chapter 43

The cast of ‘Demon Fox’ was basically elite. Director Xu had great hopes for this film and strived for perfection in every detail. As soon as Su Yuanyuan entered the crew, she felt that there was a great difference. Even a world difference, between the big investment and the big production and their ‘Cute Dog Susu’. The atmosphere on the set was also much more serious, unlike in the set of ‘Cute Dog Susu’, where she could run and play happily.

Fang Lizhe greeted Director Xu with Su Yuanyuan in his arms. Director Xu looked at Su Yuanyuan’s white and soft appearance and said, “Xiao Fang, later, she will cooperate with the female lead to shoot the fox demon being injured scene. The makeup is heavier and the test of acting skills would be bigger, okay?”

Fang Lizhe smiled confidently, ” Director Xu can rest assured. Although Xiaobai is a little fox, she is very intelligent and won’t make trouble. If Director Xu isn’t satisfied when shooting, just tell me. I will guide her at the side. “

After hearing this, Director Xu was relieved, patting him on the shoulder and saying, “Go put on her makeup. As soon as the female lead finishes her scene, she will go with Susu. Susu is Xiaobai’s stage name, right? I think Susu is quite good. In this circle, a name is also important. Xiaobai isn’t suitable.”

“Thank you for your guidance, Director Xu. I’ll take Susu over right now.”

“Go. “

A special make-up artist was waiting in the make-up room. As soon as Candy saw Su Yuanyuan, she cried out, “Oh my God! It’s unacceptable to put this kind of makeup on Susu! How can I do that to such a cute girl?”

Su Yuanyuan enjoyed Candy’s praise, and jumped from Fang Lizhe’s arms to the makeup chair, and sat upright. Fang Lizhe smiled and said, “Hello Candy. Susu loves filming. She’s very happy to try different things this time. You just need to put on makeup. Susu will definitely have a good time later. “

Candy shook her head and sighed again and again, but she picked up the makeup tool in her hand and began to put makeup on Su Yuanyuan. She came back from studying abroad. When she was studying abroad, she worked as a makeup artist assistant with a production team in America. She worked very well. Director Xu especially invited her to take charge of Su Yuanyuan’s makeup.

It wasn’t easy to turn a healthy and cute fox into a scarred, seriously injured and dying one, but Candy had a plan in mind and moved very fast. Su Yuanyuan was also very cooperative, and the process was very smooth. Candy exclaimed while putting on makeup seriously, “Susu is so good. I was afraid before and asked Director Xu for more time. Brother Fang, how did you train her?”

Fang Lizhe waved his hand, “Susu herself is full of enthusiasm, she likes to act, and very happy to cooperate. I don’t have any credit. “

“Brother Fang is too modest. Before that, when I was working in ‘Dog Agent’, I also did make up for small animals. It was very taxing, I was exhausted every day. I wouldn’t have come this time if Director Xu hadn’t given me a higher pay. I didn’t expect Susu to be so awesome! I hope I can work so easily every day in the future, okay, Susu?” Candy looked down with a smile and gave Su Yuanyuan a wink.

Su Yuanyuan wanted to respond to her very much, but because she was just a ‘smart fox’, she ignored the other party decisively and quietly closed her eyes on her chair. The appearance of a seriously injured fox in the mirror was quite novel at first, but it was a bit tiresome to see over and over. So, it was better for her to take a nap to recharge her batteries.

Candy didn’t get a response, but didn’t care. She smiled and accelerated her hand movements. She worked for over 40 minutes and finally got the ‘serious injury’ makeup done!

Candy looked at her masterpiece and clapped her hands happily, “Perfect! No trace of fakery at all, what do you think, Brother Fang? Is there anything unsatisfactory?”

“No, it’s too real. Thank you, Candy!” Fang Lizhe let go of his clenched fist beside his legs. He slowly stepped forward and squatted in front of Su Yuanyuan and gently called her, “Susu … Susu?”

Su Yuanyuan opened her eyes and called to him twice. She felt that something was wrong with him. She simply sat up and looked at him while tilting her head.

