Xiaofeng logged into his email and found an encrypted message. He entered the password and opened it. Several photos appeared on the screen. In the photos, a man in his forties, dressed in a black suit, was smiling with a beard characteristic of the Japanese.

"Is it Sanno Watanabe?" Xiaofeng's brows furrowed, and a murderous intent flashed in his eyes. "It's him!" His hands, which were on the keyboard, clenched into fists, making a cracking sound.

After a long while, Xiaofeng reined in his murderous intent and tried to calm himself down: "No wonder A of Hearts was so sure I would agree."

He scrolled down the page and continued reading the text: "On August 27th, Sanno Watanabe will come to Jiuchuan to hatch a conspiracy. If the conspiracy succeeds, Jiuchuan will fall into disaster, with at least 100,000 deaths! Don't underestimate this conspiracy; the lives of tens of thousands are just the beginning!"

Reading this, Xiaofeng's eyes widened: "Damn! What are the Japanese bastards planning to do!"

His eyes quickly scanned down: "A of Spades, given my understanding of you, even if we don't talk about the name 'Sanno Watanabe,' for the sake of these tens of thousands of citizens, you would also take on this 'small task.' Besides, you have old grudges with Sanno Watanabe. Ha ha, your decision concerns the lives of tens of thousands of citizens, my great hero, see you later."

"Is this considered a small task?" Xiaofeng gritted his teeth, staring at the message, and slammed his hand on the table: "Conspiracy? What kind of conspiracy! Damn, I've been tricked by A of Hearts. Being a hero, what's the point of being a hero!"

However, despite his words, Xiaofeng was indeed tightly bound by A of Hearts. Yes, tens of thousands of lives, Xiaofeng couldn't ignore them.

"Sanno Watanabe, new and old grudges, let's settle them all this time! China is not your backyard where you can come and go as you please!" Xiaofeng stared at the photo on the screen, his eyes narrowing, and a murderous aura enveloped him.

He typed two words, 'Accepted!' and clicked to reply to the email.

After calming down, Xiaofeng went upstairs to get a stack of cash and left the villa.

Having lived here for three months, he needed to go out and buy some clothes. Since he had nothing to do in the afternoon, he decided to go out for a walk.

Fenghuangyuan was not far from the city center, about a ten-minute drive. He hailed a taxi: "To Gulou."

Gulou, a famous commercial pedestrian street in Jiuchuan City, was bustling with activity.

Getting out of the car, Xiaofeng looked at the surrounding skyscrapers and couldn't help but smile, sighing at how much things had changed. When he left, the buildings in Jiuchuan weren't as tall, and there weren't as many cars.

He wandered around, casually buying a few Armani and other brand casual outfits, and started walking around Gulou.

"Hey~ beautiful lady~" Suddenly, Xiaofeng's eyes widened, staring at a beautiful woman on the street, his face lecherous. "Big chest, slim waist, curvy hips, long legs~"

Just as Xiaofeng was staring at the woman, a figure blocked his view: "Brat, you're enjoying looking at my girl, aren't you?"

Xiaofeng was taken aback, feeling quite uncomfortable. Damn, if I can't have a full meal, can't I even look at the menu? He pursed his lips, ready to curse: "Damn~ huh? It's you? Scoundrel!!"

He took a closer look at the man in front of him, a lecherous face with a lecherous smile. This image in Xiaofeng's mind could only match one person: private detective Liu Liu.

"Hey, kid, what are you staring at the woman's ass for! You really haven't changed!" Liu Liu grinned, spreading his arms wide.

"Ha ha. I wasn't looking at her ass, I was looking at her chest!" Xiaofeng laughed and gave Liu Liu a big bear hug.

Meeting his brother, they naturally exchanged pleasantries. Finally, Liu Liu pulled Xiaofeng: "Come on, brother, let's go for a drink."

"Ha ha, I'm not afraid of drinking with you!" Xiaofeng laughed and nodded. But as soon as he took a step, he frowned: "Are you injured?"

Liu Liu was taken aback, then smiled: "It's nothing, I just got hit by a punch earlier." He pointed to his chest. "Ouch, how did you know?"

Xiaofeng shook his head, not answering Liu Liu's question. "Go to the hospital and get checked. Your ribs are probably broken." How could he say he smelled the blood?

"Ah? Broken?!" Liu Liu was shocked: "I didn't feel much pain! Just a bit of skin was broken, nothing else."

Xiaofeng looked at Liu Liu: "Yes, they're broken. Don't ask me why I know; you wouldn't understand. It's a professional issue." Not to mention, even if the ribs were broken, he had hundreds of ways to make someone feel no pain.

"..." Liu Liu was speechless, quickly nodding: "I trust your 'professionalism,' let's go to the hospital." He pulled Xiaofeng and left.

Since there was nothing else to do, Xiaofeng followed Liu Liu out of the pedestrian street and drove straight to the hospital.

"Still working as a private detective?" Xiaofeng glanced at Liu Liu beside him.

Liu Liu nodded: "What else can I do? I was originally tailing a rich lady today, but ended up getting my ribs broken for no reason."

Liu Liu's face was somewhat gloomy. After all, no one's face would look good after their ribs were broken.

