swayed by the ruthless whispers of 'he' and my weak desires.
That night, when I was about to close the window to go to bed, a butterfly with iridescent wings, glowing in the moonlight, fluttered into the room.
It was so beautiful that I couldn't help but reach out. Suddenly, it avoided my short fingers and perched precisely on my head, then disappeared as if melting into the light.
'I forgot to mention, but tomorrow I want to hear a different song.'
"Wh-What!?"
Startled by Princess Baihua's voice directly in my head, I looked around, but no one else was in the room.
'What, have you already forgotten my voice after meeting me today?'
"N-No! I was just surprised…"
'Hmph, you're surprised that I can speak without showing myself. I am a god, after all. I don't need to show myself every time I speak. The butterfly earlier was my messenger, a tool to convey my voice to humans.'
"Ah… It was so beautiful…!"
'Hmph, of course, as a creation of a god. Anyway, from tomorrow, I want to hear a different song.'
"Ah, yes. …What kind of song?"
'Hmm, are there songs that praise gods in the other world?'
I thought for a moment.
Come to think of it, in the world with the cross as a symbol, there were songs that praised their mother.
"…Yes, but songs that praise a specific god from another world… well…"
'It doesn't matter, I don't mind. If I did, the gods of this world would be at war. Rather, are there more dramatic songs, like love songs? If there are, I want to hear those too!'
She pressed forward with a snort, and I took a step back.
Seeing the princess's eyes gleaming, I felt a little happy.
If she likes music and dance, she would probably enjoy the operas and musicals from my previous world. I want to show them to her.
'What are these 'operas' and 'musicals' you mentioned?'
"Huh…?"
Did I say that out loud?
I covered my mouth in surprise, and the princess laughed.
'Even if you don't say it out loud, your thoughts leak out. As a god, I can hear your thoughts. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to hear prayers, would I?'
I see.
As I nodded in understanding, her voice echoed in my head again.
'It's late, it's time for children to dream. I'll hear about the 'musicals' and 'operas' tomorrow, so you must come.'
"Yes, I will definitely come."
'Good, then.'
The iridescent butterfly, which had supposedly melted into the air, reappeared and flew out the window.
I got into bed, and my heart danced with the anticipation of a fun day tomorrow.
