This was more like an order for her to leave than a mere hint. Tan Xin was infuriated. She was always respected and favored, ever since her childhood. Scarcely in her life had she been humiliated like this.

No one dared to speak to her in such a tone. Yet now she lost to Bai Weijin who could not compare with her in the war of romance and was kicked out, which left her on the verge of a breakdown.

Her features twisted out of shape. At this moment she was no longer the angel-like lady but a fiery devil. Tan Xin tremblingly raised her head, pointing her finger at Bai Weijin’s calm face and screaming.

“Bai Weijin! How… How dare you drive me away!”

The cry was shrill enough to make Bai Weijin grow irritable. She rubbed her ears without even glancing at Tan Xin, “Security!”

Two hefty men pushed the door open and politely asked Tan Xin to leave. Unwilling to give up, Tan Xin just ignored them. Her gaze was fixed on Bai Weijin and she was trying to spot a weak point on the latter’s expressionless face.

Yet she failed. Bai Weijin noticed her gaze and friendly nodded at her, “Miss Tan, you might as well consider my suggestion. The local hospital is not far away, and you can get there by taxi. The registration fee is ten yuan, but cash only. I can lend you if you take no change.”

Tan Xin was struck dumb with anger. Bai Weijin signaled for the security guards who were at a loss, and they nodded at Tan Xin who was speechless with anger after exchanging glances, “Excuse me, lady!”

Then they reached out their hands, dragging Tan Xin out of the room by force and then down to the first floor amid the gossip of the crowd.

People who passed by were greatly shocked. Her hair tousled, Tan Xin showed a fierce look on her face. She stamped her foot in anger and almost sprained her ankle. The receptionist who knew her tried to help her up but was pushed away.

‘Bai Weijin, you’re the first person to provoke me, and you’ll be the last!’

‘Gu Yeze will surely be my husband!”

Soon Tan Xin came to her senses. Having slightly fixed her clothes, she hobbled away from the front desk and made a phone call.

“Hello?” A cold voice came on the phone.

On hearing Gu Yeze’s voice, Tan Xin immediately regained her composure and started to regret what she had done just now.

She cleared her throat, “Yeze”.

“Is that Tan Xin speaking?” asked Gu Yeze.

Tan Xin was disappointed. ‘How can he not save my phone number?’

“Eh, you may need to talk to Miss Bai. She seemed to have misunderstood something.” Tan Xin was rather vague.

Gu Yeze’s face changed. He tried to repress his feelings and asked calmly, “Bai Weijin? What’s wrong with her?”

“Nothing, she was just being impulsive, I suppose. Don’t blame her, it’s also my fault. I shouldn’t have paid the visit.”

Gu Yeze made no reply. Tan Xin continued in an affectedly aggrieved voice.

“I know she doesn’t like me, but she… she drove me out of the company in the presence of all the staff. How am I gonna show up in public?”

Tan Xin became tearful.

Gu Yeze frowned.

“Bai Weijin is not an unreasonable person.” He gave an unequivocal answer. Tan Xin paused.

She immediately followed up, “She certainly isn’t. As I said, it’s my fault. I’m a mere outsider and must learn less of company affairs than she does. I really shouldn’t have disagreed with her.”

Tan Xin changed the subject.

“You have a good insight into business. Don’t reproach yourself.” Gu Yeze said that and hung up.

He felt there was something wrong with it.

He had entrusted Tan Xin with the centennial celebration. Her professional skill and dexterousness never let him down.

It was normal for her and Bai Weijin to disagree with each other in business. But why did Bai Weijin kick her out?

‘Is she so unreasonable?’

“Go find out what happened today.” Gu Yeze ordered.

“Yes.” No sooner had he finished than a sound came from the dark.

About three minutes later, a man in a black suit came, “President Gu”.

Gu Yeze put his hand on his knee and nodded as a signal for the man to go on.

“Mrs. Gu seems to have had a row with Miss Tan, and then… Miss Tan was kicked out of Gu’s.” The man hesitated before uttering the last few words, for he felt the controlled anger of Gu Yeze.

Having worked under Gu Yeze for years, he knew a lot about his boss and thus only reported to him what happened to Bai Weijin.

As the phone call finished, a grim smile played across Tan Xin’s lips.

‘Bai Weijin, Gu Yeze will talk to you for my sake. May that wipe the smile off your face?’

After Tan Xin was chased away, there was no one but Bai Weijin left in the office. A great sense of tiredness and sadness came over her.

She wanna cry but stopped, for fear of letting anyone know that. At the moment, her phone rang. Bai Weijin picked it up, to find that it was from the man who disappeared for all night.

‘Are you gonna blame me for what I’ve done to your lover?’ Bai Weijin gave a sneer and answered the phone.

“What can I do for you, sir?”

Her icy voice greatly irritated Gu Yeze who hesitated for a long time before making the phone call. The man landed a punch on the wall, snorting with laughter, “Mrs. Gu, I never expect you’ll drive her out of the company.”

Bai Weijin froze. A pang of pain suddenly came over her.

Yet she had no idea Gu Yeze just needed an excuse to call her. Both of them were too proud to soften their attitude, and the result could only be mutual injury.