Fang Lizhe gently held her little paws and was relieved to see that she was as lively as usual. Although he knew it was makeup, it was so messy and bloody, it still made him very uncomfortable to see, as if he was worried that one day Su Yuanyuan would really become like this.

He picked up Su Yuanyuan and smiled faintly: “It’s okay, we’ll go out not. Act well. You can take off the makeup soon, so you don’t have to feel so bad.”

Su Yuanyuan let out a cry to show that she understood, and she was already eager to act!

In this scene, the fox demon was betrayed by her beloved, ambushed without any defense, and was badly wounded by Daoist priests. So, she was captured in her true form. Because there are many actors participating in this scene, and it was also a martial arts drama, it was prone to problems. Xiang Tong, who played the fox demon human form, took a whole morning to finish her scenes.

Actors such as the male lead actor, Daoist priests and passers-by have been filming all morning, and then they also had to shoot with Su Yuanyuan, which was more likely to cause problems when they were tired. In addition, Su Yuanyuan was a little fox, which may cause many problems, so Director Xu Dao the whole afternoon and the whole evening.

Su Yuanyuan listened to Fang Lizhe’s instructions and wondered; today’s scene was only one third of Xiang Tong’s, how could he arrange more time than Xiang Tong? But when she started acting, she put everything behind her, and instantly entered the role as a badly wounded trapped beast struggling in a big net.

The other actors froze for a moment. Even Director Xu didn’t expect her to get into the scene instantly. Su Yuanyuan waited for a few seconds and no one responded. She simply looked up and screamed in the direction of male lead. Her sadness, anger and resentment were all conveyed through her eyes and roar!

The male lead actor got a fright, subconsciously regressed a few steps, sat down on the ground with weak legs, he froze and forgot his lines.

Director Xu immediately stood up and frowned angrily, “Cut! What’s happening? Are you dumb?”

The male lead actor reacted and got up to apologize. “I’m sorry. Sorry, Director Xu. It’s my fault, I definitely won’t do it again next time.”

Director Xu still frowned discontentedly. He thought it would be a mistake from the little fox. But in the end, these several actors weren’t as good as the little fox. How could they shoot?! He looked at Su Yuanyuan, and was surprised to find that Su Yuanyuan had acted so quickly, and was quietly lying in the net to watch them. She didn’t look sad and angry at all. It was really acting!

He clapped his hands and loudly admonished, “Be smart! If you couldn’t compare to Susu, where should you put your faces? Be at your best! Shoot early and finish early!”

After the stage manager hit the film card, Su Yuanyuan once again entered the role in seconds, desperately struggling.

The male lead actor immediately showed fear, and while retreating, he quickly said, “Daoist Master, take her away! Take her away!”

Su Yuanyuan stopped and looked up at him. Although she didn’t roar, her red eyes and the low whine in her throat were stabbing people’s hearts, as if asking him why he betrayed her. Are those deep feelings in the past, all fake?

The male lead actor’s heart was beating so fast that cold sweat was left behind. He gulped and stammered out his lines: “You… don’t blame me. Blame yourself for being a demon. Who made you think you could be my wife? You hurt me first. I… I took your demon Dan to saved my Mother. There is nothing wrong with it! Human beings and demons are different!”

Here, he was supposed to be very aggressive, which was different from Director Xu’s instructions, but Director Xu saw it and felt an unusual harmony, staring at the screen and never shouting ‘cut’. Fang Lizhe made a gesture to the Daoist priest outside the camera view, and the Daoist priest immediately answered calmly, “There’s no need to talk nonsense with demons. She’s an animal. Taking its demon Dan to save someone is also a merit. This gentleman’s move was a good choice.”

Su Yuanyuan instantly looked at the bast*rd Daoist priest, struggled with all her strength, and roared at him!

The Daoist priest quickly took out some spells and threw them all at Su Yuanyuan, and Su Yuanyuan stood still. The Daoist priest secretly breathed a sigh of relief, tied Su Yuanyuan with a whip full of thorns, lifted her easily, turned back and smiled proudly, saying, “My lord, this poor Daoist lives up to expectations. Let’s go back to the house and prepare something to retrieve her demon Dan!”

