The mobile phone shook abruptly in her hand. Bai Weijin picked it up weakly and saw that it was Grandma Gu.

She had turned her phone into mute mode, but the annoying vibrating sound just couldn’t stop. Finally, she managed to answer the phone.

Bai Weijin was about to think further when the door opened. Light filled the place and darkness was gone. Bai Weijin squinted. The slender figure in front of her looked somehow familiar and hostile. Bai Weijin raised her head and took a look. Sure enough, it was Tan Xin.

“Why are you here?” It was incredible that Tan Xin should attend the family dinner of Gu’s family.

Bai Weijin, who had always been reserved, nearly lost her composure. She had been upset many times today, which was a little overwhelming for her. She growled and looked at Tan Xin warily.

Bai Weijin specially stressed the words “Miss Tan”. Then she went into the kitchen without looking at Gu Yeze.

“Why is Miss Bai coming into the kitchen?” Seeing Bai Weijin come in, Tan Xin was not surprised. She glanced at Bai Weijin, and then continued to cut the vegetables. Bai Weijin sneered and walked to Tan Xin, “You call me Miss Bai?”

“Isn’t it painful to live with a man who doesn’t love you at all? I advise you to leave as soon as possible.” Tan Xin contentedly looked at Bai Weijin’s sadness and sighed. Then she poured the beaten eggs into the pan which was filled with oil. The eggs were sizzling with a wonderful aroma.

“See, although it’s very sad to be with someone who doesn’t love me, I feel that my life is quite good when I see the great fortune of Gu’s family and when someone calls me Mrs. Gu.”

Bai Weijin helped Tan Xin to bring the dishes to the table, which was already full of foods. All the dishes, with both great look and taste, were Gu Yeze and Grandma’s favorite.

Tan Xin was left alone in the kitchen, gasping angrily, “Bai Weijin!”
