‘How dare you?’ Bai Weijin cast a surprised look at the young men present.

It seemed to be the first time that she was offended in this way since she married to Gu Yeze. ‘Aren’t they afraid?’

Having sensed Bai Weijin’s astonishment, a blond-haired youth stood up to act as a mediator.

“Sorry, Mrs. Gu. These guys are drunk.”

Then his tone suddenly changed into an aggressive one. “But, Mrs. Gu, we have done nothing wrong, haven’t we? I’m afraid it’s improper for your name if you insist on making trouble.”

Bai Weijin frowned. She was clear that the youth was right. After all, it was quite often to propose toasts at a wedding.

Instead, she’s rather curt when she tried to take the bridesmaid away.

“Ok,” Bai Weijin stared at the young man, “Will you suggest any way out?”

If he had no plan at all, he wouldn’t have made the utterance. Bai Weijin gave a sneer. She was quite familiar with the way these spoiled children tended to act.

As expected, the blonde-haired man casually picked up a cocktail from the table and said.

“Relax. We’ll not make things difficult for you, but as a token of your respect, would you mind drinking this glass of wine?”

‘It’s reasonable.’ Bai Weijin thought for a while before giving a nod. ‘As he said, he isn’t making things difficult.’

‘But…’

With a thoughtful look, Bai Weijin stepped forward and picked up another cocktail on the table. She shook the glass, saying, “I prefer this type”.

“Would you mind my drinking this one?”

In case there’s any intrigue behind, Bai Weijin felt it safer to take one from public areas.

Aware of Bai Weijin’s prudence, the youth gave a meaningful smile while making a “please” gesture, answering.

“Of course not, Mrs. Gu.”

Bai Weijin held the glass up and finished off the wine with one gulp. The crowd all cheered and clapped.

“Well done!”

“Bravo!”

Her keen eyes swept the hall. Bai Weijin ignored the people around but stepped towards Chu Jiran who was teetering.

Supporting Chu Jiran by the arm, Bai Weijin frowned, for she didn’t expect him to be so weighty.

“Jiran, wake up,” muttered Bai Weijin, “Show me the way to your room, and I take you there for a rest.” ”

Seemingly embarrassed to support himself on a woman’s shoulder, Chu Jiran moved aside.

They walked slowly in the direction of his room.

No one saw a smug smile played across the lips of the blond-haired man.

Every cocktail was spiked with a philter, and it would take effect when encountering with one certain spice, which, was placed in advance in Chu Jiran’s room.

The next thing they were to do was to wait and see.

With a squeak, Bai Weijin pushed the door open, struggling to bring Chu Jiran in. Exhausted, she threw Chu Jiran on the bed with all her strength.

Bai Weijin panted from her exertions, and her dress was sweat-stained. ‘What’s wrong with me? I haven’t done much.’

‘I might have lacked exercise these days.’

She took one bottle of mineral water, downing the whole in one swig. Yet her mouth was still dry.

Suddenly, the air was filled with a strange scent. Bai Weijin gradually fell into a stupor. ‘What’s this? It smells nice.’

Amid the fragrance, Bai Weijin walked unconsciously toward Chu Jiran’s bed step by step. He was sleeping soundly, and Bai Weijin felt a little sleepy, too.

‘How about I also have a rest here?’

The very thought scared Bai Weijin to death. She suddenly came to her senses. ‘Is there anything wrong with the drink? Or why would I like to sleep by Chu Jiran?’

However, she found nothing wrong with her body, except that she felt a bit out of it.

Bai Weijin heaved a sigh of relief, yet she couldn’t get herself totally relaxed. After all, this was not her own home, and anything was possible.

In a trance, Bai Weijin fell asleep at the bedside.

‘Just a little break.’

Minutes later, Bai Weijin went off to dreamland.

This time, Tan Xin specifically chose a drug that took effect slowly but was extremely powerful, so that Bai Weijin could become unconscious without knowing it.

Hours passed. Suddenly, someone turned the door handle. Clicks came from outside, yet none of them were aware.

When the door opened, one craned his neck in and then sneaked into the room. At the sight of the two falling asleep, the man breathed a sigh of relief.

‘She wasn’t lying to me. They both went into a coma, and I can do my job as planned.’

A hand reached out to untie Bai Weijin’s evening dress without her knowing.

When her smooth skin exposed in the air, the man swallowed subconsciously. He was burning with lewd desire.

‘I’m taking nude photos of her, anyway, how about doing something else?’

“Think about how you will wind up if you do something you shouldn’t!”

Tan Xin’s cold warning came to mind. A shiver ran though him. ‘I can’t afford to provoke either of them.’

Amidst her sleep, Bai Weijin vaguely felt someone taking off her clothes and uttered a murmur subconsciously. The man was scared stiff.

‘Is she gonna wake up?’

He stopped. A few minutes later, Bai Weijin made no sound any more, which put the guy’s mind at rest. He did it faster.