The whip was an imitation with soft thorns on it. Su Yuanyuan didn’t feel any pain when she was tied, and cooperated with him to show a weak appearance. Only her eyes leaked out deep resentment, staring at the male lead actor in front of her, as if she wanted to take revenge for everything today, ten times, no, one hundred times over!

Director Xu quickly ordered the camera to capture Su Yuanyuan’s eyes, and stood up in surprise and shouted, “Yes!”

“This scene is done! Not bad! Very good!”

The several actors who were filming came to their senses and were surprised to find that they were all deeply involved in the play just now. They paid all their attention to the little fox and made no mistakes at all. Director Xu looked at his watch and found that the scene had only been filmed for half an hour. He happily said, “Next scene, move quickly. Shoot the next scene, fox demon escapes, and goes back to the mountain to heal!”

No one expected Su Yuanyuan to film so quickly. It was more than the absence of ‘trouble with small animals’, it was simply better than the starring male and female actors. Just now, they didn’t even dare to raise their voices. They held their breath and watched the fox demon get caught by the Daoist priest, and they were distracted by Su Yuanyuan’s eyes. What was this ability? This was a scene only for Film Emperors and Movie Queens! Can’t you see that Director Xu has praised her several times?

Xiang Tong looked at Su Yuanyuan in surprise and smiled at Fang Lizhe, “Brother Fang, ‘Little Su’ really deserves her reputation! It seems that I have to work harder, or I would be ruined by my ‘true form’.”

Fang Lizhe picked up Su Yuanyuan, touched the imitation thorn whip wrapped around her, and smiled back, “I’m flattered, Susu was lucky to have a little talent in this respect.”

“Brother Fang is too modest. Today is Brother Fang and Susu’s first day in the group, I’ll buy dinner tonight. I’ll call on everyone to liven it up a little, Brother Fang must give face.”

Fang Lizhe naturally wouldn’t miss the opportunity to have a good relationship with the crew, he nodded, “Let’s get together. I also want to ask everyone to take care of Susu. This meal is my treat. Don’t argue with me. I’m going to discuss it with the Assistant Director.”

“Then I won’t argue with Brother Fang. I’ll have another chance in the future. ” Xiang Tong showed a bright smile. She was very nice to talk to, and didn’t have any ‘female lead’ arrogance. She seemed to have a good feeling about them too, and wanted to reach out and touch Su Yuanyuan.

Su Yuanyuan immediately turned back and laid in Fang Lizhe’s arms, cleverly avoiding touch.

Fang Lizhe was surprised, touched Su Yuanyuan’s little head, and apologized to Xiang Tong, saying, “Sorry, Susu’s a little afraid of strangers. She isn’t used to contact with others except for filming.”

Xiang Tong calmly took her hand back and smiled, “It’s okay. Maybe it would be better when I get acquainted later, I watched ‘Cute Dog Susu’ and always liked Susu. Brother Fang’s acting is also very good, I hope Brother Fang could give me pointers when we get the chance.”

Fang Lizhe lightly laughed, “Xiang Tong you must be joking, you’re a skilled and budding starlet. After shooting this film, you would be an A-list actress, how could you need my guidance? You go to take a break, or look for Director Xu for guidance, it may be your scene next. I’ll go find the Assistant Director.”

“OK! I’m already familiar with this crew, Brother Fang can come to me for anything in the future, you can also talk to my assistant.”

“Okay.”

Fang Lizhe nodded and carried Su Yuanyuan towards the Assistant Director. After no one was around, he whispered to Su Yuanyuan, “What’s wrong? You don’t like Xiang Tong?”

Su Yuanyuan hummed twice. This woman was supposed to be one of Feng Hui’s harem members. Of course, she didn’t like her very much. Besides, isn’t there a saying ‘there’s no free lunch in the world, and there are no unexplained benefits’? Don’t let her touch her. Who knows what she wanted to do with such enthusiasm? In the original story, she was very cold to Feng Hui!
