Perhaps it was because Yeonwoo kept dodging around that his temper flared up.
The cry of the Red O'Gong was incredibly sharp.
Thud!
'Weak point. Where is the weak point?'
Yeonwoo kept circling around the Red O'Gong, subtly provoking it.
Thanks to the agility and stamina stats he had steadily built up in Area A, he didn't slow down or tire out.
Occasionally, he would exploit the openings the Red O'Gong revealed.
There was a place where the creature's soft underbelly was exposed.
Between the shell and the skin.
He thrust and split the greatsword through the joints, then pulled back.
Kyaah!
After repeating this a few times, the floor was drenched with the Red O'Gong's blood and bodily fluids.
Yet, the creature showed no signs of tiring.
His temper flared even more, and it became even more ferocious.
'There's a huge gap between traps and monsters. I need to really feel this difference.'
Unlike traps, which only required evasion, monsters needed to be hunted directly.
He had to face a beast that wanted to eat him.
From a broader perspective, it wasn't much different from his time in Africa.
'But a monster is a living being. It must have a weak point. Weak point. Wait. Weak point?'
Then, something clicked in Yeonwoo's mind.
'Dragon Horse Eye!'
His eyes sank deeply. His pupils expanded, and his vision turned black, focusing on the Red O'Gong.
The creature appeared as a figure made of black lines.
Though it was only a rough outline, like a sketch, he could see the fine details between the lines.
And the points where the lines concentrated.
'I found it.'
Between the head and the neck.
In human terms, it was the cervical vertebrae.
Why hadn't he thought to use the Dragon Horse Eye on a living being before?
He had always used it on inanimate objects, so he had limited it to that.
But now that he had found it, he kept the Dragon Horse Eye active and observed the Red O'Gong's movements.
Of course, finding the weak point didn't make the hunt easier.
The creature was still fast, fierce, and strong.
Most importantly, unlike inanimate objects, the Red O'Gong's weak point was constantly moving.
It was difficult to hit a small spot at the exact right moment.
Another issue was the limited duration of the Dragon Horse Eye.
Boom!
Yeonwoo distanced himself from the shattered stone powder, enhancing all his senses even more.
He wanted to observe the Red O'Gong's movements more closely.
Kikikik.
The creature spun along the curved wall and charged down.
Yeonwoo quickly moved his left leg, waiting for the moment when the Red O'Gong raised its pincers and roared.
'Now!'
Whoosh!
Yeonwoo pushed off the ground and lunged forward.
The Red O'Gong, thinking its prey had finally lost its mind, clicked its pincers.
With dozens of legs moving, it charged like a bull with its horns raised.
Yeonwoo, while dodging the creature's head again, grabbed the shell with his left hand, leaped high, and landed on its neck.
He then thrust the greatsword, which he held in reverse, forcefully into the weak point.
Puck!
