Chapter 80

The top floor of the library had a meeting room. Because it was higher up, it wasn't as dim as the first or second floors, but the light was quite fragmented. When people stood inside, their faces were covered with speckled shadows from the trees, making them look somewhat ridiculous. Meetings were serious matters, and looking like a clown with a face full of tree shadows was not serious at all.
But there was no time to fuss about this now. After the incident in the library, everyone gathered at the meeting room on the top floor. However, as soon as they pushed the door open, a musty, moldy smell hit them. Due to long-term disuse, the meeting room was covered in dust and cobwebs. Yun Chong glanced at Chu Min. She was nominally the librarian, and even if the meeting room wasn't used often, basic cleanliness should have been maintained. But from the looks of it, it hadn't been cleaned for at least ten years.
Chu Min walked in as if no one else was there, then snapped her fingers in the air, and a strong wind immediately blew. The dust in the meeting room, when blown up, could be described as a sandstorm, but this sandstorm was under control. Following Chu Min's gestures, each gust of wind carried dust, cobwebs, and various odors, and they all rushed out through the windows.
In a moment, the meeting room was completely refreshed. Chu Min didn't say much and simply found a seat and sat down. The others followed, including Dean Yun Chong, other mentors, and relevant students. Xifan and Wenyan, who were seriously injured, were originally supposed to be treated elsewhere by the doctors, but Chu Min brought them to the meeting room, and a corner became a temporary treatment area.
A long conference table was set up, with Dean Yun Chong sitting at the head. Xia Bojian sat at the chief position on the left side of the Dean, his usual spot. Chu Min sat opposite him, but not directly across; she just picked a random seat in that row.
The other mentors followed and sat in order next to Xia Bojian. Among them were Xia Bojian's students. Seeing the tension in the room, they insisted on sitting on the mentor's side. As for the other mentors, one was the vice-dean, and the other was a female alcoholic, making their choice easy. Soon, the left side of the Dean was full, while the right side had only Chu Min sitting there, relaxed and casual, already taking out a bottle of wine from her pocket and opening it. Yun Chong, helpless, knew it was useless to say anything and pretended not to see.
The students who could attend the meeting were, of course, related to the incident. They were not at the table but stood against the wall behind Xia Bojian's row.
Where was Lu Ping?
Lu Ping was currently settling Su Tang and Mo Lin. Mo Lin was still unconscious, and since communication was difficult, Lu Ping didn't try to wake him up and let him lie on the table. Su Tang had already demonstrated her breakthrough ability, but her other soul powers had not yet recovered. Although she couldn't communicate like Mo Lin, she was calm and composed as long as she knew Lu Ping was there.
After settling the two, Lu Ping sat down, and the entire room fell silent.
He joined the table, not just himself, but also Su Tang and Mo Lin. He sat on Chu Min's left, Su Tang on his left, and Mo Lin on Su Tang's left. Chu Min had just picked a random seat in that row, the fourth one. With Lu Ping's arrangement, Mo Lin, lying on the table, became the chief position on the right side of the Dean, directly opposite Xia Bojian, who was on the left side. Mo Lin's cap was off, revealing a cowlick to Xia Bojian.
The students from Tianzhao standing against the wall were stunned. This guy was really from the mountains, with no sense of rules. Such a thing had never happened at Tianzhao College, and they didn't know how the mentors and Dean would handle it.
Lu Ping, however, was completely unaware and as calm as Chu Min, who was drinking during the meeting. He was surprised to see the students from Tianzhao College standing in a row against the wall. He looked at Chu Min's right side and waved to the students, "Come over here and sit, there are empty seats."
Bang!
A mentor from Tianzhao College, sitting opposite Lu Ping, whom he didn't recognize, slammed his hand on the table.
"Really from the mountains, with no sense of rules!" the mentor shouted.
"What rules?" Lu Ping asked, bewildered.
"Mentors discussing, do your students have the right to sit?" the mentor said bluntly, fearing that the mountain boy was too crude to understand deeper discussions.
