Geng Weidong was studying a body on the autopsy table with a young forensic doctor. A foul smell hit them.

Huang Jiehao covered his nose with a file and said, "Old Geng, is the autopsy of Zhou Lian complete? Why are you so idle?"

Geng Weidong looked up at Huang Jiehao and said, "Zhou Lian's cause of death is obvious. The family refused to sign. If I hadn't used the excuse that the case isn't closed, the body would have been taken away. What else is there to examine?"

Huang Jiehao frowned and said, "If that's the case, why haven't you given me the official autopsy report yet?"

Geng Weidong said, "The report is on that desk. I was planning to give it to you this afternoon, but Xiao Jiang suddenly got a notice about a test tomorrow, so I'm giving him a crash course... I already told you the autopsy conclusion. Is there any new progress in the case? Who is this?"

"Du Long, which medical school did you graduate from?" Huang Jiehao asked, stepping forward.

Du Long, wearing a mask, replied in a muffled voice, "I attended Tianan Police Academy. I didn't study at a medical school, but I've read a lot of forensic medicine books as a personal hobby."

Huang Jiehao felt a bit strange. Geng Weidong laughed and said, "Du Long, it's a waste that you're not a forensic doctor. The dean of Tianan Medical College is my old classmate. How about I recommend you to study there for a year or two? With your abilities, getting a degree would be easy. Don't be a police officer; you could be a top doctor anywhere, or a forensic doctor."

Du Long smiled and said, "But I like being a police officer. My father is also an old detective. Maybe it's his influence. I love reading detective and mystery books and watching TV shows and movies. I've read the internal references and case studies my father brought home many times. Since I was young, I've wanted to be a police officer, solve various cases, and bring criminals to justice. So... Huang Jiehao smiled and said, "You did well. I'll start the transfer procedures on Monday. However, the first month is a probationary period. If you don't perform well, don't blame me for sending you back to the police station."