"Hey, the famous detective Liu Liu, now reduced to this? Four years ago, you wouldn't have taken such a job," Xiaofeng joked.

Liu Liu sighed, softening his expression: "Economic crisis, tough business." He shook his head, indicating that he was forced to take such jobs to make a living.

"Scoundrel, help me investigate something." Xiaofeng's expression suddenly became serious.

Liu Liu was taken aback; he rarely saw Xiaofeng with such a serious expression.

"Tell me, as long as I can do it, I will." Liu Liu said, his face equally serious.

"Help me investigate my background." Eight words, slow and forceful.

Liu Liu opened his mouth, then nodded: "Okay, you're not in a hurry, right?"

Xiaofeng smiled: "Three months. Take care of your injuries first." He trusted Liu Liu's abilities.

They arrived at the hospital and immediately took an X-ray. The results were as Xiaofeng had said: two ribs were broken.

Liu Liu was admitted to a ward, and Xiaofeng stood outside the door, opening the X-ray and examining it carefully.

"Broken by a hidden force, not bad skills. Ha ha, but my brother Xiaofeng isn't someone to be hit easily!" Xiaofeng laughed coldly.

He put the X-ray back in the envelope and pushed open the door to the ward.

"Scoundrel, are you in pain now?" Xiaofeng placed the X-ray on the bedside table and asked casually.

Liu Liu's face was pale, and cold sweat was pouring down. "Damn, that guy hit me hard. Don't let me run into him again. Where are the doctors? Where are the doctors?!"

Xiaofeng ignored the 'No Smoking' sign, took out a cigarette, and threw one to Liu Liu: "Have a smoke, it can help with the pain."

Liu Liu's hands trembled as he picked up the cigarette and lit it, taking a deep drag: "Xiaofeng, you haven't told me what you've been doing these past few years. You didn't go abroad to be a mercenary, did you?"

Liu Liu squinted, looking at Xiaofeng. As a private detective, his sensitivity was much higher than that of ordinary people. Moreover, he knew that Xiaofeng's combat skills were astonishing.

Xiaofeng smiled ambiguously: "Mercenary? Which mercenary organization could afford me? Alright, scoundrel, don't try to pry into my past. You should worry more about yourself; the pain will get worse soon."

As if to verify Xiaofeng's words, Liu Liu's body began to tremble, and the veins on his forehead bulged: "Ah! Damn, where are the doctors!"

"Hello, this is a hospital. Please keep quiet. No smoking in the ward. Please put out your cigarette." The door opened, and a young nurse walked in, smiling at Liu Liu.

If it were any other time, Liu Liu wouldn't have minded, but now, with his chest in agony, this nurse wouldn't even let him call for help! "Keep quiet, my ass! Damn, where are the doctors?"

Xiaofeng shook his head helplessly. This guy was usually quite refined, but rarely showed such a frenzied state. Ignoring Liu Liu, he turned to the nurse.

"Hey, I said it, the girls in Jiuchuan are really beautiful!" Xiaofeng's eyes lit up as he looked at the nurse.

Wearing a white nurse's uniform, her tall and slender figure was accentuated. Her smooth skin glowed, and her cute little nose was slightly wrinkled, as if annoyed by Liu Liu's rudeness.

There's a saying, isn't there? Not pursuing a girl is a great sin; pursuing every girl is a righteous act... Xiaofeng always followed this principle!

"Ah, Miss Nurse, I'm sorry, my friend has a mental problem, please don't take it personally." Xiaofeng, calling himself a 'versatile Casanova,' wouldn't miss the chance to chat with such a beautiful woman.

Liu Liu, seeing Xiaofeng flirt, couldn't help but laugh: "Xiaofeng, you're still the same as four years ago!"

Xiaofeng pretended not to hear Liu Liu's words and glanced at the name tag on the nurse's chest: "Oh, Miss Lin Lin, I apologize on behalf of my friend."

The nurse, who had never been addressed as 'Miss' before, felt a bit uncomfortable. Especially seeing Xiaofeng's sincere apology, she became even more uneasy and shook her head: "It's okay, ha ha, I don't mind."

Xiaofeng seized the opportunity and smiled: "May I invite Miss Lin Lin for dinner to apologize? If you say 'no,' my conscience will be troubled."

At this moment, Xiaofeng was far from the lecherous and scoundrel he was with Dingding, appearing as elegant as a gentleman. Especially his melancholic eyes, which were incredibly charming.

The nurse's heart raced at Xiaofeng's words, and she lowered her head: "No, it's not necessary..." Her voice was barely audible.

"Brother, we need to pick the right time to flirt. Nurse, please call the doctor for me, okay?" Liu Liu cried out in pain.

Hearing Liu Liu's words, the nurse's face turned red, and she nodded, running out of the ward.

Seeing the nurse leave, Xiaofeng pouted, and his gentlemanly demeanor vanished. He sat lazily in a chair: "Scoundrel, stop whining, it's not that serious."

"Damn!" Liu Liu, in pain, raised his middle finger.

The nurse brought in several doctors. Xiaofeng stepped back, pulled the nurse aside, and winked, then left the ward.