Lu Ping turned to Chu Min, "Teacher Chu Min, can we sit?"
"Yes," Chu Min said.
Lu Ping nodded and made a "did you hear that" face to the mentor opposite him. The meaning was clear: his teacher didn't think the rules were necessary, so they weren't. As for the mentor, who was he?
The students were shocked again.
If the students were unruly, it was one thing, but the fact that their teacher was also unruly was another. These two were a perfect match! The atmosphere on the left and right sides of the conference table was completely different!
"Alright, let's get to the point!" Xia Bojian said calmly, stopping the mentor from further anger. He was also angry at the guy lying on the table, facing him with just a cowlick, but if he provoked further, what if Chu Min killed the mentor? This mentor, his early student, was named Xie Li. After graduating from Tianzhao College, he returned to become a mentor, always with a short temper. If Chu Min said something like that, Xie Li, with his temper, would definitely not tolerate it, and if he didn't, he would probably be killed. Even if he wasn't killed, it would be very embarrassing.
Xie Li held back; for him, Dean Xia Bojian's words were more effective than Dean Yun Chong's.
Dean Yun Chong finally spoke, not immediately discussing the matter but focusing on the state of Su Tang and Mo Lin.
"You used that method," Yun Chong said to Chu Min.
"Yes," Chu Min nodded.
"This method is prohibited by the college," Xia Bojian immediately followed. He and Yun Chong quickly saw what state Su Tang and Mo Lin were in. This cultivation method was called "Soul Cutting," and they both knew it. However, "Soul Cutting" was never considered a proper cultivation method but rather a shortcut and a dangerous path. No formal college would ever use such a risky method, at any time. Only those "Dark Colleges" that operated in secret and were rejected by formal colleges would include such methods in their curriculum.
If it were known that a prestigious college like Tianzhao College was using "Soul Cutting," a method that disregarded students' lives, it would be a scandal. The college would not allow the use of this method and would not tolerate a mentor who used it.
"But the problem is, they are not Tianzhao College students," Chu Min said.
"Are they not visiting students?" Xia Bojian looked at Yun Chong in surprise.
Yun Chong smiled bitterly. He had indeed invited these few to become visiting students at Tianzhao College, but they were cruelly rejected. If this were known, it would definitely shatter many people's perceptions. Calling them mountain bumpkins, but they didn't even consider Tianzhao College worth their time.
"Not Tianzhao College students, why should they receive guidance from Tianzhao College!" Xia Bojian found a new point of attack.
"Because I want to," Chu Min immediately became unreasonable, making Xia Bojian so angry that he slammed the table again. He knew that this rule wasn't very strict, and many mentors privately taught non-college people. But Chu Min was clearly ignoring the rules. Xia Bojian believed that even if it were a very strict rule, if Chu Min wanted to teach, she would teach. This woman was just that unreasonable.
"But your student killed my student," Xia Bojian said through gritted teeth.
"I said it's because he deserved it," Chu Min said.
"You are completely unreasonable," Xia Bojian was almost driven mad.
"Use your soul power to sense properly, then talk about reason," Chu Min said.
Xia Bojian was slightly stunned. Could there be some detail he had overlooked?
Xia Bojian, though unwilling to admit it, activated his soul power again. Chu Min seemed to be certain he wouldn't sense anything and gave him a clear hint: "Wenyan's right rib."
Wenyan?
Xia Bojian was taken aback. What could be wrong with Wenyan? He hadn't seriously checked, but following Chu Min's hint and sensing Wenyan's right rib, Xia Bojian's expression gradually changed.
Not just him, but other mentors who could sense to a similar degree and discover something in this sensing began to fall silent.
No one knew better than Xia Bojian, even Chu Min didn't.
Wenyan's right rib was where she was injured, and the residual soul power at this injury was from his star student, Luo Ting. One... another... another...
Xia Bojian could even sense how many times the air soul power had attacked, and the method Luo Ting used was clear to anyone.
Air
